The Jets came down to earth this week. But the Jets defense that we faced Monday played one of the most flawless games I've seen on film. They were beyond juiced even after the injury. Perfect positioning and instincts. And I still thought the offense ran well save for a drunk QB. The Raiders aren't GOOD on defense but they are much closer to representing the AVERAGE defense the Bills will see this year than that Jets defense was that night. This bodes well for the bills.

Meanwhile over in Bengal land, there is weeping and gnashing of teeth

Four of Zac Taylor's five seasons as coach of the Bengals have started 0-2 -
I would say that a round six stud at the same position as the round one bust last year is what softens that blow

Last year, Miami beat Buffalo in week 3 to go 3-0 and had a crazy 21 point 4th quarter comeback against the Ravens, and their offense was on fire for another month and a half after that point between Tua injuries. Buffalo lost their first two divisional games. Buffalo still won the division and had a 3 game cushion Lot of football to play

Come on Mac.

I don't understand how miami only has 17 points

It was 5x easier catching up on this board tonight than after the last game, based on volume of posts to read. Very strange!

He usually doesn't have to. When he does, it's not that he becomes bad, but he becomes easier to stop than some QBs who have to go through them. That's definitely the key to slowing these guys down. Disrupt their timing and make him second guess, or take away entirely, his first read. The Dolphins are scary and can light you up. But we can still beat them even if they are firing on all cylinders on offense - we did last December. But they're a good team that will be a tough challenge in the AFC

Quick pressure on Tua makes him do wacky things sometimes too. Definitely possible to bait him into turnovers.

The Bills have won a lot of games like this since September of 2020. We cannot take this for granted - my entire childhood was spent wondering what it would be like to look like this even once per year

Tua is a very good QB but when things go wrong, there might not be a QB that looks more awkward/embarrassing.

Stat to ponder: Josh Allen: 3 rushes for 7 yards.

If you look at his career touches (ie number of times he's been tackled), he practically is 5 years younger! -

It is EXACTLY what Mahomes looked like all year last year. -
Gabe shines, the O-line dominates, and Cook adds another dimension

I agree with you the way the rules are written, but it is an infuriating outcome that poorly-thrown balls into good coverage can cause 40 yard penalties just because the DB is doing his job to keep up with the WR who now has to stop. You are basically punishing a guy for playing good man coverage -
For two years now I grab Commanders players that people aren't interested in drafting in fantasy, and they reward me. McLaurin, Robinson, Dotson, great players. If Howell can figure it out they can be scary. They have a history of good O-Line play too.

Even in NY Allen's splits were much better when under center. It's a thing, starting in shotgun gives him a wonky rhythm on the play sometimes

I don't mind whether or not someone has a positive or negative take on any aspect of the bills. But a lot of people who never have anything good to say, and who are always matter-of-fact about how correct they are, told me that they were starting Jacobs in fantasy because we were in for a long day against him. They will not acknowledge this and will continue to self-assuredly make sure we all know that we are doomed until we blow up the franchise

Bills fans shriek for a more aggressive defense, and then when the classic aggression beaters beat them, shriek just the same

He's just not that good and Benford is. -
12 Personnel--How much will it be used today and going forward?

Since apparently the raiders also love dropping everyone deep we should use it a lot. -
Statistically, the line gave allen time and a lack of pressures relative to the rest of the NFL this weekend. It was also against what will probably the best, or second best, defense in the league. Burrow does just fine without a line. Every aspect of the team was better than Josh Allen on Monday. I don't expect it to happen again, but that's what happened

Dude's just collecting his money. He could definitely give this game a boost of energy it doesn't have
