We’re averaging about a page a day, so we really need to pick up the pace before Jerruh does what he always does……pay too much because he enjoyed the attention he got while waiting. Once he signs we have a few pages complaining about how badly we failed, but then real football will start happening and it will fade away. Until there is a time to point to our many failings sometime years down the line, nothing is ever truly forgotten.

Can anyone remember anything from their pre school?
Augie replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
I have earlier memories, but I vividly recall my sister having a friend over and I was annoying them as they played in the basement. I got in trouble and had to go upstairs with my parents. We watched JFK’s funeral, with the horse drawn carriage taking his casket down the road. That was just a few weeks after my 4th birthday and I remember it more clearly than some things that happened last week. I have other things from much later in life that are annoyingly unclear to me. As @frostbitmic noted above, it’s amazing what the mind selects to store away and make available, while some other things remain a foggy mystery, or just disappear from your mind. -
That is either an interception (my biased vote), or an incomplete pass, but they went with option #3. .

I’m sure Dan Fouts has been mentioned. They were ahead of their time, and it was fun to watch.

It also helps that Josh is a genuinely likable guy, as opposed to a smug, arrogant prick. Josh will always be loved for being Josh, maybe just a little more if he has some rings to show for his efforts.

And then, there is this….. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1029464-trent-dilfer-brad-johnson-and-the-8-worst-qbs-to-ever-wear-a-super-bowl-ring The worst to win it. If Barry Switzer has a ring, there are a lot of factors involved, including dumb luck.

….before sitting out the second half.

So, does this mean I get my money back???

Actually FAR more the way team jump around. The fact is, if the 4-5 teams in front of you love their guy, it’s probably not prudent to pay them what it would take to get them to move. IF they are willing to move at all. We were never moving up 20+ slots. We were working in a relatively small closet of a few spots, and on a clock. I wasn't in the room.

So, what we have established is that we have at least three different scenarios.

The point is, none of us know what deals were to be made. I won’t assume the worst and cast blame when I don’t know what was driving them and what the obstacles were. They may have tried and nobody was moving. That happens sometimes, just like sometimes people are more willing. People do things for their own reasons, not because we want them to.

Fans make it sound so simple and easy. I’ve never played Madden or anything, maybe that’s where that comes from. It takes two to Tango.

Words never to be spoken by Bills fans until some kind of buzzer has gone off and the clock reads 0:00. I remember warning my kids it wasn’t over in a certain Music City Fiasco, and that was a lesson learned the hard way for them. But yeah, I expected a deal after the Chargers helped clarify the market for Mr Cook and his agent…… maybe even his brother.

I thought he’d be great, but you need a trade partner go get up there and get him. There is no guarantee that you will have any takers on draft day.

I watched a lot of him at UGA and always thought of him as a smart, gritty football player. I really liked him coming out, but I see his best usage as being mostly in the slot, and that was a bit redundant for us. I do love him and I expect a fine career for him, but it wasn’t a fit here at the time, imo. That’s how things roll, sometimes.

The $1.4 Billion purchase price for the Bills isn’t looking that crazy now.
-
Better that than peeking at your medical records.

Elam was obviously an unfortunate whiff, but they are trying to add new looks. I like what I’m seeing. You can frame it any way you’d like.

Throw in the strategic defensive coaching additions, and I think he is seeing the light and trying to evolve. As I’ve been saying, I expect smart people to continue to get better at their job with more experience.
-
Better a clench than an unexpected and involuntary release. We are a much better and more dangerous team with Cook, and I’m fine with the terms. This could have been done sooner and with less angst, but it’s done and I’m pleased.

We like to be fair and be sure that everybody gets their opportunity to experience that joy. Spread the hate, for the team we love!

I bet you get the best crop of tomatoes EVER!

That would be a pretty bold joke to play, and a dangerous one unless you have a connection in WITSEC.

They’ve been teasing us so far. Just imagine how fun football would be if our DL balled out like our OL this year. That sure would be worth the wait for me!
