How does it free up cap space? If you let Tyrod go, you have to pay somebody to play qb. Unless you think Cardale is ready, which most people don't. We get it that you hate Tyrod for some unknown reason and I agree that the offense isn't pretty sometimes but the bottom line is it's one of the highest scoring offenses in the league. It's not our biggest problem by far.
Yea, too bad. They both are good, young qbs. Hopefully they will both be back strong next year. Sucks that the patriots will now basically get a bye to the super bowl
What was strange to me was that after watching football for so many years, I'm 49, that call is ALWAYS made. Both of them, when the db doesn't turn around to play the ball and makes contact with the wr? It's ALWAYS pi, except today.
I keep asking the same question and the only answer is "he's well respected around the league". If he was so well respected then you expect someone who interviewed him to hire him as head coach or offensive coordinator but none did. I'll say it again, he's a 15 year rb coach who never got promoted until we fired our on this year. I would think twice about hiring him.
This is the worst tackling defense that I have ever seen. I don't understand how Rex was so aggressive with the Ravens and Jets but so passive here. No blitzes ever and soft coverage constantly.
So your just parroting what you hear on tv? You have no idea why he's held in such high regard? I'm just skeptical that teams say he was such a great interview yet none hired him to be a head coach or offensive coordinator? Seems strange to me.
You keep saying that he's held in "high regard" around the league? He's been a rb coach since 2000 and never been promoted until earlier this year. Explain why he is held in such high regard?
Carpenter has had a bad year and I think we need a new kicker next year. That being said, wishing diseases on him and calling his wife names is something that you shouldn't do.
I don't understand all the hype for Lynn. He has been with Rex for a long time now as a rb coach. Why is he all of a sudden a "hot name" to be a head coach. What track record of success does he have? His playcalling in ot killed the momentum that the offense had. I don't believe that he has a great feel for the game.
Right after the draft I watched the highlight tape of Shaq. He hustled on every play but he was the last lineman to move, offensive or defensive, on EVERY play.
I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I wrote in another thread that he never got promoted in 15 years as a RB coach until this year? that doesn't seem like an up and coming sought after coach.
It's not just the two years with the Bills. The last four with the Jets combined with the two in Buffalo make him look below average for the past six years. And if he stays we will probably be worse next year than we are this year.
Why? He has been a coach since 2000, never getting higher than running backs coach. Well until earlier this year. I don't see why he's seen as some up and coming coach?
Would someone with scouting knowledge let me know the pro potential of Nick Mullens of Southern Miss. He's thrown for over 11,000 yards and 85 td's. I've watched him really progress the last 4 years. He really took off last year under Todd Monken who left to become Tampa Bay's OC. Mullins is 6"1' and 200 and can run a little. Not a huge arm but extremely accurate. I think he could be a good pro but I might be a homer.
I definitely think we need to address the QB situation as Tyrod isn't the long term franchise QB we need but y'all can't blame him for EVERYTHING.
The defense gives up another 3rd and 15.
MAJBobby: "well Tyrod should have chewed up more clock"
Carpenter misses another extra point.
MAJBobby: "well Tyrod must have been the holder on that play"
Another WR gets hurt
MAJ Bobby: "Tyrod led him into a big hit"
Team bus gets a flat on the way to the stadium
MAJBobby: "it was Tyrod's job to air up the tires"
Defense gives up a 5 play 90 yard drive right after we score
MAJBobby: "Tyrod should have kept them off the field better"
Then either you don't watch the news or know how to work Google.
