Interesting in-game convo between Shakir and Palmer
somnus00 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand both sides of this. The Bills put up 41 on Baltimore. That's great. No one is mad about that. They got the win. But so often there seemed to be no rhythm on offense. Primarily in the first 3 quarters. Bills had to scratch and crawl for every inch then rely on Josh to be superman on 3rd and long. Meanwhile, the Ravens run well timed/executed screens, Lamar throws to guys schemed open. Brady has done a great job developing a run game. But the passing game needs work. We don't have the best receiving corps in the league. But they're not jags either. Shakir, Palmer, and Moore can get it done, I believe. -
A weaker arm doesn't put enough velocity on the ball to leave time on the clock. Literal split-second later and the Bills lose those 3 points.

If Bass' confidence was shaken before...I can't imagine what this is doing for him. Either way, I hope he gets right. Bass is young with a huge leg.

Quinton Morris was TE3 for a few seasons. Seemed like every year, he would have 4 catches total. But each was always a big clutch play. Here's to Hawes continuing the tradition.
-
You are correct, sir. Not sure why I remembered Strong being the guy that made the stop.
-
I believe he got the stop on that last 3 and out to force the punt. He misses that tackle and the game is over.

Looks like Bosa is still shaking the rust off. But I thought he played well as the game went on.
-
So you bring in the back up to hand it off to Henry. I mean, I'm happy they punted, but it was a dumb decision.
-
I think timing was part of his issue last night, but Bishop's blitzing was horrible. That's something he can learn. He's still inexperienced and he's missed chunks of his first 2 training camps/preseasons.

Not good yet. Still a work in progress. But sufficient if they let Josh be Josh (he made Robert Foster look like an NFL receiver). Brady needs to start developing a passing game. Study Andy Reid and learn to scheme guys open for 7 - 9 yard gains.

9/7/25 Post Game Thread - Bills vs Ravens SNF
somnus00 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dear Joe Brady. You have an all time great at QB. Let him pass the ball and good things will happen. The screen play is a great thing to have in your pocket to keep a defense honest. But one of the best arms in NFL history is on your team. Use it. Regards, Bills Mafia- 801 replies

Wait, so passes in front of the line of scrimmage are allowed in this game? Does Brady know this? -
9/7/25 1st Half Game Thread - Bills vs Ravens SNF

Defense flying around. Looking aggressive. I love seeing that. It's early, but at least they aren't just sitting back and reacting. -
I hear he wants to play for a winner. Money doesn't matter to him.

Gabe Davis signing with the Bills (going to practice squad)

We'd definitely win the PS Superbowl. -
With all the accolades, he really doesn't get the credit he deserves for being extremely smart and coachable.

Shane has future coach written all over him. One of those guys with high football IQ, but doesn't quite have the physical tools. I wish him well.

I can't really say I'm upset about any cuts. But I'll say I'm disappointed that Forrest didn't amount to much. I was kind of hoping he would turn into something here. Also, I thought Green would show enough to be trade bait and get us a late draft pick. Ultimately, we're talking about guys fighting for 3rd string spots.

Joe Marino’s All 22 from Bucs preseason game
somnus00 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really like Marino and I usually agree with his opinions. But I thought his take on Walker was not good. Even with a bad back all season, he was moving around really well, and pushing guys all over the place. Of course, we haven't seen any real games played yet. And Marino may end up being correct. But I'm excited about Walker and expect him to be a good one for us. -
Eric Dickerson Claims Teams Were Told To Not Draft Shedeur Sanders
somnus00 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
The right QB changes the course of an entire organization. Bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars to the team, and NFL. Teams won't turn their backs on that to make a point. 32 teams don't think Sanders projects as a franchise QB. That simple. -
Can he play safety?
-
I heard he dropped the plane tickets. I kid. Great locker room guy. But on the field, I'd rather see Shavers elevated.
