  1. My problem is you only present Reich as another option, and he (even if we had hired to the Bills) would not be allowed to coach Josh right now. Please give us something constructive by telling us someone Josh Allen should be training with. And please remember he is not allowed to practice with the staff per the CBA
  2. But the point a lot of folks are making is that we aren't up against the cap at the moment. So by this logic its not really a terrible thing that we are overpaying him which is my opinion.
  3. Haven’t seen anything. The bills depth chart has him behind Gaines and Pitts. Do we trust that since he started last week. That chart has gained starting https://www.buffalobills.com/team/depth-chart
  4. Think of how much better Allen could be after he watched for a year. ?
  5. Still pumped for the kid. Buy him some gloves. I don’t think it’ll hurt his almost 50 yard average
  6. Yeah I posted that up thread. I’m not sure how folks can argue the results. They played Texas A&M and dominated that phase of the game. My sound was off but that looked like a drill more than live game. Kid can really boot it from his video. I love the frequency of 50 yard fair catches.
  7. You guys love punters so why not watch this 28 minute video of the kid. I got through a bunch of kicks and damn he looks good. I love the fair catches on the 50 yarders. Also we love to talk about small schools. This kid made the UNM ST look like all stars even against SEC competition. @BillsFan692 I agree they got the Coleman one wrong and others have made the point the cost wasn’t much. But I think they probably put more research on this punter than Coleman. I feel like (someone who watches hard knocks can tell me) the Coleman trade was the Browns GM just calling Beane up to see if he wanted him. Beane said sure I have some spare change for a former 1st rounder. To steal a guy from under neath the hoodie requires research if he didn’t kick all preseason. It it was obvious they were moving on form Schmidt (agree carter would’ve won if not for injury). I’m pretty pumped for this kid but as has been said we will see.
  8. After last year I still get the yearn to be competitive from these guys. I think they will look to make a move if it’s there. I don’t really think there is a great move out there anyway though.
  9. Heard this a couple times. Why do we want to roll it over if we already have plenty of cap? Not opposed to the idea just confused
  10. I guess to keep going the DL is 50% new and not the same. Also this FO didn’t give shady his money. As mentioned you seem to be ranting. I could kee going but I am also tired
  11. Looks like @Bangarang got you sorted. But wanted to answer one question. I do believe we have already paid him all this dead cap were talking about in the form of a signing bonus. It would just be accelerated against the cap. I would normally be concerned about the dead cap you were mentioning because you still have to replace the player, but as I mentioned I think were in a good spot next couple years. Good discussion!
  12. You get savings cutting Star in 2020 so we are stuck with him for 2 years. The savings for Trent after this year are > 5 mil so thats a very easy contract to get out of. We also have a ton of cap space starting next year so Im not too worried about dead cap as I would other years because we can still afford a replacement.
  13. Probably wanted the goal line rep. I would never kick an xp in preseason. Goal line reps are more important than seeing xps
  14. While he isnt getting reps yet I would think Corey Coleman is above Streater. I think they keep at least 6 (including Streater and Coleman).
  15. I was most surprised at the number of RBs you put as probable and you dont think theres a punting competition. Good work as always. Can you summarize the number of spots not taken in blue and black with the remaining reds fighting for them? Thanks.
  16. I think Milano is only penciled in as started Should this continue along into the week and the game on Friday, then perhaps there is something more to this. However, the Bills love Milano and likely just needed to challenge him a bit to get a response. The difference is between him and O'Leary is that O'Leary has been bleeding reps a lot longer. If Milano starts taking reps back then I wouldn't worry about it. But O'Leary seems to have some work to do to make the roster.
  17. HAHAHA that was in the article too. Milano was great last year, and I think he is in a better spot than O'Leary. However, LB and TE are both positions we can look to improve.
  18. Interesting cause I thought the protection last night was pretty good. Maybe its just the third string O Line
  19. McD mentioned Redmond's play a C today. Some took it as an opening for Groy to slide to Guard potentially.
  20. I get your point and can agree. I would use different language than basic competence; I would probably say regularly achieving 300 yards would be good QB play rather than basic competence.
  21. Totally support this. I think you might find the magic number to 150 yards or so where theres steep drop off. Taylor throws for 160 and bills win seemed like a pretty common stat line. I would also not expect a strong negative correlation with <2 TDs, but would with 0 TDs If you think less than 200 yards is a major deficiency I think we should look at the data to see how the win percentages compare. I got a funny feeling its better than the win % of the 300+ yards. Also "better correlated" versus "more significant" would the correct term I believe as even yards per game show statistical significance just worse correlation than TD% etc..
  22. Further on your point about any stat out of context doesnt tell the whole story. 300 pass yards per game is the perfect example of that statement!!!!! This stat tells you almost nothing about who won the game. That this line gets thrown around so much is annoying. Yes Kelly could win you a game through the air and TT could not. Shouldn't you be able to see that in another stat like TD% as was alluded to? This 300 pass yards per game needs to die as a metric thats considered to successful QBs. To the fan of the team it shouldn't mean almost nothing; to fantasy football player it means a lot more.
