  1. Kirby you have us drafting Rueben Foster which would be awesome. He was by far the best player on the field the other night.
  2. Our LT, LG and C are good but all are getting up there in age. I hope we start to replenish the talent there. Build a team from the lines out. Dallas is a good example.
  3. Williams would be a great pick and a need for us at 10.
  4. So 76 td's and 30 int's leaves him +46. Tajh Boyd had 70 td's and 24 int's his last 2 years, also +46. It's the system. Bubble screens and deep lobs to taller wr's.
  5. So 30 interceptions in his last 27 college games, many of which were against weak competition, doesn't send up any red flags? Your right, he can "sling it". He just slings it to the wrong team more than once a game.
  6. "I've really struggled to grade Watson for the next level. He has had some issues with accuracy, decision making and turnovers. However, none of those issues showed up tonight. There's something to be said for guys that rise to the occasion and play their best in the most important games. He's always done just that, and he did it one more time tonight. We are several months away from the NFL draft, which Watson intends to enter, but this game won't soon be forgotten by NFL evaluators". Ok. What about Daniel Jeremiah from NFL.com? Or is he an "idiot" also because he doesn't agree with you?
  7. Watson may end up being decent but I certainly wouldn't trade up for him. He is a turnover machine, 17 interceptions this year.
  8. So you have surveyed the "vast majority" of the football community to know how they feel? And constantly calling anyone who has a different opinion on a player than you an "idiot", kind of makes you look like, you know, and idiot.
  9. That's why you look at his complete body of work. That's why I included the fact that he threw 17 picks this year. Tajh Boyd is Clemson's all time leading passer by throwing bubble screens to Sammy and letting him run. Did that translate into NFL success? My point is that most of his yards are short passes where the WR"s ran or a lob to a taller WR. That does not necessarily translate to NFL success. But I'm sure you guys are all correct. Let's trade a one read, athletic QB who doesn't turn the ball over for one who does.
  10. Because others who have excelled in the "big game" are Jamarcus Russell, Matt Leinart and Vince Young. Watson threw 17 picks this year against a not great schedule.
  11. Yea, your probably right. I should only read things that fit my narrative.
  12. Deshaun Watson*, QB, Clemson Height: 6-2. Weight: 205. Projected 40 Time: 4.60. Projected Round (2017): 1-4. 1/9/17: I surveyed teams around the league to see where their initial draft grades were for Watson. Two playoff teams told me they had third-round grades on Watson. One said it was on the low end as a third- to fourth-rounder. Another playoff team told Walt that they had a third-round grade on Watson. Two other teams said they had second-round grades on Watson. Another team thought that Watson still could be a late first-round quarterback, similar to Teddy Bridgewater, because of the dire need at the position across the NFL. In this draft analyst's opinion, I would grade Watson as a third-round pick for the 2017 NFL Draft. Watson has been off with his accuracy this year, displaying poor ball placement, especially when going downfield. He has missed a lot of potential touchdowns as a result. Watson's performance against Louisville confirmed the accuracy and ball-placement problems we've seen all season. He hasn't dominated, and his play is not that of a top quarterback prospect. All of this illustrates that Watson still has room for improvement with his field vision, ball placement, and accuracy. He did finish the regular season playing better, but that doesn't make up for the struggles in the first two-thirds of the season. Also, Watson is undersized compared to your average NFL starting quarterback. On top of that, he plays in a college spread offense that doesn't correlate well to the NFL. Thus, he's going to need to learn working under center, operating the huddle, footwork, and not being a running quarterback. There is no doubt that Watson has great intangibles as a hard worker with good character off the field and leadership in the locker room. So far in 2016, Watson has completed 67 percent of his passes for 4,173 yards with 38 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. He has eight rushing touchdowns as well. 7/29/16: Watson played really well to lead Clemson to the National Championship game, and in that title tilt, he threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns against an Alabama defense that featured tons of future NFL talent. Watson completed 68 percent of his passes in 2015 for 4,104 yards with 35 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. On the ground, he averaged 5.3 yards per carry for 1,105 yards with 12 scores. Watson has a decent arm, excellent athleticism, and can show some superb accuracy. However, he is undersized and doesn't play in a pro-style offense. His numbers are vastly inflated by his college offense. Operating under center will be one thing for him to learn. Watson also has to improve his field vision. He flashes good field vision to work through his progressions on some plays, but he is inconsistent and he can also look to run too soon. Watson won't be able to run as much in the NFL and he needs to get faster at working through his progressions. His pocket-passing process has to get quicker as well. This is from WalterFootball.com.
  13. He's a projected 3-4 round pick for a reason. His completions were 2 yard bubble screens that the receiver ran for a lot of yards or lobs to a tall receiver who outjumped the defender. He's certainly not as athletic as our qb now.
  14. Dude you are such a phony. You disappeared all game while Watson was sucking then you reappear when they win. thats why your the joke of this board.
  15. I just checked the stats. Yes Watson is a gunslinger. He's thrown 17 picks this year. Is that what we want?
  16. So we should ignore the three deep balls that were all horribly overthrown?
  17. Because he threw a 2 yard pass that the receiver ran for 50?
  18. He was all year. He rolled up big numbers against bad teams. I argued all year with people like MAJBobby on here that Tyrod isn't always pretty but we could be doing a lot worse. He was advocating that we trade this years first pick and next years first to move up and draft Watson. That would be a huge mistake.
  19. Nick Mullins QB Southern Miss. 12,000 yards 87 Tds.
  20. Not true. Passing yards is the only stat that matters. More than points, wins, anything. Just ask MAJBobby and a few others.
  21. YOLO, your the Ohio guy. What do you think about Tressel as a candidate? I always thought he might make a good NFL coach.
  22. Lets just be honest about Cardale. He has about a .001 percent chance of becoming a good NFL QB. Did anyone see Ohio State Saturday? He lost the position to that guy. He was third string for a reason. Yes, he did come in and light it up for 3 games. The next year when he was the starter, awful.
  23. I disagree. The Jets seemed to play hard for their coach who many have said may be on the hot seat. I think it would be a mistake to hire Lynn. I also think many of us have underestimated Tyrod's game and ball security. I know that it doesn't always look pretty but it's effective, we score a lot of points with him at QB.
  24. Actually Mike and Mike did about 10 minutes the other morning on the Bills and said pretty much the same things. Trey Wingo was ripping them for how badly Whaley looked leaving Lynn to answer the questions about Tyrod not playing when it wasn't his decision.
