  1. I dont understand it. It hit him in the hands and he did no attempt to contortn his body. You watched Mike Williams GO GET IT. Robert Woods Go get it TWICE!!! And our starting, Mr 53 catch leading the team last year so he is irreplaceable this year, couldn't catch a ball because it wasnt right on the numbers... instead on the hands. He doesnt need to be cut but whats the point of a TE if he cant be counted on to make that grab. Do people see what Zach Miller did on that one handed grab thursday night; What Jason Witten has been doing for years and honestly think Chandler is capable of these plays?
  2. Lol was it. He wasn't even in the screen. He needs to be replaced. That drop was a catch that a good. Or basically standard TE makes. And he didnt. Why do people not realize we need a tight end. Chandler is a number 2. And that was ALMOST holding on the TD
  3. Its been reported that it was Ebron. However, I like to ask people who said that in retrospect that we should have taken Shazier. Im just curious how that would work given Kill should be back next year and Bradham has stepped up considerably. What would we do with him? Do you see him starting over Bradham? Or is it a reaction to Browns play/Rivers injury? Or would you have him in there on passing downs spelling Spikes? Just a conversation starter inside of a conversation.
  4. Words out of my own mouth. Wilson ok maybe he is over rated maybe not. I qualify that because he has only been 3 years. But no one will argue that Aaron Rodgers is top 3 in this league. I saw everything that people on this board complain about happen in that game. How many passes were off target; under thrown, over thrown, almost intercepted. How may times did we see a drink and dunk. I remember specifically in the 4th qtr the analyst said Rodger has goneb11-14 on throws under 11 yards... WITH NO YAC. Then only huge difference between what they do and what we do is they throw the ball down field to keep the defense honest. But lets face it. Unless Watkins is something like Percy Havin, expecting this team to be able to do what we saw on thursday night is insane. EJ is a west coast offense qb so he will not be airing it out 5-10 times a game. If the offense had a self determined identity, they would play much better.
  5. The funny part about what you said in regards to a single viable QB on this roster. We have EJ and he is SUPPOSED to still be a backup. Remember he was supposed to be a project with a sky high ceiling. The FO blunder is that they had a plan and didn't see it through. Im tired of him being a whipping boy. Why didnt the FO protect their investment and bring in at least. AT LEAST someone who could challenge for the start. Draft someone. Look at a QUALITY short term free agent. Groom your guy. Instead they decide to play status quo. Let Wilson die, and now theybare afraid. They are scared for their jobs now. We are in panic, rush, knee jerk mode. Its sickening.
  6. I hope these weren't offensive linemen. Because outside of Cordy I cant name one who has measured up. Freddy has gotten hung out to dry a few times. So lets see how that interaction plays out. But there are a few guys that need to do a self evaluation before they voice opinions on other guys.
  7. I think Gugny has a valid point. We got killed on 3rd down all the time. Stats indicate that the offense held us back. But you have to go back and look. Did we score points? How much are the offensive numbers skewed because of the hurry up offense. The eye test gave me the impression that we would have won more games had the defense come up when it mattered. Against the run. And also 3rd down. If this defense can stop the pass as they have not shown they can yet. With the same offensive output as last year at minimum. You should see a better team on the field game days. Really you question Gilmore? Lol he is always hurt when he gets burned. Just you wait. If Marshall takes his lunch money Sunday, he will be hobbled at some point in the game
  8. Assuming his leg checks out and he bounces back to old form He pretty much changed his number to 25 and changed his name to Da'norris Searcy.
  9. They need to just let him air it out. If he doesnt complete a single pass. Just go deeper than 10 yds every pass. Ints need to be learned to be forgotten and he needs to see how it feels to get the ball deep and intermediate distances within a game. Dont check down just throw. Read. Learn. Grow
  10. I almost started a thread this morning about that. I could not believe what I was hearing. One day hopefully EJ progresses to Tannehill? Why? What did they see that I didnt? I lost respect for him on that comment. Was that Joe B who said that?
  11. I would have found a way to get a better TE personally. But as big an EJ fan as I am... I would have traded down and gotten Bridgewater, I still have no idea how he fell that far. Bortles would have been nice as well.
  12. Play calling? Maybe. But pre snap read DEFINITELY... Thats what centers used to do. Thats why Jeff Saturday was a throwback. It was a system of checks and balances. We really need to explore Eric Wood and EJ Manuels relationship in depth. Does Wood make line calls effectively. Does he pick up blitzers. What is he seeing. The guys of old were just as smart if not smarter than their QB. This is a point that needs to be greatly emphasized. Thank you Nucci for the point. Ted Marchibroda is far superior to Nathaniel Hackett and I guess they are saying Palmer is what Reich was. I have taken notice that EJ and Tuel are always looking over the stills together and kind of trying to piece it together. But where is the coaching in all of this? I really never see Hackett with them for a prolonged period. I understand that he has 10 other guys to address. But the QB needs to be in the know. And has to know what he is seeing. Last year he was the youngest player on the field for the bills as a starter not named Robert Woods. He is clay that HAS to be molded.
  13. How about you add in the fact that we had 2 near 1000 yard RUSHING backs. You can spin it any way you want. But when did Kelly play in a run first offense? You havent yet heard of "The E Gun"
  14. You guys and this mythical line. I wanna know more. It was the skycap who told me about the lines of the day and I didnt believe him. He told me about videos on youtube and I felt like man... Those holes are massive. I would give so much to build something like that again. With Marrone being a "line guru". You would expect a rebirth. I wish we would have waited and got Bridgewater. That guy has pinpoint accuracy. I dont care what people say. What I have seen with my own eyes tells the tale. I was just as skeptical until I saw what this man is capable of. Let me try to field this one... I think the slow cook was the plan. They thought Kolb was gonna be the short term while they molded EJ. They wanted to bring him along slowly. Almost like Jax is trying to force upon Bortles. They didnt plan on EJ having to go live this early. The problem is, like many others said, they didnt bring in anyone to cary out the plan after Kolb went down. I dont think we were supposed to see EJ yet. So that being the plan. The execuion was poor and this is the result
  15. People say that but let me try to spin it a different way. I dont remember Nix saying before the draft that that was definitely going to be his last year. I know he did mention it was his goal but I dont recall a time limit on when this was to happen.
  16. I can honestly remember Kelly talking nothing but knocking pegs off of Manuel. Its his belief. And something he feels strongly about. However I do get that no one really cares to hear about Manuel in pretty much every topic, which isnt pertaining to him. Crusading would entail that he will somehow get a following going. I dont see that coming. So respect to both of you guys. Lets just get some good football talk here.
