certainly trading some of the vets during or before the draft is needed...most of these guys couldn't start for any other team (well except for the browns and niners)..we won't get anything but maybe if you stockpile enough 6s and 7s one can get lucky and hit on one or two players...team needs a total revamp..looks like a three year project going forward

The problem is not the saying itself (as you pointed out its pretty commonly used in a number of workplaces).... its the attitude that somehow if you own or run a company the employees are nothing more than chattel to do as you beckon....from a management perspective that's a horrible way to run a company (how many of you would like your bosses to treat you like a piece of furniture?) I've had several bosses like that and thank god I have a unique skill set and could move on ... on a side and maybe irrelevant note one of the bosses was black and a former NFL football player (marginal - Dallas Cowboy LB back when they had taxi squads which he was on)... he was a guy with some deep seated resentment issues toward highly technical, smart white guys - he himself was very smart but in a different way-HR guy so not swift in Physics, etc but he really could maneuver through the political landmines of a University environment...I don't resent his bias (only the wasting of two years of my life working for him) and actually feel sorry for how his prejudices caused him to create a toxic work environment for his employees

I am of the school you first need a great QB but baring that, one wins in the trenches so its OL and DL first...absolutely against a RB in the first two rounds..unless of course the next OJ (sans sharp edged weapons) is available when you pick Do NT/DE, OT with first two picks, then in second go for a WR, LB, DB ( from the BPA list in the 2nd round)

6-10...no good option at QB and the OL is at best mediocre..the D will keep a lot of games close. Really hoping that in the last four games of the year they show a team in progress so 2018 will look promising

If the players that came back in the trade were not at the tail end of their contracts I would agree the trades were reasonable given the Bill's current situation as a perennial 500 team. But both those players will be gone at the end of the season and all the trades will show is a 2nd and 3rd both of whom will now be used to draft replacements for Watkins and Darby. Having said all that if the front office begins to dump more veterans in an effort to totally re-stock then at least that's a direction taking them out of their current state of mediocrity. Its the lack of a total strategic plan which is bothersome. I can't wait to proven wrong and see Beane/McDermott take the Bills to the playoffs next year.
