  1. Our window is different than the other teams this year. The cap goes up a lot the next 4 years where the cap has been flat the last two. Beane has a plan and we will do very well. We will lose players, but, less than people think. I think we may lose Diggs. See what Edmunds does this year. We front load our contracts, so, we "should" always have room to make moves. The dead cap money would took this year for next is peanuts with the cap increase coming. We probably would have extended Know this year, but, we didn't have the cap space since his cap hit this year is only $2 M. If he plays well next year we will have to pay a pretty penny for him. Beane knows it and can get it done if he wants to next off season. We are set up for success. As said above, GB drafted poorly. KC did draft well and took a great hall for Hill at the right time. KC good, GB bad. GB messed up Rodgers contract over the last 4 years and drafting Love. Dallas is Dallas. Bad choices and over paying the wrong players and positions. Bad coaching in their open window years too. Go Bills! As long as we have Allen and Beane we will be successful every year with a chance to win the SB.
  2. Makes sense, I don't disagree. That would be ideal for them to bring stability.
  3. Tyrod was traded for the first pick in the 3rd round. Schoen was familiar with Tyrod? No? The OP's point is solid, the New York Football Giants are following the same blue print Beane, Schoen and McD used. Tear it down, fix the cap, bring in fringe players they are familiar with to help build a culture while they build their team while the acquire assets. In 5 years will any of these fringe players be on the team, probably not. Maybe Antonio Williams IF he played a different position than RB (with the positions short life span in the NFL). Marlowe hung around with us for a while and exceeded expectations. I was a fan of his and what he brought as the 3rd safety. I will be following the Giants closer now. I am excited to see what they continue to do. I think Schoen will succeed. I do not think Daboll will. He may, but, I guess 3 and out. I will give Daboll credit that he learned and continued to improve each off season and grow with the Bills. If he can continue to do that he will succeed. I think as a HC nobody will be there to check his ego and he ultimately will not move the needle. In 3 years, they let Daboll go and the New York Football Giants will be an extremely desirable HC position with a team built for the long term. Missing a couple key positions.
  4. I think you are right. I think they will trade back and continue to acquire assets. I think Barkley will be traded at some point too. I hope so. He has skills and with an opportunity he MAY be able to take advantage of it.
  5. Happy birthday Coach!
  6. Interesting thoughts on the 2 CBs. I like it!
  7. Maybe Jerry got paid one year too long. I don't think so. I think he was one of our top 2 DE's last year. Would of liked someone better than Jerry from another team, sure. Hughes still got pressure and he still doesn't get the holding calls he deserves. I never understood why he didn't get holding calls for 7-8 seasons, it was not right. However, the holding calls he does not get will help our team with someone who will get pressure or penalties. Love adding Von Miller! And, please give Oliver and Miller 70-80% of the snaps each.
  8. Haha, the 7th for Lee Smith. That was an impressive move for a TE retiring or being cut.
  9. I also would be happy with them. I think in this order.... Penny Patterson McKinnon I think Hall is best though. Penny might come at the right price. My only question on Penny (besides injury) is does he need the lion's share of the carries to be successful? Interesting..... I would love a great RB weapon for Josh to take the offense to an unstoppable level.
  10. My guess and gut feeling is the Bills would have taken Etienne if the Jags didn't jump up and grab him last year. I think Beane and McD see a game changing RB weapon if it is a special player is worth it.
  11. Bates is one of our top 6 Olinemen and can play all positions on the line. And was starting in the playoffs. He is more than a back up. The signings you mention are exciting, but, signing those players AND keeping Bates would be better. We may still keep Bates. Beane has a plan. $1.5 million more and we would get a 2nd round pick if we lost him. Maybe Beane has a long term contract ready to offer? Maybe Kromer doesn't love Bates. Who knows. I personally would prefer Bates on the team, but, trust the process. The tender Beane placed on Bates may have been a gamble Beane didn't need to take and maybe got too cute. We will see. I hope Bates is back.
  12. Very sad. He was amazing and a legend. RIP
  13. The #1 seed is a larger advantage than ever before. I want the #1 seed and glad we are in the AFC East AND the other divisions will beat up on each other. Go Bills! 15-2 should do it. 14-3 may. 13-4 could.
  14. Agreed
  15. Huh. Not NFL roster material? This is a very slanted opinion and seems to be non sensical. Maybe he should not be CB2, but, he played great when he played last year. I think we will sign and/or draft a CB early this year, but, Jackson is in the conversation to start....let alone be on the roster. I think Round 1 is a strong possibility for a CB. And since we play zone, we may get the 1st or 2nd best zone CB in the draft. I also love taking a CB there as we did late in the 1st round with White. It also syncs up nicely down the road in 5 years when White will be declining. EDIT - I like Guard, CB2 or Breece Hall (RB)late in the 1st. Maybe WR. Depending who is there and BPA at these positions I like CB2 and Breece Hall
  16. Bob Woods is F'ing crazy!
  17. That is a good price for him. My guess would be the Bills think they can improve the talent at the position for the same or more money. The value of the contract is good.
  18. I think he is on the roster and it is Dodson.
  19. So well played!! I had a great laugh! Thank you! I would think so too. It must be a passion opportunity.
  20. I think he get $15 million a year for two years. $30 M total, $20 M guaranteed.
  21. Just short of a decade. Interesting, I assumed it had already been finalized.
  22. GREAT point! Poor choices, good try, wrong move and you need to be accountable for trying to hedge your bets and make the wrong play. AKA, hey you tried, you chose poorly. FU pay me. Fyi, my personal opinion on Rodgers is he is a huge man child with an ego problem. But, agree the Packers made poor choices to help push the manchild to make these decisions. Rodgers is pissed and GB painted themselves in a corner. Nobody puts baby in a corner.
  23. They actually don't throw the ball much. I think Kyler Murray and their offense handcuffs their WRs. Add Deandre Hopkins and not many balls to go around. I would give a 5th for him. 6th is probably and possibly enough. He is better than we would get in the 6th round.
  24. That is good to hear. Thanks for the info. Is that for the entire year? I would guess and think that Ed Oliver's first half of the year vs 2nd half of the year had different snap counts. Can you break it down that way? Thanks!
