  1. I get it. It was a close call. But it almost seems that people think Gilmore was called for unnecessary roughness. It was pass interference. And he got there a second early. Hughes got the personal foul. I dont understand what difference it makes where he hit Sanders or Sanders reaction. It just matters if her were early. Which he was. But I loved the play
  2. That's crap. You know you are gonna get hit. Get down head first. Stretch out. You come up short there fine. But he was very indecisive. He did not want to run. He did not want to throw. You could look at him and see he was having a brain fart broadcasted live on tv
  3. Orakpo was a college DE and I am surprised there is not much love for fairley.
  4. Yeah it skipped off the ground. You can see it in Watkins face. He is frustrated. He looks like he is trying to play it off though Its written. All over his face. Atleast from where I sit. I said to my dad when we were watching. If we had another qb there would probably be another mutiny. I thought Rob Woods started to look a lot like he did with EJ before the 2 games he got hot. But that may just be my own individual observation.
  5. Why no Searcy? You put duke over Searcy? Orton has a rocket? I dont know if I agree with that
  6. To be fair. Watkins ate lunch in the first Jets game. He took over that one.
  7. I think he gets it. But I concur that anyone who says EJ definitely wouldn't have won this or that game has the same blind hatred. Orton doesnt look good. The only saving grace is as you said, what ej says he is learning from Orton. It is a playoff or bust situation. They said Orton gives us the best chance of winning. Well what are we trying to win? 8 games... whats the difference between 8 games and 6 or 7? We still miss the playoffs. Now we have a qb controversy next year. And all buffalo has in their minds is how many times EJ got hit by JJ Watt. He was 2-2 losing the Houston game... yeah he basically lost that game WITH the help of the O-line. Also the San Diego game, we played against evidently an elite qb. He dissected and obliterated our defense. Did Hackett put him in a position to win and let him succeed or fail? Or did Hackett coach him not to take chances? Do we know with all certainty? And how many games did Orton win vs how many games did he manage. He looks down field sometimes. But most of his passes are? Yep under 10 yds. Didnt the majority of Ortons yds come from Fred and Gray? How many games did the D win not to mention. Our star player Alex Henery in the Detroit game.Im not saying you. But I am saying people are giving people credit where credit is not due. Why do we always have this conversation? Why cant we let EJ play with a real OC and compete for his job with a real offensive game plan.
  8. We are gonna use sammy as a whipping boy now? Yes you are right. No excuses for injuries for me. But he has crap for passes. How many has he had bounce off his chest? He runs his route hard and concise. He make a lot of unnecessary difficult catches because if the ball was "right towards him" he could catch the balls in stride and get on. As a matter of fact if he ONLY caught the balls thrown to him where he wanted them he might have 5or6 catches on the season. Robert Woods is a DIRECT result of Sammy lining up opposite.
  9. Always thought he was a big liability. But I think he is starting to get it. Im encouraged to see what the next year or so brings
  10. I honestly do not think this is accurate. As a matter of fact women almost rallied behind him in the preseason. Remember the story on how many women wore his jersey in the preseason. Its going to if anything fade to black. Vick did time over a mass dog fight ring and who is really talking about that anymore. Time heals most wounds. Now on the football side. Yes. He has regressed. Maybe he will come back hungry.
  11. Whats gotten into that guy. I love it!!!!
  12. BBC has a point. The other guy... someone peed in his cornflakes. Its not Sammys fault that he is hurt. But we acknowledged that. Its not an excuse and if you are on the field you have to play. I dont expect 100% and its clear Watkins was not the game plan. However we need to find more creative ways to get him the ball when he is somewhat healthy
  13. Bradham tackling Ivory by the hair was up there for me. Didn't mean much but kind of exemplified the tone of the defense.
  14. Are you not seeing the same thing start I to occur with Orton?
  15. I can't even make out the image. But if it came from Philly it was not an Airbus. I know Mario USUALLY comes through Charlotte though. I can tell you. Im 6'6" 280 and its not pleasant. But honestly. No planes are.
  16. Totally on board. Didn't he have a brief stint at orchard park coaching defense?
  17. I think it was cumulative. Orton definitely didnt earn his spot at the table. I think he deserves every bit of the crucifixion... except benching him. He could have done a lot more. Which you HAVE said so I wont harp on that. I dont think I can point to anything specifically that lost the game. But I can point out a lot of contributing factors. I think the big thing is people look at things like this in a vacuum. We are all frustrated and why blame coaching. At this point does anyone have a basis for why Marrone and co should stay? They are terrible but at this point its just exhaustive to even talk about them. We have a huge an controversy. Isnt that what everyone wants. Only problem our controversy is who stink worse. Lol be careful what you wish for First point. He did however have a WIDE OPEN Hogan on what was that? 3rd down? He has to see that. Second point. I wholeheartedly agree. After reading how orton is teaching him I am on board with orton taking the reigns. If ej could command the huddle. And get some swagger with his intangibles. We would be on to something
