  1. Now is the time for praying and regrouping. We know the important things. It’s also an ok time to point out how easy the go fund me is. Just sayin’
  2. Umm, I don’t think I saw those on the book table at Costco. That’s where most of my books come from. And they come with free snacks on every other aisle!
  3. I believe you should have gotten your Incredible Edible delivery last week with a warmly worded hand-written card. Let me check the tracking on that. Apologies for any delay or confusion. 😋
  4. I’m glad the dog survived. You’ve got a problem bigger than pot if you stabbed your dog. I’m not saying it couldn’t be a factor, but you know a defense attorney has to pin it on something other than the defendant. .
  5. Prayers for your wife and your family.
  6. I think we all need a sunny day! Week?
  7. Does the Kindle make it easier to read with your eyes???
  8. I only saw a few quarters of Ravens games this year, and don’t remember who they were playing, but that was the best looking football I saw all year. Granted, I admit to watching not a ton of NFL outside the Bills, but they looked really good when I caught them.
  9. Ummm, so far, yes. 😋 I can’t say I’m really looking forward to it, but it will be on. .
  10. I think he got dinged up at some point and wasn’t the same. And we heard about the foot at the end. I just saw no explosion from him after a certain point. I don’t know if that is true or related, but it looked that way to me. .
  11. I live in ATL. The Falcons live deep in the shadow cast by UGA…..and just about any other college team. I hope they find some success to make the few locals who care happy.
  12. You’re thinking of Mr Holland, maybe? That was awesome!
  13. If nothing else, it helps you self-scout. What ideas do other smart people have for you? What do they see when they watch us? What did we do right and wrong in their eyes? You may be able to learn some valuable things.
  14. This is where everybody makes me look like crap because I read cheesy commercial books that do absolutely nothing to make me a better, more informed person. I know this spot, I’ve been here before! 😂 But I enjoy them as an escape type thing. My wife reads almost exclusively self-improvement and leadership type stuff or spiritual stuff. I guess in this case opposites did attract. EDIT: I’m curious if you’ve (intentionally) read a book more than once? I know I read Catch-22 and The Winter of Our Discontent at least a couple times on purpose. Sometimes I’ll get 10-20 pages in and think it’s sounding too familiar, because it is. .
  15. I go out to lunch and read almost every day. It’s often the best hour of my day. I look forward to it and hate to say it actually upsets me when friends want to get together for lunch. I join them so I don’t become a complete hermit. I generally read the same kind of stuff including Grisham, Baldacci, Michael Connolly, etc. The last book outside of that genre was The Art of Racing In The Rain, which is told from the perspective of the dog. I’m a dog lover and enjoyed that one. When I got into real estate I learned to always have a book in my car. You never know when you’ll have a little time to kill waiting for appointments. I’d never even bring it in the house until I was finished. The book was for my spare moments and something to entertain me during lunch. .
  16. My son has a dog who would do that. She ate 60 flour tortillas that were on the counter pushed up against my backsplash. I’m glad I didn’t have to put them back together, after a night in the back yard. I’d never eat Mexican food again!
  17. Garanimals. Mr Potato Head?
  18. He is a terrible grocery shopper! Don’t even let him in the parking lot. That’s where most accidents happen.
  19. Well, they do slow down a bit when they run him over. …and fill in for him when the inevitable injury happens.
  20. Why didn’t they just roll a window down? Or maybe put him out on a wing? 🤷‍♂️
  21. I can respect that. I really don’t know how much power he really has because I’m not on the inside. I have expressed concerns over him calling the defense and playing the HC roll. I know it’s not unheard of, but I worry that it stretches him thin. A little more veteran brain power sounds nice, but it’s hard to say without knowing what the facts are regarding how things work behind the curtain. But for now he is safe, as I think he should be. Hopefully one season the stars will align for us and we can all celebrate together.
  22. We are close, we just keep trying, IMO. We have been unfortunate in timing, as Andy Reid and the Chiefs are formidable competition in a big picture sense. I honestly hope Reid wins one more ring and retires, as has been talked about some. It’s true, we lost to the defending SB Champs by 3 points at home in the Divisional round of the playoffs. We missed a fairly easy FG to cement the loss. Sometimes in life $%#& happens.
  23. Would you like to expand on this? What about him? Are you pointing out that he had a .518 career winning percentage? Significantly lower than McD at .640. Do you want to point out that Lewis was 0-7 in the playoffs? I wish McD had a few more playoff wins, but he is 5-6, which says he belongs while it appears Lewis did not. You made me guess what your point is. That’s what I see regarding Marvin Lewis. I don’t see how that helps your case in any way.
  24. Making valid points will get you nowhere with this crowd. Sorry. It has been decided. 🤷‍♂️
  25. Belichick is a no, in my book. Too old, he’d want control he should not have, and I just don’t like him. He’s just trying to get another 15 wins or whatever to pass Shula. You are not building anything with that. Harbaugh will get you wins. He will also wear you out. I don’t see him as a long term solution, but I’ll give you that he will win. At least, I expect him to. Yes. Yes it is.
