  1. Yes, they can do whatever they want with his contract now. Coming to terms with added incentives could be a workable solution for this season. It’s a good idea IMO.
  2. Rookie contracts can be modified, extended or replaced after year 3, so yes.
  3. If people want to stay downtown at the Ritz Carlton or the like, then they can just take the rapid up to the game or drive the 10-12 miles to the stadium. The Brook Park location is good as far as stuff to do. There’s plenty nearby and It’s easy to get anywhere on the West Side or downtown Cleveland from there. It is not like downtown is in great shape since Covid anyway.
  4. It will be right by the airport and IX Convention Center. Plenty of hotel space in that area.
  5. The Bills’ number matches what overthecap has for their total offensive cap number for 2025. So not a great metric. I don’t think it really tells us anything about any team.
  6. The coaching mistakes and inadequacies still anger me. As does the thought that the result was that they lit another season of Allen’s career on fire. I know that there were other factors - talent, injury, player mistakes & refs. But on game day what a team can control is execution by coaches and players. While Kincaid’s fail and some other mistakes by players definitely contributed to the loss I thought that it was the coaches who didn’t meet “the standard” that day.
  7. that’ll be tough for Anderson to pull off since he only got drafted two years ago. also I don’t think people here understand how good Hunter is or how the NFL’s economics work. He’s getting $27.5M AAV over the next two seasons and he is comfortably in the top 10 of NFL Edge players. there is nothing wrong with Hunter’s extension and he’ll be off the books when they have to allocate a lot of cap space to Anderson.
  8. I’ll say this: it’s not like the Bills aren’t trying to help themselves. They’re spending on keeping players and acquiring new ones. They’ve somewhat overspent on many of the moves, but the alternative would have been to watch their talent fall off substantially this year and next. That would be far worse. They’re in a tough spot and they are doing what they can to put the team into position to win.
  9. Spotrac has what was paid to each player by each team. For example, Adams was paid $11.6M by the Jets after the trade. DHop got $3.5M from KC. Amari was on a vet min because of the contract restructuring so he was a possibility for the Bills. He only counted $800k against the Bills cap. Dionte Johnson wasn’t the caliber of WR that Cooper was, but he was a possibility too. He only made about the same amount from the two teams he got traded to.
  10. KC paid Hopkins $3.5M for the part of year they had him. Amari only got $800k from the Bills. We could not have afforded Hopkins.
  11. I get what you’re saying, but Dane Jackson is a JAG. Elam is a bust so, yes, I’d rather have Dane too. But even last season Douglas was better than a JAG - even if only by a little by the end. Also I’m comparing the current Bills team to the one at the start of 2025 when he was better. I’m not sure how much of Douglas’ fall off was age versus injury, but injuries happen every season. Moving on from Douglas does seem the right path forward unless he’s cheap and we’re desperate. Hoping for a solid move to be made at CB soon. And we could use an upgrade at S as well.
  12. They’ll probably wind up being even or slightly improved, but the state of the secondary makes them worse off as of today. Lotta off-season left to go though.
  13. He was the only real option due to his contract and availability. The Bills were stuck - and that was their own doing - but by mid-season he was the only viable option to try to improve the WR corps. But, yes, due to injury and/or declining skills it wound up being a bad trade.
  14. They are in general. But they have a salary floor to meet and they aren’t stupid. They’re looking at getting a new stadium so they’re going to try to make the fans happy with some popular moves. They may even make a push to try to get a championship - or at least get close to one - while they’re trying to get their new stadium.
  15. This and PR. Gotta make it look like the league is clean for the fans.
  16. They don’t get their salary or per game roster bonuses, but it does not impact their signing bonus. They could have voided it but chose not to. The reason Beane gave was the DT market didn’t have much left so O-gun minus 6 games was a better option than anyone else left.
  17. Yep. Out for 6 games and shells of their PED enhanced selves on the field after that.
  18. Prior to the draft Elam was the player I least wanted the Bills to draft and said so in the thread for that. It was a terrible decision to go into the draft with such a glaring need and a terrible decision to draft him. But, yes, cutting your losses is always the smart move once you are in a bad situation.
  19. You’re right about all of that. It’s just a lot to see people gushing about it when the Bills do it and laugh at other teams when they do it. I don’t mean to imply you did that. Just plenty of it on the board.
  20. How many people here think Chicago’s GM did an awesome job getting that 5th for him?
  21. Kupp is primarily a slot WR. Palmer was brought in to be the floor at X. That’s Keon’s competition. Kupp isn’t a fit because we just paid Shakir and have a glut there.
  22. I think it’ll have to be the draft. With the post 6/1 designation nothing much seems to happen on 6/2 anymore.
  23. Lol. Good point
  24. He would be employed in some capacity in the NFL, but the Bills would’ve cleaned house long ago if Allen and Mayfield went top 3 in that draft.
