I don’t sit in the room as they make those pricing decisions, but that sounds like an AWFUL plan to pay 0.3% in the current market. That is not just low, that is PISS ME OFF low. I looked up our Barclays account and I believe it’s paying 3.8%. (My wife handles most of the investment stuff, so I had to check.) If you are getting 4% or 4.25%, I’m OK with that. I’m not chasing every penny on a regular basis, but 0.3% in this market is how you get people to commit to never doing business with you again. Great, you made a little bit more off of me for a little while, but you lose in the long run. There is a gas station on a great corner right by my house. They routinely charge 40-70 cents/gallon more than multiple stations a mile in any direction. People fill up with gas there all day long. Again, I don’t need the BEST deal, but this feels like an insulting stupidity tax. I wouldn’t buy a bottle of water from them if I was thirsty.

Maybe you’re just cranky when it comes to draft related stuff? Take a deeeep breath and relax. 😋

Fair enough. They don’t move back that far. I think the devil is in the details here. How much salary, exactly. What other details are there? I think I’d wait, but they may not have any acceptable options……yet. It may be a game of chicken. It may also be a hundred other things. 🤷‍♂️

So you favor a VERY expensive WR who will be 31 next year over every player in this draft? A young guy who will be here 4-5 years on the (relative) cheap? They may have a handful of guys they LOVE, but don’t expect them to fall to them. I’m all for a player of Hopkin’s ability and what he could do for us. I just think this is one of those games of chicken and we’ll have to wait and see.

Today is not the day to make a trade, since you have no idea who might fall to you. We might have a bunch of Bills fans staying up late to see……the Bills not making a pick. I think most would be okay with that if it came to be.

Ohhhhhh, NOW we’ve done it! I read your post, then went to an NFL.COM mock by Charles Davis who has us taking DB Brian Branch of Alabama at 27. I hope we haven’t created a karmic disaster! EDIT: I just looked at WalterFootball (for some reason) and they have us taking RB Gibbs of Bama. I need to stop looking! .

One little problem…..I only have NFL network on satellite since cable dropped the station (without reducing my bill, of course). I only have satellite for Bills games (Sunday Ticket) so the satellite package is minimal and does not include ESPN. I’ll have to switch back and forth from satellite to cable feeds to change channels. First world problem, I know, but it’s kind of a pain in the neck. 😖

I would rather sit in the war room for a Bills draft than attend a Super Bowl, even if the Bills are playing. We attended one Bills SB (vs Washington in Minneapolis) so I’ve kinda checked that box. Sitting in on a draft would be new and fascinating.

The Bills in the drought years could start just about any bum they drafted. These are not those Bills teams. I’d love a few starters, but our roster doesn’t suck. We have holes and weak spots, but we don’t suck.

And here I thought it was a cold beer on a hot summer day. 🤷‍♂️ Were you drafted, or did you enlist? Seriously? Is it in KC this year? Good for you! I never had a hankering to go to it in NYC, but that draft in Nashville was AWESOME on TV. I know the town pretty well, and it’s a great place for a thing like that. Some are, some not so much.

I’m sorry to hear that you don’t have a better class of friends, but maybe you could do some missionary work and convert them. We have room on the bandwagon! 😋 Sounds like a sweet set up, indeed. You have a bit of a time advantage on some of us EST viewers.
