Frequent flier miles? 🤷♂️ They know what their intentions are, and we don’t. I don’t know what, if anything, this means. It’s all smoke and mirrors at this point.

Thoughts on Attempting to Obtain 4 2025 2nd Round Draft Picks?
Augie replied to HIT BY SPIKES's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, but, other than that…….. 😊 -
Thank you. That is the kind of info I was looking for, and pretty much what I thought/hoped I would hear. I appreciate the confirmation. I’m not sure if I had ever even heard of it before I left WNY for college when I was 17. In 2021 I went with my wife, son and DIL to the home opener. We flew from a wedding in Chicago to Buffalo and did as much as we could during a very short time. We did the Falls, of course, on a ridiculously windy day (even for Buffalo), which was hysterical. You had to learn to trap your official genuine souvenir Maid of the Mist poncho between your knees so it wouldn’t fly over your head! 😂 They’ve done the Falls and the pics still make us laugh every time, so something new would be great. Everything was always so rushed, but my wife got a package and retired unexpectedly this week. I want to be able to enjoy ourselves on trips and have the time and freedom to do the little side trips. The Prince of Wales was the one hotel I looked into, so it’s nice to hear that from you as well. Thanks again.

We have a neighbor who is a rather famous architect and author. He works all over North America on amazing projects including some of the nicest properties in Atlanta. He saw the Bills stuff around our house and told me his wife was going to the beach with friends, but he’s not a big beach guy. Instead, he was leaving the next day for Buffalo to do his own little architectural tour. The next day I get a pic of him with wings and beer. I say don’t forget the pizza! Seconds later I get a pic of him with pizza. He loved the trip, and he fully appreciated the stuff many of us take for granted. I hope to have more time this year to see some of the gems around town. I’m still curious, does anyone have experience with Niagara-on-the-Lake? I’d like to extend our trip up for a game this year and that seems like a place we might like to see.

Is that Dareus after he no longer fit into a sailor cap?

I heard Mahommes gives the whole team gift cards to a bail bondsman. I think that is a thoughtful, and apt, gesture.

I think we all agree he should be welcome to stay in Buffalo. I’m just not sure if he can play CB for the Bills. Come for the game, stay for the wings!

50 years ago today - a world changing call was made.
Augie replied to BuffaloBill's topic in Off the Wall
I remember the first time I saw one other than a car version. We were at our son’s tee ball game and there was a VERY pregnant mom who had one, just in case. It stunned me on the spot because it was such a game changer. EDIT: It’s hard to think back and imagine when that was new and strange. Then, a bit later, I saw a guy walking around talking to himself at our tennis club. He was walking and talking and gesturing irritably with nobody else in sight. I wondered if I should look for help before I realized he had headphones to talk on the phone. Fast forward and my elementary school age grandson has one, and with it he has the knowledge of mankind in his pocket. What will we see in the next 50 years? I can’t even imagine, honestly. . -
If you have a passport, is Niagara-on-the-Lake worth the visit? I had a friend in FL who went to visit, and I had to admit I had never been there. He had very positive comments. .

It’s funny, I started out watching it a little in the beginning. I lost interest but loved the nature scenes, so I’d stop and watch just a bit once in a while when it was on. I’d just watch a few minutes of nature and wonder “how the hell has this happened with these people?” Every time! 😂 -
Would you have loved the associated tax/PSL/ST cost increases? It’s always been a balancing act, and we can’t have it both ways. I generally come to one early season home game, so it’s no big deal to me. One game is not a huge commitment, but multiply by a season and it’s real money. I want to be comfortable late in the season, but how much more am I willing to pay? How about everybody around me? We all have different thresholds. It’s a tricky balancing act.

Gee, that’s not the way I remember it at all. The Vikings have the most interesting looking stadium in the league to me. It’s the one I would most want to see. ATL does nothing for me, despite the “dome”. There are a few other interesting ones out there, but let’s not forget that they are just football stadiums. I’ll wait to see it done before ridiculing it. That seems reasonable IMO.

It’s obviously in the eye of the beholder, but I thought Tottenham was pretty cool. Part of that was the surrounding area, but I had no complaints within that stadium itself other than they could produce and sell beer at a stunningly slow rate. Who thought filling a cup from the bottom was a good idea? They sell beer with a hole in the bottom! They drip, so they have to pour them from the cup that got filled into a cup that had never had its bottom perforated. I have a 27 second video with 8 concessions people managing to sell about 4-5 beers to people in a line a mile long! 😡 Sorry, but I saw much of the 2nd quarter on the phone of some lady in line with me. At least now I can laugh about it. Rant over. I liked the stadium. I was in the bottom of the upper bowl. I should have gone to the top to see if I got vertigo. I hope the upper deck isn’t too treacherous. Go with your gut reaction, that is usually correct.

Well, you are. The rest of us don’t actually exist. 😊 . -
How far up in the 1st round could we move up with one of our 2nds?
Augie replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we stand pat as well, and if we DO move I could see going back a few spots like we did last year. I’m too lazy to look it up at the moment, but what would it take to get back into the 3rd round? -
Thursday, April 3? Even the tweet was on April 2…..I had to go back and look.

Thanksgiving happens on a Thursday EVERY YEAR. I don’t love Thursday games, but they are doable. The 25th of December can fall on any day of the week, and this is just one more stupid idea to make more money.

So, this is what I’m missing because I avoid ESPN? I can live without garbage like this.

TSW 1.0 Poll - Who should the Bills select at #30 (Poll Closed)
Augie replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, that was a hurtful thing to do. 😂 -
I understand your frustration, and I would have acquitted you on all charges when you stole those plates. I think you should have been commended for leaving the car.

You mean……number seven?

I don’t know enough to have a strong opinion about OP, but you just jogged a memory of going to a football museum in Green Bay with my sister a few years ago. I thought it was going to be hokey, but I look back on that fondly now.

I have to admit, the start of baseball season kind of bums me out. I enjoy the restaurants and entertainment at The Battery in Atlanta, where the Braves play. I have to check the Braves schedule now before I can go there for lunch. It’s awesome with hotels, retail, countless restaurants, theaters, etc. My son will start working out of there as soon as their office is completed. Sorry, I just really like the Battery, and I’ve walked home before (thank you, Uber) so it’s not too far from home. Can OP support a smaller version of that? I have no idea. I think it would be great if it’s viable.

My sister lives in nearby Appleton and they keep asking if I’m coming for the draft. I am not, but I did stay with them the last time the Bills played up there so it was nice to ask. They have extra rooms and thought it was something I’d love and space is clearly at a premium. But the draft is not really my thing, especially in GB. They tell me they will be using parks to house people in RV’s and tents, but there may be snow on the ground. I’d rather attend the draft in Green Bay than sleep on the ground when it’s covered with snow, but I’m good with neither. I have no idea how equipped WNY is to handle a thing like that. I’ve been gone far too long to have an opinion. .
