I went to school in Boston so I know it pretty well. It would be one of the greatest cities in the world if you could take everyone from Boston out of there.

I’ve never been to GB or Oakland. I’d vote Detroit.

I have only hit about 1/3 of the stadiums so my experience is fairy limited compared to some here. Without totally ducking the question I ALWAYS have fun on the road. Miami is a great weekend despite the lackluster game experience. New England sucks for football. NY is cool. My sister is in Cleveland so we always have a good group. I’m not a big fan of Pittsburgh. Charlotte, Atlanta and Jacksonville were fun. Houston isn’t the most fun place but had a good time there. New Orleans ended up being more of a job for me with the party. We had a great time but there was just so much prep that we didn’t get enough of a chance to enjoy it. If if you are doing road games (which I highly recommend) connect with the Bills Backers and you’ll have a blast. There are a bunch of places I still want to go.

Again, a lot of it is going to come down to how you experience a place. I’m trying to view this as a total outsider. If I went somewhere, and knew no one, where would offer the least? Detroit, Jacksonville, Buffalo, Green Bay, Cincinnati and Oakland would be my list. Now as a native of Buffalo I can show anyone a great time there. I’d imagine that is true of any city. I can show you a great time in New Orleans too and we’d never step foot on Bourbon Street. If we want to do this honestly though you have to try to remove your knowledge of a place from the equation. It totally alters your reality.

I’ve never like Indianapolis but I’ve only been there a few times. Any city that you don’t know that well will come across as underwhelming. I was there for work a few times and did the St. Elmo’s thing. We hit a Pacers game, a trendy sushi place where the athletes were (we were actually their 1st ever customers) and some bars. It was okay but if I went with a local I’m sure it would have been better.

Then my list stands. Buffalo for a football game is a great experience but it is at, or near, the bottom of the league the rest of the year.

Are we talking football trip?!? If so Buffalo is nowhere near that list. That is one of the best trips. I thought we were talking as a city all year.

Buffalo is up there although is much better than it was. Detroit, GB, Cincinatti, Oakland and Jacksonville are all in the mix.

I haven’t heard $10B but have heard well north of $5B. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it were that high. Pegula carries very little debt which isn’t the case with all of these guys. His money grows fast.

Not me....I also don’t believe that a team can institute fines and suspensions that aren’t clearly defined in the collective bargaining agreement. This is a pretty broad interpretation on the Dolphins part. That’s where my beef is. Personally, I don’t care what happens during the anthem. If they want to stand, fine. If they want to kneel, fine. If they want to stay in the locker room, fine. If they decide to stop playing it before games, fine. It doesn’t enhance the overall experience (expect Whitney in XXV). It is a polarizing topic. It’s like taking prayer out of public schools. People are outraged for a little while and then it goes away.

I actually believe the opposite. While the owners can outlast the players the league will lose billions if they lose the players. The NFL has no interest in being the XFL. They need each other. The second a league gets so arrogant that they lose sight of that is when the decline starts. That’s why it is different than other industries. Your assets are your liabilities (and they are human).

Replacement players are worse for business

Money is the extremely obvious answer. Wake me up when some league this century goes that route.

This was one of the most impressive things about McDermott’s rookie season IMO. He trusted his OC and let him play his guy. It failed miserably and McDermott took the blame publicly. He apologized to the team and won them back. He held Dennison accountable by firing him. A lot of good came out of a massive mistake. It was the ultimate “learning experience.”

Ha ha, I know that you are looking forward to NP under center in Baltimore.

I’ll take the over if you care to wager? I have a bunch of QB wagers out there. We can bet a Bills jersey of the winners choosing.

It’s almost like being chased by a bear. You don’t necessarily have to be the fastest but you have to be faster than someone. The NFL IS still in fact “the fastest.” There are a lot of people that will be eaten before the bear gets to the NFL.
