  1. ? nice, but I think Juan wants to replace Julio.
  2. I hear you, it’s certainly a very slippery slope. I’m not a fan of the idea of gambling much myself, but there are many ways to destroy ones life. Alcohol and cigarettes rank high on that list, but I don’t see anyone advocating the abolition of either. Gambling will occur regardless of the legality, we might as well collect the tax benefits. You can legislate all you want, but you can’t prevent people from flushing their life down the drain. I guarantee that more families will be torn apart by infidelity than gambling. When do we attach jail time to marital infidelity?
  3. I don’t see how this has much to do with contemporary society imo. Gambling has been popular since early civilization. It’s simply the wise choice to reap the tax benefits, as opposed to pretending that it doesn’t exist. Our society often likes to pretend that these sort of things don’t exist. That’s a bigger than anything imo. Fwiw, this is coming for someone with little to no interest in gambling.
  4. Right on. NY State without NYC would have economic indicators in line with states like West Virginia and Mississippi. The “separatists” would be sorry if they got what they wish for.
  5. You’d probably hide that fact regardless of what team you’re on.
  6. Why do I not understand what this means? PS took me a minute. I get it now, you were referring to the name Springsteen ? . I understand that, but Peterman never sounded that way to me. Maybe it’s because growing up I knew quite a few people with that name.
  7. Allowing Leodis McKelvin to return kicks. The fumble game occurred in 2009, yet he was given the chance to fumble away a KC game in 2014.
  8. If “objectification” is cited as a cause for the decline of pro cheerleading, it is nothing more than a convenient excuse. Social change rarely occurs until the powers that be determine the financial consequences imo. In this case, social progress would be a front for protecting the wallet.
  9. Great post. You’re looking at this issue from a logical standpoint based on what really matters, money. This is the real reason the Jills don’t exist, and it’s the reason we won’t be seeing them return any time soon.
  10. Exactly. At one point do we outlaw actors who take their shirts off for female audiences to leer at? What about all the male musicians who attract female audiences based almost solely on appearance? Of course it will never get to that point, because there is a different agenda at play. For the sake of equality this should be what occurs however. My point is that this is all ridiculous. Pop culture lynch mobs should never be created to prevent people from “objectifying” themselves. If society gets to the point where women themselves choose to no longer be cheerleaders, the argument would be completely different.
  11. If you’re worried about “the children”, you wouldn’t bring them to a Bills game.
  12. This is where politics become hilarious. It all becomes a vicious cycle. This movement reminds me of how one can become so conservative that they become liberal, and vice versa. If society demands that all “objectification” ends through changing our culture, aren’t we potentially taking away some freedom of women?
  13. That’s exactly why the league should just leave it in NY. Leave it in NY, that way you don’t remind fans that the commish is very unpopular in every NFL city. Crappy infrastructure and violent crime never stopped a city from hosting a big event. ?.
  14. You’d need to foot the bill to have model/dancers cheer for a new Jills squad. The reality is that models/dancers aren’t going to donate their services for free. The Cowgirls have a prestige that is second to none. The Jills squad consisted of women who just wanted to have a fun experience. After all, isn’t that what life is all about? With that said, this is non-sorry. The Jills are mentioned more often than high level business meetings on TBD. They aren’t coming back, and there isn’t much more to be said imo.
  15. This is generally the part where I say that I don’t care for most rap music. However, with Beasley being a Texas guy playing for the Cowboys, I’m really happy this isn’t a country record. Considering the joke that is modern pop country, he’d probably fly right up to the top of the country charts. This would only further cement the popularity of the Cowboys. So I’m thankful for that.
  16. Exactly. Being drafted highly establishes a player’s reputation. Those with soild reputations will be given more chances to succeed. Life generally works this way, even outside of football. Every player does not enter the league on equal ground. Teams want every player to be successful, and everyone is given that chance. However, not everyone is allowed the same amount of time to prove themselves. Sam Bradford certainly wouldn’t continue to be signed as a starting QB, if he weren’t a first overall draft pick.
  17. Great idea, but sadly Nashville would probably rather throw some male model with a guitar (current country singer) on the tv screen. Willie lives in Texas, he’s far too cool for the current Nashville scene. I’m hoping they don’t choose Nashville, just so I don’t have to hear from crap contemporary country singers on the telecast.
  18. True, not very bright of Bortles whatsoever. He must think he’s the only guy in the world who’d take money he hasn’t earned.
  19. I just thought of something. Forget the facts, why do any of us want anything less than Leavenworth for a former Pat?
  20. Nothing to see here. It’s all judgements that none of us can make. Just because he was deemed innocent doesn’t mean he’s not guilty, just as being judged guilty in court doesn’t always mean one is actually guilty. This stuff is never as black and white as many want to believe. It is what is, time to move along. We’ll never know what actually happened. You can’t destroy someone from something they might have done. I’m also not naive enough to say that he didn’t do it because he didn’t go to jail.
  21. He’ll join that illustrious list of former Bills who became all-pros elsewhere.
  22. So simply cheating on the old lady isn’t destructive to the family?
  23. Too bad it’s on film, otherwise no one was there to see it.
