  1. This. Everyone is so concerned about the Chiefs on this board. Well, their 2019 SB season they went 2-4 between weeks 5 and 10. Losses and losing streaks happen in every season. It’s a long season.
  2. We have invested a ton of assets into the defense which has had many injuries this year. At full force with Tre, Poyer, Hyde, Milano, Edmunds and Elam, it is an elite unit who will hold opposing teams scoring very low. I personally would have put more premium assets into the offense over the past few years, but I don’t think it is a poorly constructed roster. Just a defensive heavy, injured one that relies on its $250 million quarterback to pick up a lot of the slack on offense.
  3. Coaching football is hard. We have seen some terrible losses in McDermotts tenure…Petermans 5 picks, Hail Murray, 13 seconds, whatever you call last week BUT he does seem to learn from and coach against these things going forward. We went back to Tyrod and made the playoffs, Hyde knocked down the Hail Mary attempt against the Colts to get our first playoff win in 25 years, we dropped all but three rushers with a spy against Mahomes on the last drive of the game this time, and now this week we were ok grinding out the game with the run even if the Browns started cutting into our lead. McDermott has the highest winning percentage of any Bills coach, he broke our 17 year playoff drought and he has the pre-season Super Bowl favorite on his hands. He is not perfect, but he really tries to improve his imperfections and there are few coaches we could want over him imo. No season is without its bumpy moments, it’s all about not letting them ruin your season. Despite the rumors, I think McDermott, staff and team are going to be very very good going forward. And you got a small glimpse behind the curtain of it today.
  4. For a week where they barely practiced, scrambled to the airport yesterday and played a road “home game” I think they did fine. They stopped Chubb and let the Browns try to beat them with Brissett. They planned to run the ball with a lead even if it meant the offense stalled and the Browns got to do some garbage time catching up. To me, that’s learning from last week when they should have ran more against Minnesota. Go Billls!!
  5. I’m not too worried about it still. It stinks that both our losses are division losses but each have been on the road with half our defense missing. Josh has had some uncharacteristic miscues the last 1.5 games but has been unbelievably good the past season. As long as his arm isn’t injured he will bounce back. Lastly, Green Bay put on tape that we are vulnerable against the run and the Jets used that to limit Wilson’s attempts and control the clock. The Bills will need to figure that out. When we are a little more healthy, I have faith McDermott and Frazier can get it fixed. We are 6-2, still atop the AFC. Go Bills!
  6. fake account, we all know McDermott eats Raisin Bran not cookies
  7. Rather just roll with what we have. Hines is a marginal upgrade if that.
  8. Hockenson is a good, not elite tight end. Detroit knows it’s a couple years away from actually competing and their cheap owner wasn’t going to be happy paying a guaranteed 9+ million for a tight end next year and then however much more after that. I think it is a good trade for the Vikings to get a well rounded tight end and not that bad a trade for the Lions long term. Second round pick is worth more to them than 1.5 more years of Hockenson. I’m not worried about the Bills not getting him.
  9. QBR accounts for running too which he was very effective with last night and probably boosted his rating a bunch. Josh was fine overall, I think they were out of rhythm in the second half with how long the Packers held onto the ball on their drives so he got a little sloppy
  10. Rodgers is the moodiest football player I can ever remember watching
  11. Surprised considering Kamaras pending legal stuff. Their is still a couple days left tho, another Saints loss may change their tune
  12. Do they normally flex games into the 4:25 slot?
  13. Agreed Hamler would be the guy I’d be interested in. We don’t have a blazing fast guy and he won’t require a high pick to get
  14. this is it. Not a good idea for them long term, but Shanny is going to do some wild things with them on the field together this year
  15. It’s a skit done by some guys at BYU, they have a soccer one too where the guy keeps getting hit in the head and stopping the goal
  16. Bills also have not converted on 4 fourth down attempts, have kicked 9 field goals and who knows how many kneel downs for the half and end of game
  17. They also have the second most takeaways and a net positive differential of +3 which is why it hasn’t affected us much
  18. And both those players came into a playoff team Josh started from the bottom. Best QB in the league
  19. The way Shakir can contort his body and the speed he has after the catch is awesome. No drop off from McKenzie. Quentin Morris looks like a darn WR in a TE body (he was a converted WR in college). Knox is a good TE but Morris makes our TE2 a weapon
  20. This. Jacobs can actually fit under our current cap and the Raiders are about to bottom out so moving on from a player with an expiring contract will be the right move for them. He is no Saquon but can grind out tough yards behind a poor OL like the Raiders have.
  21. If both teams don’t move on from their coaches by year end, they are giving up on next year. Wilson is bad but getting a competent coach probably makes him look a little better (and they are tied to him until probably 2026 due to that contract extension). Indy needs to blow it up and get a first round QB.
  22. Cook has made plenty of mistakes so far - fumble on first carry, 15 yard penalty when he pass protected (he went low and a lineman went high), and the drop yesterday. However, he is a rookie so mistakes are to be expected, and he is a weapon we are going to need down the stretch. As good as Motor has been, getting Cook 5 receptions a game is probably going to be more productive than Motor because - at least in college - he can run routes further down the field as well as the shorter screen passes and dump offs Motor gets. And you can do this without even taking Motor off the field. With Gabe hobbled, McKenzie likely going through protocol, and Crowder in a boot; we need more production from our offensive players we have sunk a good amount of resources into: Knox and Cook. Now is the time to get them involved and let them keep playing even if they make mistakes.
