It could be worse. I had a buddy who went to UGA and went back to Athens, GA to be in his college roommates wedding. His buddy got a DUI driving a few blocks from the reception back to the hotel. Great way to start a marriage!

I had an encounter with Wild Turkey on my 19th BDay. A “friend” tried to buy me 19 shots of Wild Turkey. Needless to say, it was not pretty and it did not end well. I no longer drink any brown liquor. The only liquor I’ll generally have is an occasional margarita on the rocks with salt. I used to be a beer guy, but transitioned to wine years ago. I’m boring, but hoping for some points for consistency.

I’m Irish, but Irish cuisine is not my thing. We had steak and potatoes almost every night growing up (except Friday Fish Fries, of course - Catholic too) and will generally avoid potatoes, even eating around them in chowders. I also have red meat rarely, almost always getting seafood when we go out. Having said that, @flaz mentioned prime rib in the BDay thread, and now I’m researching how to satisfy this intense craving! It’s like Pavlov just rang the bell! As far as fluids, that is where I’m a bit more Irish.

#13 Furman wins over UVA as well. I never would have guessed that either. What percentage of brackets are ruined already? Like 97%???

I didn’t see anything on this yet, but I’m having a great afternoon watching this wild ride! The #15 seed Princeton takes out #2 Arizona in the first wave of upsets!

When we were poor newlyweds our big treat was a trip to Ruby Tuesdays on Friday nights. A couple drafts, a strawberry daiquiri and we’d shared the sampler platter. Add a roll of quarters, and you have a Galaga marathon! Now, decades later, we are looking to get a Galaga game to go in the basement. We were never into video games, but we got hooked on Galaga and we’ll stop and play anytime we pass a machine. We had a little box that would hook up to the TV and play at home, but there is something about having the arcade machine and putting your body english into it. I had a brief encounter with Pong when it first came out (1972, I just looked it up). I wonder how many here have never played that riveting game, or might not even recognize the name. Aren’t we all???

That’s YOU! We’ve missed you! Where ya been? 😋 They’ve invested a lot, and gotten less than hoped for. The Von ACL was a big swing to fix that problem, and it was working, but we just drew a bad hand. It happens. That sucks. I really like Rousseau but other than that……… some guys. At least there is no Troupe in there. That’s my (typical) glass half full version.

Let’s take away Mahomes and Burrow then, too. The roster gets holes as you spend your $$$ on QB’s, and the Bengal’s aren’t even there yet. The 49’ers have a great roster, but a giant question mark at QB. I like their GM and HC. Does Boomer finally see his dream Super Bowl matchup……with Brady vs Josh but not on a golf course this time. How many years in a row did he have Bills vs SF in the SB?

I mean….at least he wasn’t napping. That’s worth something, right? 😋

That’s how I avoided quizzes in college. I slept in.

Everyone is just doing their jobs. Some people do it better than others. I happen to be mostly a fan, but time will tell. This happens in every line of business, but this just very public.
