  1. Doesn’t make sense for Tremaine to have waited to sign a contract and risk injury. If he resigns it is what it is. Would prefer to put all the resources to the offense. Tremaine has played well just not elite, still only 24 tho it feels like he has been a Bill forever
  2. Yea I’m a die hard Bills fan, I check this board multiple times a day and I felt drained by the end of the season and conflicted about football fandom in general after Hamlin. I can only imagine how the actual players must have felt.
  3. McDermott and Frazier are too scared of letting up the big play. It was painfully obvious in their two playoffs against KC and last week against the Bengals. We have Josh freaking Allen so it is ok to be more aggressive because we usually can score with the best of them. Get Josh an OLine and reduce the cushion and hold on routes more in the playoffs.
  4. Id recommend quoting some of the bigger points you are looking to discuss. From reading through things, this year was certainly a year where cheaper QBs had a lot of success. BUT Burrow and Hurts are due more massive paydays probably this offseason, Mahomes is still cruising, and if you look at the past several years highly paid QBs have done well. For the Bills, Josh’s contract will make constructing a team around him tough for a few years but then his contract will fall below Burrow, Hurts, Lamar, etc and will be a relative bargain again. If you mean Beane’s quotes about the Bengals roster, I do think he was getting a little defensive and probably should have deflected. But I don’t think it is terribly incriminating, it is pretty on the nose as to why they have so much talent on their roster just probably could have been said a little better.
  5. Good team, lucky to be in NFC team
  6. The NFC is terrible, like the top 5 QBs are all on the AFC side so all Jalen Hurts has to do is beat Danny Dimes and one handed Brock Purdy to make the SB. They did the same thing in 2017 beating Matt Ryan and our very own Case Keemun to make the SB. They have had great luck recently.
  7. Honestly, no. In some world there is probably a scenario where Spencer eventually becomes a solid stater for some team. However, he was too big of a liability this year. After the whooping our line took all year, I think a tackle in the first round or ponying up for a proven good starter is likely. That will push Brown to swing tackle where he will play out the next two years and probably move on. Hope the best for him but too important of a position to play around.
  8. The reason is because McDermott is very close to Baylor HC and Bernard was a very good teammate with some talent. Not a good pick imo as you can see from my post history but McDermott takes his connections’ recommendations very seriously. For example, Baylors HC Aranda was the LSU DC when we drafted Tre.
  9. Not sure Aaron is going to want to further mimic Favres career by being traded to the Jets. Though from a roster standpoint there isn’t a ton better options
  10. Yea I just don’t see it. Most of his plays he is getting a free release and then outrunning people. You need more to be a big time receiver in the NFL, like Metcalf is someone you mentioned who is mostly slants and 9s but he is physical enough to punish players that get hands on him trying to disrupt his route. Maybe Hyatt can develop into it but it’s mostly projection at this point. I still think there can be a valuable role for him in an offense but I don’t see a lot that projects to superstar.
  11. WR were pushed up the board a ton last year so he may go rd1. I think that would be a mistake for the Bills. He reminds me of Tyquan Thornton last year who got reached on by the Pats in the beginning of the second round. Lots of speed, limited route tree.
  12. Honestly, last year was the year to draft a WR in the first round. Addison I think has the most potential to develop into a big time player from the potential round 1 guys not named Johnston but he still needs to get thicker and work on his drops more. If only we had drafted Pickens or Watson. Dontayvion Wicks UVA has some good abilities if we went someone later round to run clear outs and develop for a few years. Shakir I think will be a good slot guy for us starting next year so don’t think we will go for a slot type. This is probably the year to add an OT in the first. Steen from Bama, Johnson from OSU, and Duncan from Maryland would all be nice additions at that point. Hyatt would be a nice addition in rd2 for WR.
  13. Zay Flowers is 5’10’’ not 6’2’’
  14. Yes, if I remember right I started on that board in 06 and was on regularly until it shut down. Once I realized it was gone and not just something wrong with my computer I found here and am so thankful for TBD.
  15. KC plays our receivers the exact same way the past two years. They can’t call all of them, and in many cases in the playoffs the refs let things play out more. That’s why we have struggled against not great secondaries the last three years. It was clear in the regular season game the Bengals wanted to punk us as they played to and through the whistle until the cancellation. They thought they could out tough guy us. We should have been ready for the physicality this week. We will see if we make the adjustment next year…
  16. I doubt Burrow takes a Mahomes deal. The Watson deal is the new standard and better for the player. Imo you are dreaming about that type of contract. I would be hopeful that the Brown family is less stingy than Mike if I was a Bengals fan too. But the Bengals ownership is still the poorest of these very rich teams (aside from the Packers). There will be real cash limitations that other poorer teams deal with. Look at the list of teams at the bottom and aside from the Steelers it is perennial bad teams partly because the exploding cap makes this an Uber-rich mans game. The Bills were in this boat with Ralph too, it’s tough to out scout, out develop and out coach for long. Good luck.
  17. Nah, right now Burrow, Chase and Higgins are cheap. Once they all require mega deals they will be broken up because Mike Brown is cheap. Also good chance they start losing good coordinators like we did. They got another 2-3 years max of this. They will always be good with Burrow tho
  18. Pass, I stopped watching football after last years loss. I’ll do the same this year.
  19. Still a lot of time left to catch up. Terrible start, but game isn’t over. Bengals are a good team and our D is statistically bad at beginning of game and gets better as the game goes along. Let’s go Josh
  20. It was 2020 that he had the concussion and the turf toe at the same time. The concussion was the concern of whether he may not play but of course he cleared and the rest is history. This high ankle sprain is going to make it very hard on the Chiefs going forward. Cover Kelce with as much man-power as you can because Mahomes won’t be able to extend the play wait for mediocre receivers to eventually come open like he has. Whoever wins this game has the weakest Chiefs team since 2017 in its way to the Super Bowl.
  21. it was turf toe https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/04/05/kansas-city-chiefs-patrick-mahomes-toe-injury-update-walking-boot-picture/
  22. Gonna be a close one folks. Doug Peterson is 6-0 in postseason as an underdog against the spread (currently +8.5). And 5-1 times winning outright. Chiefs are 1-4 ATS coming out of a bye since 2020. Aside from the numbers, the Chiefs defense is not good enough to put the Jaguars away for good. Chiefs probably do still win but likely somewhere around 3-6 points imo, but a loss would not be shocking.
  23. Ruiz is my least favorite guy at the Ringer. He thinks Justin Herbert is the best QB to have ever been born and has said multiple times Herbert is better than Allen already. If he ever beats Mahomes he will move him up to #1 on his list. I generally try to avoid anything he writes because while I think he watches a lot of football, I don’t think he understands that the QB position is more than making the “correct” read every play. Sometimes Ruiz sneaks into a Ringer clip without me realizing and that’s where I get to hear that Herbert is already the second best QB in the world. Bro can’t hold onto a 27 point lead but he made the correct check down based on coverage so he is sooooo great. The Bills are going to win a Super Bowl because of Josh Allen, not in spite of him. This hand wringing over turnovers by the media and a lot of our fans needs to relax.
  24. I was a Mixon fantasy owner this past year so unfortunately I watched a lot of Bengals. If I am Frazier, I am dropping all but 3 or 4 guys, running a bunch of stunts up front, and daring Cinnci to beat us running. Mixon is not very good and he was terrible the beginning of the year until the OL started to gel. Now with them down potentially 3 of 5 starters, I would not worry about Mixon and his sub 3 ypc he was getting at the beginning of the year. He is not explosive enough to take it to the house if he does manage to sneak into the secondary. Perine is actually better but he is still not a very good runner, better outlet out of backfield. Burrow is going to be fine with the OL in shambles but their running game is going to be bad.
  25. Lol one was an actual deep completion to Diggs that helped us start 17-0. I think Josh did determine where he was going with the ball prior to the snap many times when he saw single high and knowing he was going to have pressure really fast, rather than going through progressions. Especially on those play action shots, I’m ok with that. All this hand wringing about the game needs to relax. Miami was a tough out for us all year so it was always going to be a tighter game than predicted. Additionally, the Dolphins knew that they needed to force turnovers and so sent a blitz on nearly 40% of Josh’s drop backs. They certainly got their turnovers but they still let up 34 points and lost with that gamble everything strategy. No other team in the playoffs is going to blitz Josh like that and if they do he will make them pay again. Dorsey could do a little more to counteract some of the Blitzing which will help Josh. Screens, heavy packages, etc which will stop Josh from going deep if that is what Dorsey wants. But I think they knew this was coming and this was the game plan. Go Bills!!
