  1. Yeah, I’m not sure if I could have overlooked his character concerns when drafting him. I wouldn’t have touched Winston with a ten foot pole.
  2. I have mixed feelings about this one. I’d really like to attend a Monday night game, as it’d be an awesome experience. I’m also hesitant to pay a premium price to attend a Pats game. I’ve had far too many negative Pats game experiences. On the flip side, if I don’t attend and the Bills win, I’ll be really bummed.
  3. Absolutely, that’s why I was relieved it happened to a player without a very bright future. It was still wrong, but it would have terrible to end a promising player’s season. With that said, regardless of player, the Rams should take responsibility.
  4. I’ll go with Miller. I’m not certain that Zay can be an option. The word comeback insinuates the idea that you were actually good at a previous time. Same applies to Lawson, Washington, Davis, and Peterman.
  5. This is where I’m at. Running back is the one position where I couldn’t care less about veteran leadership. I’d rather roll the dice on a young guy as backup for that position. Very few veteran backs have enough left in the tank to be major contributors, while younger backups can turn into solid starters. My only exception to this rule is the presence of great veteran starting backs still at the top of their game (ex. Shady).
  6. Very hopeful for the future, but also hoping that this season is at least tolerable.
  7. I seems that being classy is an antiquated concept, and I say this as a relatively younger person myself.
  8. Are you referring to the loss with the Jets that kept Fitz out of the playoffs? If so, he threw three picks in the final eleven minutes. Classic Fitz.
  9. Fair enough, but I disagree and I’m not a TT fan. TT often failed to make plays that could win games, but he didn’t give away games. Fitz makes plays that lose games which should already be won.
  10. I agree with most here, but TT and Fitz are not the same player. TT isn’t a guy who carries his team to victory, but Fitz is a guy who can single handily lose a game. TT can beat mediocre teams, and carry his team to 8-8 and 9-7 seasons when the cards line up. Fitz will always do something to lose, no matter the circumstances. There’s a reason Fitz has never seen a playoff game. Neither are franchise QB’s, but hardly the same player imo.
  11. Fair enough, I wasn’t aware that he is quite close to that mark.
  12. Exactly my point. I’m not convinced that a couple more years of those stats are going to get him in the Hall. McCoy is a special player, but he’d be putting up monster numbers elsewhere. McCoy’s production last season was nothing short of incredible, considering what surrounded him. Unfortunately, I think that Hall voters might want to see bigger numbers. He isn’t going to rush for much over 1K in Buffalo.
  13. Never intended it to be sanctimonious. I genuinely don’t understand why people care about this trash. I’ve been looking to learn for many years as to why TBD is so fascinated with Graham and Sully.
  14. Not weird at all. I just happen to read most posts on this forum, and I was genuinely interested in why people are so intrigued by this.
  15. Who cares about any of this? Apparently most of you do, but garbage like this does very little to elicit any thoughts from me. Biscuit has been retired for years, and Timmy works in a dying field.
  16. Yep, seems like the younger generation of players don’t understand this concept. BB has always been BB, but we haven’t heard many complaints until recently. They are compensated nicely for their time in New England, and are hired more or less as temp workers. This is the way pro sports work as a whole. Only the superstars stick around for prolonged periods of time. It’s just more blatantly obvious in NE.
  17. Very true. My only worry is being THE guy with the worst receiver group in the league, a below average offensive line, and an inexperienced QB. Opposing defensive coordinators will load the box against this Bills team. There is no way you can allow Shady to beat you, as he is the Bills only weapon. It doesn’t seem like a recipe for big numbers. It’s tough to imagine Shady averaging more than 4 ypg this season imo. I hope that you’re correct because he will definitely be given plenty of opportunities. I wish I were more confident that it will translate to big numbers. Staying healthy will also be a big challenge for a back his age carrying a huge workload.
  18. It’s going to be really difficult/impossible for him to put up the necessary numbers with this team imo.
  19. It’s not that tough to remember the score/down imo. Typically, the lack of this understanding is the root of most situational awareness blunders.
  20. They already are, the league just tries to make it look good. A truly heavy handed steroid policy does nothing to benefit the league, and they know it.
  21. I agree with points #2 and 3 wholeheartedly. Your first point is the one I think McD needs to guard against in the future. He is a defensive minded coach, but there are times that call for aggressiveness on offense. The Pats would be Super Bowl champs if Doug Pedersen wasn’t ultra aggressive. The 2017 version of McD was handcuffed by a lack of offensive talent. The 2018 edition looks much the same. However, if Allen develops into a franchise QB, McD will be afforded more opportunities to coach aggressively. McD’s 2017 coaching job was absolutely brilliant, but passive coaching can prevent teams from reaching the next level. Just ask Andy Reid or Marty Schottenheimer (ultra conservative coaches) how their playoff careers turned out. I trust that McDermott will make the proper adjustments if/when Allen becomes a franchise QB, but they will need to be made to take the next step.
  22. When I first read the title I thought “no, but it could get him suspended”.
