I though AJ popped on occasion later in the regular season too. I still think the plan is for next year when Addison and Hughes are gone so I’m not expecting much prior so anything else is a bonus!

Thats the luxury of having a QB on a rookie deal, things are about to change big time. So I’d be pretty shocked if we don’t draft a CB next since that is another expensive premium position like defensive end that we need good, cheap production from. Getting our QB right was the tough part, but managing a team with a QB on a massive deal is not going to be easy either. Let’s hope these recent drafts hit on a lot of players!

Landen Dickerson or Creed Humphrey would make the center of our OLine look a lot stronger...which would have been helpful against the chiefs... but I think it will be a CB (probably Adebo) Also, Michael Carter was always the best running back in this class, if Beane is looking to add a player there.

He will be practicing and all the other things a football player does but I wouldn’t expect a ton of opportunities with Hughes, Addison and AJ ahead of him and with Obada and DJ getting reps at DE as well. They brought AJ along slowly last year

I think this year will be a kind of redshirt year for Rousseau with a lot of healthy scratches, similar to AJ last year. They will let him come in, meet the dietician, hit the weights and then will be expected to be ready for 2022. Beane was true to his words of thinking long term in his team building with this pick. Hopefully day two brings a CB2 and NT or iOL

Beane comes from that Gettleman tree of being reluctant to trade down especially since they really like Rousseau

McBeane seems to have a type. Tall, long, productive ends that fall down boards when they disappoint during athletic testing. It’s still very early on both, I guess we will see what happens in a few years. Still have 6 picks to go...

For someone who likes good RAS guys, Beane takes Edge guys that do not test well. His length certainly is an asset but had a lot of players ranked higher than him.
