  1. That's some real home town advantage for Jacksonville. I'll have to jump over to FinHeaven to see how Dolphin fans are taking this news this morning.
  2. Only thing that comes to mind for me is hiring Spags as HC just so KC doesn't have him anymore. Addition by subtraction from our arch rival.
  3. Might not happen immediately this season but I badly want #0 to be a star. His personality is off the charts good. And don't count out #10 when he gets the ball in his hands he finds a way to make good things happen. I expect that to continue. The only question is can the Bills continue to get the ball into his hands consistently with an increased work load.
  4. 345+ yards passing from Allen today and that's just to four receivers. So you have Allen getting close to 400 yards passing. How is Arizona's defense? If they are bad all around I would expect the Bills to try and run the ball enough that Allen doesn't go over 315 through the air.
  5. Wasn't he back to practice like a week ago? Feel like if the toe were event remotely still an issue he wouldn't have been practicing all week.
  6. Beane is looking for that big free agent hit at the WR position. He hasn't hit since Brown and Beasley in 2019. Samuel has a lot of promise similar to Sanders and Crowder when they came to Buffalo. Neither of those guys really lived up to expectations. I hope Samuel at least outperforms each of them in terms of ability and availability. That would be a monster season. I would settle for like 60- 70 all purpose yards per game.
  7. Come on Chaos. You are reaching for straws here. And I usually agree with most of your posts. When someone says second best record they are not talking post season. That's been the common understanding for as long as I can remember.
  8. The other Josh Allen stat I love is the consecutive seasons with 40+ TD's. Only two players in NFL history have had two such consecutive seasons, Breed and Allen. Only Allen has done it for 4 consecutive seasons. In all four of those seasons he has hit 40+ TD's in 16 games or less. He's never needed the 17th game to reach the mark. Practically speaking, Josh is on pace to be the all-time TD leader. Mahomes is not.
  9. There is a difference between toughness and heart. Herbert is plenty tough.
  10. Who cares. They can do whatever they want. Team would obviously win either way in that scenario.
  11. Not wading through 15 pages of posts. What this comes down to is evaluation. Way too early to grade the evaluation on either side. As long as Coleman hits as a elite player then Beane can't lose. I don' care about the actual trade. But if Worthy is a plus player for the Chiefs and Coleman never becomes one for the Bills, then that is a big fail by Beane and another failed evaluation.
  12. That game is Thanksgiving night in Green Bay. As long as it is anything but and ACL, I'd expect Love back. Furthermore, if they can find a competent vet to fill in (if Love is out long term) I still like the Packers chances at home in late November against Miami.
  13. Mahomes deserved his. We all know Jackson did not last year. So yeah, that one guy was at least right last year. Jackson only won it because the Ravens defense beat the hell out of Brock Purdy and the 49ers offense in a late season game. If the 49ers win that game, it's probably CMC or Purdy winning the MVP. As the season actually went I think Allen definitely should have been MVP.
  14. Of course. But their are degrees of mistakes. An INT is almost always unforgiveable unless it's on a Hail Mary, 4th down or doinks right off the receiver. Fumbles not as bad because right off the get go you have a 50/50 chance of recovering vs. 100% chance of losing the ball on an INT.
  15. A couple of things. Are we certain Khalil is going to be the primary receiving target? Obviously, Kincaid has a very good chance to be that guy. But even outside of Kincaid, I could see Coleman being that guy as well. But I think a more likely scenario is that we see Kincaid, Khalil and Coleman all between 90 - 120 targets on the season. A fairly tight grouping for 1 -3 top target getters. If this is the case I think it takes more pressure off of Khalil as the primary target receiver even if he does end up leading the team in targets. Second, Beasley rightfully earned a 2nd team all-pro selection for his 967 yard season in 2020 and hitting that magic number of 65 ypg. He was a crucial cog in the Bills success offensively that season with a 68% success rater per PFR's success metric. Good for 7th highest success rate in the league that year and higher than Diggs 65%. Khalil had a 73% success rate last year, qualifying as the number one success rate out of all pass catchers. My hope is that the Bills have three players average in the ball park of 65 ypg receiving this year. Coleman, Shakir and Kincaid. With Cook and Davis combining for another 45 ypg. That puts Allen at 240 ypg passing. 4,080 yards on the season. Samuel is the wild card for me. If he stays healthy and the Bills feature him we could be looking at 4 players in the 65 ypg range with Coleman probably being the lowest average of the four.
  16. LOL. Right? That's how I will start referring to Mahomes. Top 5 QB.
  17. Much more than any of the games featuring Power 5 conference schools facing non power 5 schools. Were there not more of those match ups this past weekend than the ones you sighted? And just a quick glance of the scoreboards, those games ended with an average score of about 60 -3.
  18. More teams in the league than there were in 1993 and with 18 games vs. just 16 back then will we really have watered down games? Biggest reason of all to add two bye weeks is to enable Thursday Night football to continue with every team having at least a minnie by going into a Thursday Night game. That is long over due IMO.
  19. We don't even know what he is being accused of? "Rice has since been charged with one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving injury." We are extremely lucky nobody was killed or badly hurt. He's a miracle from being Henry Ruggs. The league office needs to be better than this. Or just get rid of any non football related suspensions all together.
  20. Okay 90%. I feel it is a very strong likely outcome. It has been tossed out there quite a bit as an option. I'm also not 100% convinced the league wants the Super Bowl on President's Day weekend. So if that is the case, we are looking at starting the season after Labor Day weekend and then having two bye weeks so as to have the Super Bowl after President's Day weekend. Why would two bye weeks not go well? I can't imagine an uprising against two bye weeks today.
  21. Player safety angle. league is trying to project the image of making the game safer. I think adding a second bye week helps project that image. It's also a small cash cow as it means one more week of primetime games for the league to sell. Makes sense from all angles.
  22. Tremendous? Way too many 49 - 7 games in College football. They need to totally revamp the scheduling. Power 5 schools or whatever they are called these days should only ever be playing other power 5 schools.
  23. I think we might. The long game for the commissioner and the owners is an 18 game regular season schedule with two bye weeks. Season starts on Labor Day weekend and Super Bowl on President's Day weekend. They 100% have to add an extra bye week IMO if they go 18 games. That means if they want a Presidents weekend Super Bowl the season has to start Labor Day weekend.
  24. He's more than that though I think. Beasley found open spots. Shakir has serious YAC ability based on what we saw out of him last year.
