  1. KC plays our receivers the exact same way the past two years. They can’t call all of them, and in many cases in the playoffs the refs let things play out more. That’s why we have struggled against not great secondaries the last three years. It was clear in the regular season game the Bengals wanted to punk us as they played to and through the whistle until the cancellation. They thought they could out tough guy us. We should have been ready for the physicality this week. We will see if we make the adjustment next year…
  2. I doubt Burrow takes a Mahomes deal. The Watson deal is the new standard and better for the player. Imo you are dreaming about that type of contract. I would be hopeful that the Brown family is less stingy than Mike if I was a Bengals fan too. But the Bengals ownership is still the poorest of these very rich teams (aside from the Packers). There will be real cash limitations that other poorer teams deal with. Look at the list of teams at the bottom and aside from the Steelers it is perennial bad teams partly because the exploding cap makes this an Uber-rich mans game. The Bills were in this boat with Ralph too, it’s tough to out scout, out develop and out coach for long. Good luck.
  3. Nah, right now Burrow, Chase and Higgins are cheap. Once they all require mega deals they will be broken up because Mike Brown is cheap. Also good chance they start losing good coordinators like we did. They got another 2-3 years max of this. They will always be good with Burrow tho
  4. Pass, I stopped watching football after last years loss. I’ll do the same this year.
  5. Still a lot of time left to catch up. Terrible start, but game isn’t over. Bengals are a good team and our D is statistically bad at beginning of game and gets better as the game goes along. Let’s go Josh
  6. It was 2020 that he had the concussion and the turf toe at the same time. The concussion was the concern of whether he may not play but of course he cleared and the rest is history. This high ankle sprain is going to make it very hard on the Chiefs going forward. Cover Kelce with as much man-power as you can because Mahomes won’t be able to extend the play wait for mediocre receivers to eventually come open like he has. Whoever wins this game has the weakest Chiefs team since 2017 in its way to the Super Bowl.
  7. it was turf toe https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/04/05/kansas-city-chiefs-patrick-mahomes-toe-injury-update-walking-boot-picture/
  8. Gonna be a close one folks. Doug Peterson is 6-0 in postseason as an underdog against the spread (currently +8.5). And 5-1 times winning outright. Chiefs are 1-4 ATS coming out of a bye since 2020. Aside from the numbers, the Chiefs defense is not good enough to put the Jaguars away for good. Chiefs probably do still win but likely somewhere around 3-6 points imo, but a loss would not be shocking.
  9. Ruiz is my least favorite guy at the Ringer. He thinks Justin Herbert is the best QB to have ever been born and has said multiple times Herbert is better than Allen already. If he ever beats Mahomes he will move him up to #1 on his list. I generally try to avoid anything he writes because while I think he watches a lot of football, I don’t think he understands that the QB position is more than making the “correct” read every play. Sometimes Ruiz sneaks into a Ringer clip without me realizing and that’s where I get to hear that Herbert is already the second best QB in the world. Bro can’t hold onto a 27 point lead but he made the correct check down based on coverage so he is sooooo great. The Bills are going to win a Super Bowl because of Josh Allen, not in spite of him. This hand wringing over turnovers by the media and a lot of our fans needs to relax.
  10. I was a Mixon fantasy owner this past year so unfortunately I watched a lot of Bengals. If I am Frazier, I am dropping all but 3 or 4 guys, running a bunch of stunts up front, and daring Cinnci to beat us running. Mixon is not very good and he was terrible the beginning of the year until the OL started to gel. Now with them down potentially 3 of 5 starters, I would not worry about Mixon and his sub 3 ypc he was getting at the beginning of the year. He is not explosive enough to take it to the house if he does manage to sneak into the secondary. Perine is actually better but he is still not a very good runner, better outlet out of backfield. Burrow is going to be fine with the OL in shambles but their running game is going to be bad.
  11. Lol one was an actual deep completion to Diggs that helped us start 17-0. I think Josh did determine where he was going with the ball prior to the snap many times when he saw single high and knowing he was going to have pressure really fast, rather than going through progressions. Especially on those play action shots, I’m ok with that. All this hand wringing about the game needs to relax. Miami was a tough out for us all year so it was always going to be a tighter game than predicted. Additionally, the Dolphins knew that they needed to force turnovers and so sent a blitz on nearly 40% of Josh’s drop backs. They certainly got their turnovers but they still let up 34 points and lost with that gamble everything strategy. No other team in the playoffs is going to blitz Josh like that and if they do he will make them pay again. Dorsey could do a little more to counteract some of the Blitzing which will help Josh. Screens, heavy packages, etc which will stop Josh from going deep if that is what Dorsey wants. But I think they knew this was coming and this was the game plan. Go Bills!!
  12. We were favored when the game was being played in Cinnci and now we are at home. professional bettors love the Bills because our DVOA and other metrics they look at is awesome. The line is actually closer than it probably would have been before the Dolphins game. The Sharps will keep the money on the Bills but the public will likely bet the Bengals. I actually think this is going to be a KC game type of score 24-20 etc
  13. Aw man I guess we should forfeit. However… With the playoff expansion things are a little different because you had the one and the two seed coming off a bye to smoke a lower seeded team that played in WC. Also, they probably stopped at 3 decades because in 1993 the Bills comeback game they let up over 30 points and wound up in the Super Bowl again.
  14. he was on crutches with a knee brace https://bengalswire.usatoday.com/2023/01/16/bengals-jonah-williams-injury-crutches-knee-brace-playoff-win/
  15. Unfortunately, we want at least one more game of Romo after this one…as it means we made it to the AFCCG
  16. Have you looked at the teams they played after they acquired him? Saints, Panthers, Jags, Broncos, Steelers, Browns, Falcons, Steelers, Bengals 2x. Not exactly murderers row…
  17. Bengals are about the same team offensively home or on the road. But their defense is not the same on the road. About a half yard worse ypc and letting up 10 additional points in passer rating on the road. The Bills are going to need to run it well against their defensive ends to keep the rush off Josh like the Ravens did. On the flip side, our defensive line has to get home against a potentially very banged up offensive line. Go Bills, battle of heavy weights. Go Jaguars too.
  18. The Dolphins played Russian roulette by blitzing a ton to force turnovers and daring us to connect on the long pass. It worked just not enough. Obv the Bills could play better, but plenty of teams win close games against inferior teams and it doesn’t doom them going forward. 8 game winning streak!
  19. After Damar’s injury, I went into the rest of the season with the idea that we already won the biggest battle. Kept me much more calm this week than I would have been otherwise. I think in the end, the Dolphins are a gambling team. And it led to a lot of blitzes, a lot of turnovers, and an excruciatingly close game each meeting. All three of our meetings were decided by 3 points or less. But they went 1-2 with their gambles. I don’t think this means we are going to lose against a tougher team next week, to me we just survived the NFL version of Russian Roulette where the Dolphins played like their was nothing to lose, because they had nothing to lose. Excited to watch next week, whatever that may bring….but go Ravens! Haha
  20. Gabe was saving himself for the playoffs haha Now run clock and play defense Bills let’s go
  21. Who wouldn’t want a Superman jersey?
  22. Those Vikings are not good…..but they are going to get an overachieving Giants team in the WC Likely a 9ers team led by a rookie QB in divisional then they just have to pull a rabbit out of their arse against the winner of likely Philly/Dallas Bills Vikes baby! Haha
  23. I think best scenario for us going into tomorrows games is…. 1. Bills win and clinch 2 seed 2. Bengals lose to Baltimore and are 3 seed (unlikely without Lamar playing tomorrow) 3. Chargers lose to Broncos (again, very unlikely) 4. Miami loses WC: #2 Bills vs #7 Steelers (or Pats if Steelers lose) #3 Bengals vs #6 Chargers - I favor this matchup because I think the Bills can handle KC at a neutral site but the Bengals and Chargers are a bit more unknown #4 Jaguars vs #5 Ravens Divisional: #1 Chiefs vs #6 Chargers - Chargers beating the Bengals would help us avoid them and the Chargers would get a third shot to beat KC after two very close matches earlier this year #2 Bills vs #5 Ravens - with Lamar probably back for playoffs they should be able to beat the Jags. Bills have played Jackson well historically AFCCG: #2 Bills vs #6 Chargers - home playoff game with Super Bowl on the line in late January Buffalo. I don’t think the Chargers will be up for it. Super Bowl: Bills vs Vikings - let their luck get them to this game so we can avenge ourselves. Super Bowl Champion Bills baby!
