It would have helped to improve the talent level but we would still need an actually good boundary receiver. Ladd played from the slot a lot this year.

Agree but still draft another WR before a safety

Greg Rousseau Extended (4 years / 80M / 54M Guaranteed)
LEBills replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
greg is three years younger too. -
That’s his old DC from Philly so makes sense he goes to AZ
-
He’s Ok. He had a lot of chances to be the guy in LA but always kind of settled into that WR2 or 3 role. Keep drafting WRs early. Don’t let this and Samuel and Keon stop you from taking swings, Beane.

Give me Ward or Byron Murphy at CB I could probably even muster excitement for Eric Stokes, Kristian Fulton or Benny St Juste with a couple of drinks.

Stupid Daboll, you won’t even be there next year 😡

Today is the weirdest day on the NFL calendar
LEBills replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall
yes I know. I think you are thinking that each team has to wait until there 12 pm local time. They don’t, west coast teams can also start at 12 pm EST and won’t be penalized for it. -

Im pretty sure it starts at 12 pm EST, so the Seahawks would start at 9 am PST instead of having to wait till 12 there time -
DK Metcalf traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers

DK Metcalf traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers

Maybe the Steelers will trade Pickens with DK in town? Or maybe the Saints Olave? Those are the only trade options I can think of. In the meantime I’m gonna bump the ole draft [many] WRs this year thread. -

On the bright side, they’ll have the nicest darn volleyball courts for all the hungry people to see

Greg Rousseau Extended (4 years / 80M / 54M Guaranteed)
LEBills replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hendrickson had one very good season in NO before cashing in. It was a risk that paid off for the Bengals. I think Greg has shown several good seasons worthy of 7% of the salary cap. I like the stars and scrubs model too where you have a few superstars. But unless you draft those players, acquiring those top players is costly and I think the Rams are the only team I can remember pulling it off…and even with them their best player was drafted. I do think Beane gives out some silly contracts. Oliver and Bernard in particular. But I think this is one of his better contracts that can be part of building a good DLine. -

Greg actually has more sacks through his first 4 years (25), than Hendrickson did in his (20). And his new contract accounts for a little over 7% of the salary cap when Hendrickson’s accounted for a little over 8% back in 2021. I think this is actually a pretty good deal, especially since the Bills don’t have to give up any draft capital like they would for Hendrickson or Metcalf. -
After you pounded the table to draft Coleman last year and now this, I’m going to pre-order my Metcalf jersey
-
Like Kirk, he is best when aligned in the slot where we want Shakir to be.

Thoughts about older draft eligible players?
LEBills replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall
It depends. Alexander didn’t start at Toledo until his fifth year. That’s a concern to me because he couldn’t excel in the MAC until he was much older than most players. Porter is a little different because he was a converted WR so the move from O to D explains a little. Combine that with his top athleticism and I think it’s someone who may be able to be good in the NFL. So context matters, but generally, if a player couldn’t make an impact until he is older than his peers its a concern for me. -
Expensive, 32, KC has a lot of money tied up in a few players

Dalton Kincaid- why so underwhelming this season?
LEBills replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
22. I talked with a Bills source who told me Dalton Kincaid’s lack of production last year was because he was a lot more injured than folks realized. “He’s gonna be a sleeper next year, trust me,” I was told. What about Amari Cooper, I asked? A shrug. “He might be done.” The implication to me being that Cooper’s days as an elite WR1 might be over, not that he would be leaving Buffalo. I still expect that if anyone would be the focal point of the Bills’ passing offense, it would have to be Khalil Shakir. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/matthew-berry/news/matthew-berrys-25-most-interesting-things-he-heard-at-2025-nfl-combine This is notes from Matthew Berry’s time at the combine. As such it is focused on and filtered through a fantasy football lens. I do remember a couple of years ago being down on Spencer Brown. Beane kept mentioning that injuries were a key reason for his struggles. Hopefully Kincaid can make a similar turnaround in 2025… Sounds like Coop won’t be back -
I’m also lower on Burden than the WR2 or 3 he usually is ranked. The problem with him for the Bills if he does make it to 30 is he was basically exclusively a slot player and with us re-upping Shakir, that is a bit redundant. If we go WR at 30 it really needs to be someone who can win out wide.
