I was in the other room earlier and overheard something they were saying about teams’ record when scoring 30 points in a game… Cant remember what it was exactly as I wasn’t in direct earshot of the TV but it alluded to what you say; their defense letting the offense down in a major way.

Im not disputing that. It’s just the moment he disengages it doesn’t seem like 100% there. Like @warcodered said, he stops Mahomes there if he runs but you never know what’s happening. That is a sound assessment as the stats, even though there’s been coaching changes, allude to some decline. Those first few years he looked like he was going to right there with Pat/Josh/Lamar for top guy in the AFC or League. Steps backward since. Might be right there yolo.

That’s a fair point, he probably does make a play if Mahomes doesn’t throw the ball. However, the minute he disengages he’s just jogging along. Playing that dude you have to give 100% or as close to the ability that you have left at the time. Same when you’re against any great QB. He knows this. That’s why I highlighted the last play too. Very similar in what’s unfolding but maximum effort on the 4th down in comparison to the 2nd.
