  1. I voted Anderson. He’s the most well rounded of the guys. He’s the only guys on that list that can be a number 1 IMO. Benjamin and Edleman are good complimentary players and would be great #2 options. Anderson is still getting better (even though he’s a lunatic) while Benjamin and Edelman may not be.
  2. 24 pages later some people just can’t stop talking about our former quarterback.
  3. Just wait until he tells the fans to “enjoy their little jobs.” He will be public enemy #1.
  4. Let’s go another direction. A segment of the fans should dress as sparrows from Game of Thrones. They should seek out opposing team fans walking towards the stadium and turn it into a walk of atonement. Someone has a bell and starts the “shame” chant and all surrounding Bills fans join in. https://youtu.be/M-9u6msqJNo
  5. They may start games but will never be high end starters. Peterman’s issues are well documented (lack of arm strength, struggles with pressure, spotty accuracy) and McCarron is a limited athlete with limited arm strength. They both can be game managers but neither can be “the guy” on a championship caliber team. That’s why they went in the 5th. That’s why McCarron got the contract that he did. I guess “anything is possible” but I’d say that there’s a .5% chance of either of those guys being elite QBs. The Bills aren’t betting on the long shot. They are betting on the guy with all of the talent in the world. That’s why I keep saying that the Bills concern is Allen’s development and not the day 1 starter. Those guys may keep the seat warm but they aren’t battling him for the job. It’s his as soon as he is ready. We all better hope that the Bills were right or start looking at the QB class in the 2020 draft. Jake Frohm anyone? How about Tua Tagovailoa?
  6. I don’t think that I was there for Arkansas but might have been. I went to LSU-Auburn, and Auburn-Alabama last year. That was my first Iron Bowl and it was pretty incredible.
  7. Hey, we all agree that the Bills needed to add their franchise QB this offseason. They did. It’s just a matter of whether or not he will be that. Teams hit at a pretty high percentage in that area but Allen has a massive ceiling and a pretty low floor. The other QBs are just there. They aren’t viable long-term options. They don’t have the requisite skills to be more than bottom end starters or backups. We had a guy that was better than that (a decent game manager). We need a guy who is THE answer. That will either be Allen or we will be looking again in 2 years like Denver did with Lynch.
  8. It’s not a disaster to anyone. Only some people care more about players than the team. Those people are still actively participating in a 23 page thread talking about former players. Wanting Nate to succeed and thinking he will are 2 totally different things. I WANT him to be a superstar. I will be shocked if that happens.
  9. It would be amazing. We have been waiting on a guy forever. We’d have Allen as trade bait and maybe even McCarron.
  10. I wonder what the actual odds of it are? If Peterman is the starter and you bet a 10 week parlay, Bills money line x10 what would it pay? They will only be the favorites in a game or 2 at that point. 50,000 to 1? It is probably something like that.
  11. I think that the best scenario is a QB on a contender goes down in the preseason. Say Brees goes down with a torn ACL. The Saints may look to acquire McCarron. They have no first next year and a 38 year-old QB with a torn ACL. Maybe they’ll give a 2nd to take a chance that McCarron is the answer? That’s wishful thinking but not CRAZY. Minnesota gave up a 1st and 4th or something for Bradford in a similar situation. It would have to be the PERFECT situation of a contending team, with a closing window and an older or questionable QB. The Saints, Pats, Chargers, Steelers, Vikings (maybe), and Jags are the teams that come to mind.
  12. Less than 1% that the Bills start 10-0 with Peterman having a 3:1 TD to INT?!? You think that their is less than a 1% chance that he is the MVP of the NFL through 10 weeks? You are so negative.
  13. I don’t deny that. Last year the Bills traded Dareus despite a 4-2 start (good point by Happy Days). They ran Peterman out there at 5-4. The goal of this regime is long-term sustained success. They aren’t trying to get a wild card berth. They are trying to win a Super Bowl. FWIW, I’m on record as having serious concerns about Allen. I’m also on record as saying that he likely needs a red shirt year. He wasn’t near the top of my QB list. The Bills CLEARLY feel differently. He has been “their guy” for quite some time. This team is targeting 2019 as the time to be a competitor. They are building towards that. They have 9 picks, almost $100M in so space and solid defensive pieces in place. They still haven’t addressed the offense. Outside of Dawkins and Allen none of these guys are “definitely” a part of the future. They are hoping that some guys like Zay, maybe Teller and others are a part of that. The Bills are not going to go into 2019 with Allen as an unknown. They are going to try to get him experience so that he hits the ground running next year. Beane and McDermott’s careers ride on him. That’s the nature of the NFL. I’m really surprised that anyone views this situation differently? That doesn’t mean that it will work or fail. It just means that “IS” the plan. The Bills have said repeatedly that this won’t happen overnight. By this time next year though the foundation of the team moving forward will be in place.
  14. I’ve extended and open invitation to come down for any LSU game that you guys want. It is INSANE. They do play UGA the day before the Bills Texans. It’s only about 3 - 3.5 hours from there. They also have home games with Ole Miss, Miss. St. and Alabama this year.
  15. That’s the crazy part. They took him early, were DESPERATE for a QB and he never even attempted a pass. That’s pretty nuts. He must be a special line of terrible.
  16. 100% agree My point was just he offers SOMETHING. Sully and Bucky at this point are nothing more than tired, negative content. That used to be the way to get attention. Now, you just need to be interesting and fresh. They are neither. People will accept negativity if it is new but writing “same ol’ Bills” articles over and over doesn’t work anymore.
  17. Tim Graham is a petulant child on Twitter. Tim Graham’s long story pieces are some of the best sports journalism I’ve ever seen. Unlike the other guys at TBN he was an asset.
  18. Russell is the only other guy I considered. He was picked #1 overall and was atrocious. At the same time he started 25 games, threw for 4,083 yards with 18 TDs. He was extremely bad. Hackenberg went mid-2nd round and has less pass attempts and TD passes than Dontari Poe. He has as many career passing yards as Stephen Hawking. I’m sticking with Sackenberg as the worst ever.
  19. I have no idea what will constitute Allen being ready. That is 100% up to Daboll and McDermott. At some point they will be comfortable with him playing and that’s when he goes on the field. Beane will be pushing for that to be sooner than later. The fact that Peterman being 10-0 with a 3:1 QB to INT ratio is even on your radar is absurd. Tom Brady couldn’t do that with that schedule. The reality is, if Peterman or McCarron starts the Bills will be no better than 2-2 coming home to play the Titans. If Allen is “ready” by that point he will get the ball. The next “logical” time would be about a month later home to the Bears. At some point though, right or wrong, the Bills are going to get him out there.
  20. Even still someone wasted a 2nd on him. Other guys like Logan Thomas or Jevan Snead that were talked about as potential #1 overall picks plummeted. Jimmy Clausen is probably the best comparison in terms of draft status. Clausen has kicked around and had a few decent games. Hackenberg was picked 51st overall and has as many career attempts as I do.
  21. I’ll go on record that Hackenberg is the worst QB ever. The combination of hype/draft position/success makes him the worst. Other guys may have failed more but never has a guy that was thought of so highly been so bad. He was talked about as a potential #1 overall pick and he couldn’t dress.
  22. Lamar Jackson is right there with Vick in terms of he most athletic QBs ever. I can’t believe that he didn’t run a 40 for teams!! Apparently he ran a 4.34 last year at Louisville. That would have been the 4th fastest time at this year’s combine. He is explosive with the ball in his hands. I’m not surprised that the Ravens, who lack big play ability, want to get him involved. I’m surprised that he is good with it.
