  1. I love all these "scouts" on here who can point out flaws in a QB's game that somehow a hall of fame GM like Polian missed. I guess his 760 yards passing and 6 tds and 0 ints in 2 games against Alabama with all these obvious mechanical flaws that you see must have been luck. We are very lucky to have you here to break down film for us.
  2. Yea, your probably right. The leading passer in the SEC in 2015 and leading again in 2016 until his knee injury. And we need a QB for the future but your probably right, no one would even mention him. Really astute analysis.
  3. Just for arguments sake, I see many here who want Watson at 10 because "look at how good he did against Alabama twice". Those are many of the same people who say Kelly sucks and if his name was something else we wouldn't even mention him. Let's look at his stats versus Alabama and LSU, who have the most NFL defensive players. 2015 At Alabama 18-33 341 yards 3 td 0 int 8 rush 21 yards 1 td H LSU 19-34 280 yards 2 td 0 int 12 rush 81 yards 2 td 2016 H Alabama 26-40 421 yards 3 td 0 int 14 rush 43 yards 0 td At LSU 20-33 218 yards 1 td 2 int 12 rush 56 yards 0 td 3 really good games out of 4. To say that Watson is a top 10 pick and Kelly sucks or has no talent is crazy. Yes, he is an idiot, but if anyone thinks that he doesn't have the potential to be a franchise QB then they haven't really watched him. He has 10 times the arm talent of Watson and is almost as good a runner.
  4. Chad Kelly. Definitely worth a 5th round gamble. He has the chance to be a franchise QB. No other pick that late in the draft has the potential to make that much of an impact. Yes, I know he could go the other way. That's why it's called a gamble.
  5. Should be interesting. It is getting a lot of media play down here. They have a few other good prospects especially the TE Engram and WR Stringfellow. BTW Engram had a better 40 time than Mike Williams, who most have us taking at 10.
  6. Hate to see that happen to anyone. Hopefully it won't affect him for the rest of his life.
  7. I really don't understand the hype around him? He was a 6th round pick for a reason. His senior year was 10 games played with 30 catches for 597 yards and 5 td's. So an average of 3 catches for 59.7 yards a game in the worst defensive conference in the country. TCU plays absolutely nobody and he got 3 catches a game but he will now turn into an NFL superstar? And I just checked, he had 6 catches for 142 yards and a TD against Stephen F. Austin. So against division 1 competition he had 24 catches for 455 yards and 4 td's. And in the conference championship and bowl game against Baylor and Oregon he had a total of 2 catches for 4 yards.
  8. I say in every Chad Kelly thread that while living in Mississippi, I have seen practically every one of his games, even junior college. There will be no in between with Chad Kelly. He will either mature and become a pro bowl QB as that is where his talent level is, or he will be Manziel 2.0 and out of the league in 2 years. But if anyone thinks that no team will take a chance in the late rounds of the draft for that kind of talent then your kidding yourself.
  9. So since you got clowned on your constant Tyrod assessments last year, Darby is going to be your target this year?
  10. In favor. As I point out in most Tyrod threads, it doesn't always look pretty but the bottom line is the offense scores a lot of points with Tyrod. There wasn't anyone that we could have brought in right now that would have scored more than 26.5 points a game.
  11. And we all know that in your mind, yours is the only opinion that counts.
  12. I will admit that I don't think I possess the scouting eye for what LB fits what scheme but Foster looks like a crazy good player to me and I would love for the Bills to get him.
  13. It has nothing to do with the players, it has to do with strategy. Fedora forsakes all defense in order to run up offensive production.
  14. The giant red flag is Larry Fedora's system of all offense and no defense. It's the football version of what Loyola Marymount used to do in college basketball.
  15. It doesn't always look good and yes, it looks downright bad sometimes, however, 7th in scoring at 26 points a game in his starts last year i believe. Who can we bring in to IMPROVE on that then?
  16. I agree with you 100%. Let's move that logic forward and apply it to Tyrod, who when Sammy was out which was quite a bit the past two years, played with one of the worst receiving corps in the NFL in the past 10 years. Yet many, I'm not saying you, crucify him here daily on this board. I guess my point is that picking and choosing what metrics, standards and statistics we use to judge players just to make our own personal opinion about them seem valid is the wrong way to look at it. The constant refrain of "I'm right and if you don't agree then your stupid" on this board ruins the appeal of it to those of us who just want to discuss Bills football because we love the Bills. Sorry to rant.
  17. Deshaun Watson has a top 10 pick at receiver. Did you hold that against him?
  18. What was Jim Kelly coming out of college? Chad Kelly is a knucklehead and immature. That being said I have seen almost every college game that he played. He is by far the best NFL ready passer in the draft and it's not even close. He's definitely a boom or bust pick. If he gets his head on straight he has immense talent. But that's a big if.
  19. I say it in every Tyrod thread. It isn't always pretty but we score a lot of points and very rarely turn the ball over. We could do a lot worse.
  20. But he couldn't have made the Pro Bowl, MAJBobby told me 146,328 times this year that he sucks.
  21. I'm sure this has been discussed but I missed it. When do they have to decide on Tyrods option by?
  22. I've seen a lot of him here in Mississippi. He went to East Mississippi Community College after getting booted out of Clemson and before Ole Miss. You like to think he will mature after each incident but he never seems to. That being said, if he gets his head on straight and that's a big if, he has all the tools. I think he will be 10 times the pro QB that Deshaun Watson, who many are yelling for at #10, ever will be.
