Such a fun press conference. They asked McKenzie if calling Milano his favorite player was an inside joke and McKenzie was like nah and listed all the amazing plays he watched Milano make. He also said that he is gonna meet up with our new punter next week, remind him about week 17 and get to work on the punt returns. He is gunning for that job. here is the press conference if people want it

It's Officially That Time Of Year Again - Post Your 2021 Mock Drafts

Very good draft, really like Darden and Jefferson as late round skill position players. -
Thanks and Farewell to Matt Barkley
LEBills replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His last pass as a Buffalo Bill was a 56 yard touchdown to Gabe Davis to finish the Fish beatdown week 17. Not too shabby, Matt. Thanks for helping Josh the last few years. Good luck in the future. -
This is a really nice move. Upgrade over Barkley and could develop some value as a trade asset or as a comp pick later down the road for some desperate QB teams

Josh Imatorbhebhe vertical - wow

Apparently he has lost a few fractions of an inch since high school then: This is pretty insane -
Not who I was hoping for but he was actually pretty good with New Orleans last year. Including getting deep completions. And that’s with Brees really struggling to get the ball downfield.

Raiders cut center Rodney Hudson, possibly cash poor

Sounds like the ole cash to the cap Bills...having one of the less rich owners in the league and years of low revenue from their old stadium maybe? -

Overall, Bojo. From people not on our team last year, Trai Turner -
Overrated, lots of injuries, has already torn his ACL twice in 2014 and 2018.

Our AFCCG team is back! Excited to see what this upcoming week and the draft do to add onto our bid to take that next step towards the Super Bowl.

I’d be pretty happy getting Humphries in Rd 2 for IOL. Guy was like a boulder at the senior bowl though those testing numbers are a bit surprising compared to seeing him play (good athlete, didn’t think great). But I think Quinn Meinerz from Wisconsin White Water and David Moore out of Grambling State are the two best IOL values in the draft, even with Meinerz probably being a second round pick anymore. Both of them have that attitude you want out of a lineman as well.

Thoughts on Curtis Samuel
LEBills replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Getting a team like the Bucs would be great, not always possible. In the end, adding a WR in free agency isn’t going to kill us. What we have to do is hit on a good chunk of the players we decide to draft like the Bucs did with white, David, Davis, Godwin, Evans, etc etc etc. However, the year before the Chiefs won a super bowl over a well rounded team with crazy skill possession players and a few impact defensive players like Matthieu, Clark and Jones. So I guess what I’m trying to say is there is a lot of ways to win a Super Bowl but I think our best chance is through Joshs right arm and an upgrade of our offense (OL, WR, RB) and so I want to focus on building that and I think Samuel would check off the WR box. -

Even with all that success Brady still left for a team with great receivers. Get your QB as much help as you can each year. On the other hand no way Aaron Rodgers should have only been to just one Super Bowl. -

For me, we know Josh is our future. Don’t mess around like some other franchises have done with their great QBs by not surrounding them with the best offense that they could have possibly fielded (NE, GB, HOU). Curtis Samuel is a unique player that gives your offense both a lateral and vertical threat. 12 mil may seem like a lot but the salary cap will likely rebound in a year or two anyway before Joshs big extension kicks in. Get Samuel, resign D Williams, draft a couple guards and centers and Kenneth Gainwell and let Josh do the rest. -
Scout Report Jaelan Phillips Edge Miami

He is talented, too many concussions. There are some talented smaller school pash rushers later in the draft (can sample, Emerson Smith, Tarron Jackson) that is where I think we will go for it. If we are gonna get better at pass rush it is probably coming through FA this year, IMO. -
Bills prospect Syracuse CB Ifeatu Melifonwu

Man, I remember when his brother Obi blew up the combine, was drafted by the raiders in the second round and promptly was a bust. He may be a better player but probably can get a better player at 30. Though I do think we will draft a few CBs this year. -
I guess Andrew Luck isn’t unretiring? Colts are gonna be a tough team this year
-
Yea I lived in the Philadelphia area back in 2017, Wentz was pretty darn good that year. He has really struggled the last few years but the team around him was a mess. I don’t think he is all world but I still think he is a pretty good quarterback and an upgrade from Rivers if he went to Indy. if the bears trade for him it’s just more of the same dysfunction and he will probably continue to struggle.

Brown, Jefferson and Butler will likely be gone. A lot of money to free up for a more premier signing and with production you can get back with cheaper free agents/draft picks. Lee Smith should be gone too but we will see. I think Jerry and Micah will be here another year, they are team leaders and not great but ok players.

For me, it’s still all about getting Josh weapons. We spent a ton of money on the defense last year just to play bend but don’t break, if we are gonna do that it’s time to stock up on WR, OL and RB to help Josh. I love John Brown, he was a revelation for us last year but the guys career has been hampered by injuries including this year. I think you have to cut him to get the cap savings but then I’d put it right to Curtis Samuel. Not only does he have McBeane’s Panthers connection, he is fast, grades very well in separation statistics and can make plays at each level including the backfield. He is a more versatile player that would be able to perform John Brown and McKenzies roles. Diggs/Samuel/Beasley/Davis in 4 WR sets sounds very good. And I’ll hold out hope for an Evan Engram trade where Beane fleeces his old buddy Gettleman too.

This x1000. KC defense isn’t that good, but they didn’t respect our running game and just played coverage all night and made it very hard on our wide receivers
