  1. If @HOUSE has been pitching open tryouts with a modest processing fee, I suggest caution. Just sayin’ 😊
  2. Taco Tuesdays? I apologize.
  3. Wouldn’t that be a blessing if that safety spot became less of a concern! I’m certainly not giving up on Bishop, but he needs to be available and look ready to play mistake-free football before I can relax with him back there. Most guys are listed as CB or safety, but Hancock is a DB on the Bills roster. Serious question…..What would have been gained there? I suspect they know what they’re doing and they have better info than we have regarding the injury and their plans for him. This may be part of keeping him hidden and on the Bills for one more year and see what he can offer then….but what do I know? 🤷‍♂️
  4. Yes, judgements can be biased, in either direction. You sound more fair and open to all the facts, not just the ones that support your agenda.
  5. I’ll never forget when I dove a Camry and my mother drove an Accord. I think of them as being competing vehicles with both being reliable, but my Camry felt solid and durable while it felt like a tin can when I closed the door on my mother’s car. This was years ago so maybe it’s changed, but it was a striking difference.
  6. But the sinks will really be sinks, I’m hoping.
  7. I go to a pizza joint on a fairly regular basis for a slice at lunch. A guy next to me is in a Jets hat and we talk, then the manager realizes I’m from Buffalo. He insisted we try a free order of (medium) wings, and they were pretty darn good! Fast forward a couple years and I’m at the bar having my slice when a guy sits down next to me and orders his wings hot. They point to the menu and explain hot is REALLY hot, and he responds “Fine. That’s what beer is for.” He bites into his first wing and I ask how it is. Fine. As he picks up his second wing he says “it builds on you”, and he orders another beer. By the third wing his nose is running, his eyes are watering, and his wife is begging him to stop. These are the precious little moments in life I cherish. 😂 It wasn’t a hot sauce, it was a lethal rub. I don’t do “I dare you” anything.
  8. They called about having our son play All-Stars when he was about 9-10. They promised him second base and lead off hitter. I told them I would ask and his response was “do I have to? Half the guys are standing around, and the other half are just SITTING.” From the mouths of babes. He went on to play everything else.
  9. This should come with a DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME warning. Everything else does…..for a reason, I suppose.
  10. A guy signs a big deal and then his play falls off? That’s sounding familiar. I am having visions of sailor caps….. .
  11. I like hearing that! We fly in Wednesday before the opener and go directly to Watkins Glen for a night to walk the gorge and see the lake. My wife loves stuff like that, and I’ve never been there either. We’re also going to Niagara-on-the Lake one day. It’s nice to have some extra time during this trip. More meals!!! 🤣
  12. I am generally the eternal optimist, to the point that I probably annoy some people. Having said that, Cole Bishop scares me. I’m worried about all the DBs on some level, but especially him. And it’s not just because of a little preseason play. That’s why we play the games! I’m looking forward to real Buffalo Bills football.
  13. Not a Tacoma, but I have loved my Toyotas (currently driving an Avalon) and my son swears by his 4Runner. If he got a new car today, he’d probably shop for another 4Runner.
  14. Bad news - I will be in attendance and they have a shockingly bad record when I attend in person. FYI - I can be bought.
  15. Has “Doomed” been trademarked yet?
  16. You and Aaron Rodgers. Wait, maybe that guy just looked like him.
  17. Anything from a bowling ball. …..unless it’s from a bowling ball.
  18. He has played 7 seasons, and nobody expected too much early from a raw QB new to the league. Since then he’s been to two AFCCG’s, so I can be patient rather than being (imo) rash and emotional. I like our odds best on this path, despite those who disagree.
  19. And I’m having a blast! Are you not enjoying these seasons? It will be that much better when it comes, like your mother told you when you were hungry but dinner wasn’t ready yet.
  20. It’s the same here I think. I know we ate the sales tax benefit, but it was worth it to help out the niece with her first post-college car that was not a hand me down from her parents. We could have gotten that and it’s still a nice win for everyone, but the wife really likes this niece. The $800+/- means a lot more to her than us. .
  21. To have a chance each and every year beats trying to catch lightning in a bottle with a sloppy team development plan. I’ll stand by that.
  22. I think it just goes to demonstrate the number of things that have to fall just the right way.
  23. ….and lost. They have also missed the playoff for 3 of the last 5 years. I’ll pass. I like our plan much better.
