Show me where anyone said not great against the run? I don't mean somebodies touchy Uncle. Not a local news guy making $31k/year. Show me one scouting website or legit mock draft site. You won't find it. Because nobody says this. I wasn't thrilled with trade up, but 9ers DL is in same boat as us. If it's the guy we had targeted, I'd prefer to trade up (the only way need and BPA overlap). Also we went up 15 spots, and only went back 10 spots from the 2nd. Other than that we used the exact draft capital were supposed to maneuver with

To double dip with any meaningful pick at CB would be a mistake. Who are we taking in the 2nd thats going to be an upgrade on Dane/Tre, coming back to a defense they understand inside and out. Firstly, your best case scenario is a guy who won't start and is depth only. Secondly, anything you gain in athleticism basically gets washed out by the fact theyre not mentally going to perform like White/Dane. I just cant see how depth, at a position we have good depth at, moves the needle.

Im an amateur, and a moron, but this would be the least inspiring pick we could make today IMO. He's a 3T ,might be able to take the occasional 1T snap, but def is a 3T from everything I've seen. Strikes me as a poor man's Carter, so yikes. From his scout report: "Pad level is wildly inconsistent - will flash perfect leverage one snap then stand straight up the next, negating his natural power" "Pass rush plan comes and goes - too many wasted rushes where he's just pushing forward without purpose or counter moves" His combine numbers are a larger framed/ significantly less explosive Carter. Its just a scouting report and Lord knows they can be wildly inaccurate, but im fully out on him. Hate that so many DT's went off board yesterday. Seems our value in the 2nd is going to heavily favor DE

Firstly, I hadnt heard of Hairston's until late last night. Sounded flimsy as hell. It didnt get any coverage in Kentucky where college ball is king, and a tik-tok rumor. If McBeane werent sweating it, i feel confident its a nothing burger Secondly, Green's is other worldly. Two seperate SA's at two different colleges. On top of that a locker room malcontent. For 32 teams to pass on countries top sack leader. Yikes, I cant imagine him on our board

Genuinely asking, whats your plan with the extra picks? I think thats what makes it hard to evaluate a move like this... then on top of this, youre telegraphing your plan to move up multiple times, bc what the heck is a team like ours going to do with 11 draft picks. Im not against it, 3 picks in 2nd round would be awesome, 5 in the top 100. Concentrating your picks in the sweet spot of this draft. If it were to happen id take the highest upside WR on the outside.... then some combo of DT/DE with the next two. Im intrigued, just seems hard to generate a plan that justifies it

I like the prospect but is he a good fit next to Oliver? Fairly undersized at 295. Im kinda in the boat of BPA between DT/DE with our earlier 2nd rder, open to the right WR too, as I think those are going to be where are biggest difference makers will come from

Seems like a he could grow into playing at the Z, but his ability to get off press could limit him this season into a slot role. Depends where in the draft you think you can scoop him. 2nd feels like a major reach no? We have no 3rd rounder currently, and next pick is the 13th pick in the 4th. Seems like a name that shot up boards lately, and probably gone by then in 4th

Pick 24 of 2nd Rd.... we think he could be there? Def my crush of the day. Also interested in Burden ii (iii?). Cant see him reaching us at that spot though... maybe we go up a few spots if he starts sliding.... but then I think we move back a bit at our next 2nd rd pick to obtain capital to try and get back into 3rd round

Nah, they're saying that cause he's got that dawg in him. Reminds me of Josh. I certainly wouldn't say he's the next Josh. Does he have similar traits and physical stature, for sure

Man I just want to find our own Chris Jones. What we all hoped Oliver would turn into siiiighhhhhhh. Josh would have 2 rings by now with him on our team IMO... but youre right dont force it. Harmon atleast bats down a lot of passes doesnt he? -

Alfred Collins fall into that 2-down bucket, possibly 2.5-down, that Beane was talking about yesterday? -

Beautiful. As a Bills fan it's always cool to hear behind the scenes info. As a football fan: it's refreshing to hear any GM/Coach not treat every behind the scenes action, as a coldwar trade /strategy secret. Sure don't give away anything important but dang, this kinda thing is so cool to hear, and definitely not a secret among locker rooms. Kudos and All Hail Beane (who does a ton of this on McAfee show)!! -

Sign me up if the GM's arent smoking crack while making their picks. im having a hard time seeing a true 1st rd grade falling to us at #30, in a weak draft. Take the slightly damaged, but elite ceiling guy. With Tre and Dane here, we can spare the time for him to finish recovering and get up to speed in our system. Maybe he can win out the position and feel 100% by late season/playoff time. at minimum for this season: he can be high end depth if injuries pop up... and expect a huge 2026 out of him. im not taking a lower ceiling guy, because he'll be avail 4-8 weeks earlier. we dont have regular season problems, so we can afford to take a dude like this. His ACL Surgery was October 2024 Even if were talking about him having a Tre White ACL recovery (worst case scenario)- im taking the risk on higher ceiling and waiting on him to bounce back 2026. But Tre's recovery was not a standard recovery, theses surgeries get better and better every year, and recovering at 23 vs 27, is different. -

if a nasty arse guard falls at BPA, then im down for doubling down on a strength and getting younger on the OL. admit its not ideal, but i wouldnt shy from it either Brave browser FTW This pick would intrigue the hell outta me. Look what Coach did with Benford in 6th (5th? 7th?) round. Imagine him grabbing the #1 Corner prospect on the discount shelf @ #30 due to injury? Absolute physical freak. We could afford to bring him along during the season too. Hed be tempting AF if hes sitting there -
When you look at it like that, its hard to blame RB's. anybody think its possible during NFLPA Bargain Agreement, that they modify (shorten) default contract length of RB's. It's def unfair to them. Even if a GM wants to do a deal, hes kind of hampered by the rest of the RB market, where giving a fair contract is a liability when theres cheaper labor out there. If 32 teams are operating under a - 4yr 1st round, 3 years yr rounds after - it might be easier for a GM to justify retaining his pick. More teams will have to do it, or theyll be spending more draft picks to get that cheap labor. Would change the supply/demand for all teams, while allowing RB's to get 2nd contracts before theyre out of the league. I think they should do it, but dunno when next Bargain Agreement is
-
Still a good time for trades, i bet theres a ton of discussion. rare time where GM's can meet face to face, and everybody is already in wheel and deal mode. even if nothing materializes, there are likely a lot of seeds planted, plus a chance for a GM to get some sense of a players worth in a trade. guarantee he's got and will get calls. GMs jobs are to complete due diligence. A casual on the side chat with another GM could lead to an in season trade during TC, or regular season. could even be a tag and trade next season bottom line: draft is important to GM's for multiple reasons. Id bet a ton of trade origins can be traced back to draft week discussions

Yep, happened to a Bronco few years ago. OL maybe? I dont think anybody has ever accused Cook of being a Nasa engineer Anyways, not a big deal to me, fairly expected. A way to holdout without holding out of TC. Obv doesnt mean he wont holdout from TC, but id have been surprised if he showed to these
