If the line EJ has was anywhere near as good as Jims we might have something. Maybe different teams, but I was watching Youtube footage of Thurman, and that line was amazing. Hull reading the rush and calling out blocking assignments. Ballard pulling and just the overall agressive nature. Its almost as if that nasty streak is gone from here. Not trying to let EJ off the hook, even though I dont see him as being as terrible as most on here do. I am more so wondering what happened to us to be such a patchwork line. Is it that we are still recovering from the Levy debocle that was Langston Walker, Melvin Fowler, Derrick Dockery. Or is it the release of good parts, namely people like Levitre and Jason Peters.

Fans... not the team are about to make me not watch this team. Its infuriating. I want to see some of these posters highlight tapes from college. Let alone the pros. Maybe EJ isn't good. Tying a rookie to a goal post and throwing water on him is hazing. Making rookies sing their school fight song at lunch. Is hazing. When I was in college playing basketball. They made us sing for the team on the team bus our freshman year. That was our rite of passage. The allusion I was trying to draw was that the good ol boys way doesnt always go the way its supposed to. Look at what Shockey did his rookie year for instance. I personally dont care what went wrong. I want guys hitting guys in the mouth. Thats what the game is about. They are supposed to be a brotherhood. Brothers fight sometimes.

I had Fitz one year because we didnt get points for negatives and I knew he would have a lot of garbage time scores... I had him CJ and Stevie the year we were pretty exciting and I cleaned up. HAHA Ill probably try to nab Robert Woods this year. There is something about hime I really like now

You likened Gilmore to Watkins. I was trying to delve deeper into your theory. I wanted to understand what you meant. I will say though. Training Camp superstars dont impress me. We have Hogan and others that look so good in camp that they wont see the field or for that matter even make the team. I like to watch the one handed catches and the ill double moves, but its not ever going to amount to anything unless its on Sundays. Thats when he will be out of this world impressive. Sammy has 3 catches in preseason, so what has he REALLY done so far. Wait until EJ and he do get into sync. Its going to be ugly. Especially with Wood and Mike Williams. So basically this is a long way of me saying that I have no arguement defending Sammy yet, when he hasnt done anything worth talking about to build a credible arguement

Honestly, I dont think it was Fitzpatrick as much as it was his refusal to fire Wannstedt, the whole its his turn thing, and also the fact he had no idea what was happening on defense and his press conferences in the end sounded like he just had nothing left. I wont completely disagree with you. I just think there was more to it than just Fitz

No one said he was a bum... he just isn't good. When people realize that we can move on. Maybe he could be a safety. Big body and probably would be that much better with the game in front of him. He shouldn't be responsible for playin with his back to the ball. We have a good one namely McKelvin. And some solid depth with Brooks Robert Graham and maybe Cockrell.

Honestly am not seeing a run blocking line. We run A LOT so the yards are there. But... BUT this line isnt gonna win in the trenches
