  1. Better at every position? There are a lot of draws to me. OL, RB, DL, and Secondary would be draws for me. I would give us the advantage at off ball LB. Obviously they are better at TE as their room is pushing for best in the league. Maybe they have the advantage at DL if youre bullish on Van Noy and Judon but I'm liking what I'm hearing about our dudes.
  2. It’s schafenfraude for us. Really who’s trolling who?
  3. You literally said point me to where I have debated the QBs. You don’t seem to agree with the OP. So I chuckled at that.
  4. I also found the response about not debating QBs in this thread funny.
  5. we were 12th in DVOA for the year, and we were clearly trending up at the end of the year. does that make you feel better?
  6. Dare I say we have the 2 best QBs in the division?🤣
  7. Expectations last year were pretty high (not as high as this year admittedly), and they responded really well to being the favorites to win the division. I feel good they can rise to the challenge again.
  8. I see yeah I guess I’m wrong. But that is super atypical I have to imagine.
  9. Wasn’t necessarily trying to do that, but yes in the 70s the QB was less critical. I did want to pop this terry bradshaw is a great QB balloon. He wasn’t really and he shouldn’t be commenting anymore (see his comments on josh).
  10. Just to clarify if Fromm is on the PS we can’t counter if he gets an offer. But I agree he or Webb is safe on the PS
  11. No reason for Webb to move to QB coach if he can stick around. The league is a sucker but to put fromm on an active roster seems like a stretch.
  12. If you think being on the PS is being retained then yes. But no thank you with him on the 53. Good thing is I don’t think anyone would claim him and he would make the PS. I also think almost any draft pick we got for him would be a good replacement next year.
  13. Not sure it was intentional as Mitch ducked, but I guess I wouldnt be shocked if it was. Noting that it was to his left is a good observation!
  14. You can't teach accuracy!!!
  15. Love that he hits it with Mitch walking in front of him at the last moment!
  16. Thanks for explaining. I see and agree with many of your points. I think coaching was also the biggest issue in that game. I will rewatch the game with focus on Levi, but I do remember LB and Nickel having a few rough plays. I also can appreciate the point about shading help (usually Hyde) to him more (Joe M mentioned as well). I just land in a different place relative to priorities, but I do understand your logic. At this point itll just play out. Thanks again for talking through it.
  17. The point on man is he is not a liability. You are arguing he is a liability in man right? on the slow and weak i did make a bit of a jump that would cause poor tackling. his length def helps him in tackling. I guess the question is what priority is this? you have said you think DL is higher priority. what about nickel corner? with limited resources you have to prioritize. I put this upgrading levi down the list. do i want an upgrade (yes would like an upgrade everywhere), but how much does it cost relative to what we get.
  18. strongly recommend you listen to that pod. McD has had elite defense here with Wallace. I think LB injuries had more to do with last year than CB2 performance. Hell nickel corner was more of a problem to me than CB3 (though taron did start playing alot better with the rest of the defense in the 2nd half of the season).
  19. For a slow/weak guy he has a really good tackle rate (best on the defense by a lot). His man coverage numbers were better than Tre's. Theres a lot of mitigating factors in man coverage numbers though (like tre gets the #1), but hes not as bad as you think. Listen to the Joe Marino podcast on him. He lays it all out.
  20. To that point I found the focus on the negative play of the colts game very interesting. Yes that one play was bad, but they are not in the game let alone winning it if he doesn't play outstanding the rest of the game. I honestly thought the game was over when we went up 2TDs (!) in the 4th quarter. Our defense really struggled.
  21. I think you can add what I said above. If Diggs made Allen then Diggs has to be the best WR ever cause noone has made a jump like Allen. Thats effectively what they are arguing.
  22. Good topic @Inigo Montoya Bruce Nolan discussed this a week or two ago. Basically it boiled down to that since josh Allen had such a historical leap that diggs would have to be the best all time receiver to be the cause. He’s not so diggs didn’t make Allen. This argument loses sight of how historic of a jump was. Wanna say it’s flukey? Sure. Wanna say it’s cause of one WR? No way.
  23. Awesome OP. I agree he is the replacement for John Brown as he showed much better ability on the outside than slot. I do need to see improvement in separation before i book him for 1000 yards and 10 TDs. However, I also feel confident that over his rookie contract he will improve his breaks and ultimately separation as he has shown to be a tremendous worker. Really like rooting for this guy and excited for him to be a Bill for a long time.
  24. Would add that Josh did a ton of work in college to get better. It was moreover that Josh was so raw coming out of HS that noone wanted him. Mac Jones has been playing long and looks like football has been a focus for a lot longer (his private HS was known for athletics). Josh didnt go to elite camps and obviously Firebaugh is not a HS that can be focused on sports. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if Jones has thrown more than Josh despite Jones being 2 years younger.
