  1. I tend to agree. Many receivers are slow too develop without looking downright horrific in their rookie season. It’s difficult for me to have a positive perception of someone who looked as bad as Zay in his rookie season. Hopefully I’m wrong, and Zay becomes a reliable receiver for years to come. It’s just not my expectation as this point. Let’s hope he doesn’t. He ran a far more precise route without them. Compare the “fight for Jesus route” with the Carolina drop route. On one route he’s clumsily tripping over his feet, while he runs like a fine tuned athlete on the other.
  2. The Pegula’s PR relationship with the fans is in fine shape as evidenced by the responses on this topic. I highly doubt that they are concerned about any BN writer hurting them. The BN may very well have a poor relationship with ownership, but ownership gets to choose how much access they have to the team. Journalists can criticize the Pegula’s at their own risk. Everything that you stated is one hundred percent correct. I’m just an old man at heart who doesn’t ever understand the point of Twitter insults/battles.
  3. Technically all the words we use in the English language are cliches ? . I’m just tired of the trendiness of being thin skinned. Why should they care what some news reporter in Buffalo has to say? Unfortunately, overly caring what everyone has to say is in vogue. I’m not criticizing the Pegula family, but rather noticing a trend in society as a whole that I don’t understand. Harrington’s response is equally unproductive and unnecessary.
  4. Meh. Journalists writing stupid stuff, and people getting grumpy about it on Twitter has become far too cliche.
  5. Nah, I don’t see his lunchbox or high motor in that picture.
  6. I vaguely remember that game. I was somewhat impressed by McCarron minus the turnovers. The rest of the team falling apart against the Steelers was something that I had forgotten. Sounds like typical Bengals stuff.
  7. Thanks, I had forgotten that play. I just remembered a McCarron fumble with a pick or two as well.
  8. Did the Bengals fumble away that game, or did AJ McCarron?
  9. Understandable. Admittedly, I’m just really down on Zay. I know that receivers can take a while to develop, so I haven’t given up on him. I just hope that my gut feeling about him is wrong. I still believe that Zay is a slot receiver at best. Unfortunately, I think that this coaching staff wants to use him on the outside too often.
  10. Fair enough, I made a mistake in claiming that McBeane crossed both Mayfield and Rosen off their draft board. With that said, the rumor that they did so was out there. Considering the way this regime has built their team, excluding those guys from their draft board wouldn’t surprise me in the least. I don’t think this a manner of what Dez wants. Dez has actually elicited very little interest. I’d be shocked if we had any interest in Dez. I doubt that whether or not he wants to come here will ever become a factor.
  11. I know that I’m dumb, but I’m having difficulty interpreting this. So you’re saying that if Dez doesn’t come here, it’s because we don’t give him an offer? That would be very true.
  12. Didn’t realize it was just a rumor (we will likely never know), but there are clear character considerations that have obviously been taken since the duo arrived. You don’t trade away guys like Sammy and Dareus, and proceed to pick up a nutcase like Dez. It isn’t happening, regardless of the fact that he isn’t a franchise QB.
  13. Hard to believe this to be true when McBeane didn’t even have Rosen or Mayfield on their draft board. It’s not happening.
  14. Yep, and they even do a better job of understanding consent than Ben.
  15. Nothing to see here, if you followed the Steelers you’d know that Big Ben frequently says dumb stuff publicly.
  16. Exactly, this is what I can’t understand from these front office guys. There are plenty of pretentious NFL superstars. Shady for example is a complete tool imo.
  17. I know plenty of these Bills Mafia clowns, don’t worry, their upper middle class parents are footing those bills. Their moms probably even send them some chicken noodle soup down to the basement while they recover.
  18. Sounds like a joke, but quite frankly that wouldn’t shock me.
  19. Government spends billions protecting people from themselves. Another such waste wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
  20. Exactly, I don’t understand people saying that the #metoo movement will destroy cheerleading. There is nothing inherently wrong with cheerleading itself. It’s the creeepy dudes who take things way too far. To say that the #metoo movement must destroy cheerleading is saying that harassment and cheerleading must go hand in hand. The mere existence of cheerleaders doesn’t mean that guys are forced to take advantage of them.
  21. My thoughts exactly. I really enjoy Romo, but he is articulate and intelligent. Witten doesn’t seem as bright, and would probably be just another meathead announcer.
  22. No, but would Jonathan Kraft be considered for any position outside of New England? Welcome to big time business.
