  1. You wouldn’t have said “look at the fat guy” before. If anything I’m too thin now, but the timing is right on the mark. I have to believe it’s related.
  2. I see you have been paying attention. 😊
  3. I’m sure that’s true. My test came back with shocking results, designed to scare me. It worked a little bit, too. I was a mess, and they made that clear, and insurance paid for my CPAP. My SIL has been with a great guy for over a decade….. and he snores. He is the only person I’ve ever known who has been declined. Repeatedly. I don’t know what he’s doing wrong, because he really does snore. I told him to get plastered the night before the next test. He wants his insurance to pay for it. They’re not cheap.
  4. I’ve been down that road. I used to snore loud enough to wake myself up at times. It was real, and I don’t blame my wife for being upset. It was worse if I’d had a few drinks, but it was always an issue. I did the whole CPAP thing, and I absolutely hated it. It was like having a leaf blower strapped to your head blowing air into your face all night. I know some people who use them and LOVE them, but I hated it. It was much easier to sleep in another room, unless we were traveling. A few years ago I lost a bit of weight, not a ton. I lost maybe 10-12lbs, and about that time the snoring ceased to be an issue. Was it just the weight loss, or were there other factors? I don’t know, but it’s great not having to worry about bothering my wife. EDIT: I just read that again and I have to say I still bother my wife, just not by snoring. 😂 . .
  5. All it takes is one person getting in her ear. If you can’t do the right thing just because it’s right, then do it because you might get caught if you don’t.
  6. My suggestion - Just be yourself. For entertainment purposes only.
  7. Al? Is that you??? A housemate in college was that way, to the point that it got almost weird at times. It may be a thing.
  8. For the record, I think that is the best leftover pizza I have ever had. The prosciutto was the star hot. (The fat was quicker to the tongue?) The arugula was almost a nuisance when served hot as much of it fell all over. But the arugula gives you a fresh bite and is the leading taste when it’s cooled. It’s almost like two different dishes. I’ll be back there, and try a bunch of toppings. Prosciutto is my new favorite. .
  9. Nobody owes them anything. I’d suggest that they look into futures with better prospects if they are concerned. It’s a decision they make.
  10. I can’t tell you how many times aI apologized, but noooooo, he just wouldn’t let it go! The truth? He was holding things up, he deserved it!
  11. The Browns wanted to be what the Eagles have become. A team that flaunts the salary cap and has it pay off with something good, at least for a while. The Browns screwed themselves with the Watson contract, and they have nothing but misery to show for it. Eventually the Eagles will have to eat all those void years, but the fans are having fun now!
  12. We moved into a new house a couple years ago and needed a LOT of electrical work. Some days they would do like $1,800 worth of work, and when you go to pay it gives you options to tip at 15%, 18%, 20% or 22%. I’m sorry, this is turning into real money, I’ll pass.
  13. Welcome to New York State!!!
  14. I guess it helps that they can get all kinds of pressure on the QB, making things easier for the guys on the back end.
  15. The prosciutto and arugula pizza was amazing! I’m already planning on trying to get my wife up there next weekend. It reminds me of the pizza we made in a cooking class in Rome a couple years ago. The instructor explained that this was different from the pizza in Naples where they toss dough. Ours was just rolled, and amazing! I have a pic of my wife with this big old pie in front of her, annd another pic of her taking the last bite! So light and airy it didn’t fill us up! The bartender today was telling me if I like the prosciutto and arugula pizza I need to try the white pizza. It’s got ricotta, truffles and mushrooms. It’s on my list now. I’ve been there 5 times in the last 2 weeks since I learned it was open. The owner is from Italy and the menu has so many things that need to be tasted!
  16. I went to a new-ish restaurant yesterday. One of the two partners is from Italy and has a fine dining Italian place in town we love. The new place is more casual (and closer to me) and I’m thinking of going back today for the prosciutto and arugula pizza. I’m just intrigued.
  17. Rude cart placement is one thing. Running into your Achilles because you are going too slow is another.
  18. Absolutely right! She’s not obsessive about it the way she was at Boston Market (I just realized BM might be a bad abbreviation), but the Lemon Pepper Chicken from Publix is in the rotation. Easy, cheap and versatile. .
  19. I thought my wife alone would keep Boston Market alive! Between her and the kids, they had a lot of meals there. It got to the point I couldn’t look at it any more, so she made it her lunchtime drive thru deal, hence her close relationship with the people in the window. 😂 I must say, I preferred the Boston Market phase to the roasted (a little too long) broccoli and shallots phase. That lasted for a couple years, but it’s just now making a resurgence and I’m getting a bit concerned.
  20. Mike Brown is going to have to be medicated for what’s coming his way. He’ll cheap out eventually, I bet. It’s what he does.
  21. Absolutely! There is only one place I will order wings, because they make them the best. Another place has the best clam chowder, while I prefer the French onion soup at another place. There is a place I visit maybe every other month, and I always get the same thing. I walked in yesterday and the bartender says “Arnold Palmer?” Yes, please. “And the fish tacos with fruit?” Now he’s just showing off or making fun of me. 😊 Along those lines, my wife once got a Christmas card from Boston Market addressed to “The Chicken Salad Lady”. 😂
  22. I was watching Willard Scott announce all the people who turned 100 while I had breakfast before work one day. He announced a guy who lived on Hilton Head where we lived, so I perked up. I looked down at the newspaper in front of me, and the obituaries were at the back of the sports section, and there he was. So close!
  23. I hope that would come with a plumbing upgrade!
  24. Another way of putting it, WR’s go fast, until they don’t.
