Available players released from other teams
YattaOkasan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No sweat I was just poking the bear. It was others putting those other guys here. -
HAHA you were in the Williams vs Milano thread saying we should retain Williams, Feliciano, and sign a pro bowl OL. Not sure what resigning Star means, but if it means cutting him I don't know what else to say other than youre not thinking about this seriously. Moving Heaven and Earth will not be enough for the wish list you described with Von Miller.

Hmm... Thread title change? Golladay and Henry are not releases. Still gonna use F5 for this thread either way. -
Sure. I dont think hell take it Agree we dont have anyone in the fold and not retaining them would make us "worse." However I do think we can get better than Felicianio if we use the assets he would command on someone else. Simple answer for the Chiefs game was that Feliciano got beat by Chris Jones. I think many think hes our aggressive physical player, but he didnt really look like it that game. You could probably save $25 million ish by cutting butler and restructuring all of the others. I would prefer doing that and keeping them on the team (if we cut Addison our DE group is Hughes, Epenesa, Johnson).

I think we can upgrade from Feliciano. I do not think he was good this year. If we bring him back I hope there is competition for his spot. I do not think we can upgrade from Williams so we should pay him. Bates and Boettger are not moving the needle for me. Ford hasnt played as well as Boettger yet but has more starter starter traits so will hold out hope. I can live with a competition between them for a G spot. I 100% agree with spending draft capital on the OL this year. I think at least two picks one of which is our first or second. I put OL as a priority over TE tbh.

See the Greg Tompsett tweets or his video on FA. But in short there are "likely" to be earned incentives and "non-likely". The designation is made by your performance the previous year. If you would have earned the incentive the previous year then its a "likely" and comes of the coming years cap (if unearned then it you get it back in the next year). If you wouldn't (no matter the circumstances), then its "non-likely" and comes off from the next year if earned.

Not if these spot trac numbers are correct. I dont think feliciano played that great. If he wants to get paid (he hasnt been yet) he will not be back imo. Since tackle is more important I think they should resign Williams. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/daryl-williams-16828/market-value/ https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/jon-feliciano-16854/market-value/

Friendly reminder we dont really have anyone under contract on the OL (LT and C starters only). We need help; we don't need to lose an above average player to save cap. Continuity is not the reason when we will likely lose at least one of starting RG and RT from last year and we will likely roll with a new LG. Agree with @BarleyNY that we should be drafting his replacement this year (along with at least one other OL). TE does not seem like a place we will spend a lot this FA because of our cap restrictions and I expect us to use a mid round pick on one again.

Just dropping by to say we only have 6 OL on the roster even. This include Jordan Devey, Ryan Bates, and Trey Adams. We have a huge need on the OL. Put me in the camp of resign Williams and draft 2 OL this year (1 Tackle 1 iOL) along with a tender for Ike. Numbers from https://overthecap.com/calculator/buffalo-bills/

can someone explain the disadvantage for the player from Field yates? I wouldve thought the conversion becomes dead cap spread across the years. So yes the cap number is higher but the dead cap number is higher too. higher dead cap is a positive for the player with regards to him staying on the team (see Mario Addison).

How can the bills afford Diggs and Allen
YattaOkasan replied to dbfla10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stefon has little leverage if he doesnt play under his current contract (I believe he doesnt vest if he doesnt play), and we have him for 3 more years. This really isnt a conversation cause that trade was sneaky good because Diggs' contract was very reasonable. -
Failure to adjust to playoff officiating
YattaOkasan replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Then they should offset it with the facemask Kelce was grabbing on the stem of that route. All of their holding was much worse. This did not lose us the game but was very frustrating. I will also say Chris Jones threw a punch. That should be reviewable. -
I made it to the End! Couple thoughts. I drink in all the media. We havent been in the championship before so I'm gonna listen to it all. Melody and Andrew Perna are great watches all the time (Washington Potatoes was the best way to deal with that franchise). I also very much like the Cover 1 guys as they are very insightful and measured. Most of the main media has been super up and down but Orlovsky, Hasselback, and Mina Kines have all been very excited about the Bills (along with GMFB). Simms is an interesting case. I think he tries to correct for how much he loves Josh. I was shocked when he had Josh as 18th best QB to start the season. Hes picked against us a fair bit too and I think its an over correction because he doesnt wanna be biased. In many ways this is a great weekend for Simms. He was high on Mahomes before most, obviously we know he loves our boy blue (probably his best theme song), and Rogers is his GOAT. Lastly he isnt as high on Brady cause of the cheating. He will be very happy when we win. For the game, I am so excited cause we def left a lot of meat on the bone in the last game. Very even matched offenses (more than the media thinks), and I think we have an edge on Defense (though they might have 3 of the top 4 players). Its been a great year and I'm excited to see it continue after Sunday night. Heres some more of Simms; I do think he likes Josh a ton (I disagree though on our defense cause i am pretty confident its better than theirs)
