  1. The next 3 #1 overall picks may be in this game. They aren’t all ready now but the talent in this game is as good as any college game maybe ever. It’s there with the early 2000 U teams. Off the top of my head: Lawrence, Tua, Jeudy, Jonah, Ferrell, Wilkins, Quinnen Williams, Deionte Thompson, Wilkins, Lawrence (not playing), all of the RBs, Davis, Surtain, and Higgins all could easily be 1sts. The talent level out there is ridiculous.
  2. The talent level in this game is ABSURD!! o/u 20 players on these rosters that will be 1st round picks at some point? I’m taking over
  3. So so, Ferrell abused him on one play.
  4. I said early in the year that I’d trade the Bills receivers for Alabama straight up. I feel stronger about that now than I did then AND the Bills receivers are way better than they were then. The Alabama WRs are just absurd.
  5. No, no it didn’t. This is going to be a close game though I think. These teams are by far the best 2 teams IMO. Buckle up!!
  6. I have Clemson +6.5
  7. It is certainly weird (and not good).
  8. Lawrence is going to be an elite prospect. He just looks like Peyton Manning back there but he can move.
  9. Man, I go all over the map on this. They were my 2nd favorite team for a while. Now, their fans (ie my friends) annoy the **** out of me. The party was great for the last Super Bowl and I anticipate it will be again. At the same time I don’t want to have to listen to these ****heads for the next 13 months. I went mostly indifferent. Great topic!!!
  10. But you are already seeing the varying opinions. Someone has him in the 1st and someone else has him undrafted. He doesn’t need 32 teams to believe in him. He needs 1. Toolsy prospects ALWAYS get pushed up because of that. His ceiling his high and his floor is really low. FWIW, I don’t like him as a pro prospect. I’m not saying what I would do. I’m saying what I think will happen. I’m thinking between 90-150.
  11. I see him somewhere between about 90-150. That is certainly subject to change though (especially for such a flawed prospect). There will be a huge variance on team’s boards when it comes to Jackson just like there was with Josh. Some teams will look at Tyree Jackson as a day 2 guy with huge upside and others will see a player that shouldn’t be drafted.
  12. It’s being at the game and it’s not close. It requires a much bigger commitment but the experience isn’t even close. The question is really “would you rather commit an entire day (or weekend for road games) to a game or not?” Experiencing the game and the ancillary activities has to be done at the stadium.
  13. That what happens with raw guys. Someone has an undrafted grade and someone else has a 2nd. How many QBs in this class are better prospects than Jackson? 5 maybe? Haskins, Lock, Jones, maybe Grier and/or Finley? It’s not a lot. I dont think that he goes kn the 1st coming off of a bad year but wouldn’t at all be surprised if he were off the board by the end of day 2.
  14. We disagree on the backup QB as a draft pick at this point. You can throw a rock and get a guy to fill that role. As an example, if one of these QBs went out now and his team needed a guy they could add Sam Bradford, Jay Cutler or Matt Moore. Every one of those guys is WAY ahead of where a young backup is. You don’t need to waste a late round asset on a low ceiling QB. It is a terrible strategy. Either go for a guy with the tools to eventually play or fill out the back of your roster with guys that will contribution special teams. We will see I guess but I doubt it. It will take one team to look at Jackson’s raw skill set and take a swing on developing him. I’m thinking he goes late 3rd to 4th. He is Cardale Jonesish.
  15. This class is not good though. If you had a choice to take a guy late that has limited upside or a lottery ticket which way would you go? I’m buying lottery tickets late. I’d much rather draft a guy like Tyree that develops or washes out than a guy that will never be better than bad. You can find a zillion guys on the street to do that if you need it. The Bills added Barkley and Anderson off the street and both were better than Peterman. Don’t bother with guys like him or Levi Brown or Gibran Hamadan. Buy lottery tickets because you can always find a competent back-up.
  16. I think it’s a good decision personally. This QB class is so weak that someone is going to take him. Next year’s class looks a lot tougher. This is just a down year for the position. He has raw physical tools. In the mid to late rounds you are probably looking for a “toolsy” prospect instead of a “pro-ready” guy like Peterman.
  17. You’d be amazed at the hypocrisy that these guys live by. They have no issues with the guys doing it but if the wife or girl does it’s a different story. Look at Tony Parker and Brent Barry or Jason Richardson and Steve Nash or Derek Fisher and Matt Barnes. That’s how it happens. The guys and teams pick sides. This team (and locker room) has an allegiance to Poyer.
  18. They vacation together!! This regime has done everything to build culture. They aren’t bringing in the guy most likely to burn it down. It’s not happening.
  19. They aren’t going to take kindly to a guy that slept with one of their best friend’s wife. It just isn’t going to happen.
  20. It’s a fair offer but it’s not happening. Brown isn’t coming into that locker room after the Rachel Bush stuff (regardless of whether or not Poyer is there). Poyer, Hyde and Tre are EXTREMELY close. They aren’t going to bring in a guy who will immediately divide the locker room. AJ Green is a possibility but AB isn’t.
  21. I usually don’t let stuff like this bother me but this kind of did. The Allen haters are going to die on that hill. Whether you like him or not there isn’t a reasonable person in the world that can have him 10 spots below Mariota or below Bortles. Rosenthal should have just said, “I didn’t believe that he would be a good QB when he was drafted. 5 TDs and the AFC Offensive Player of the Week aren’t changing my mind. He stays at 32 forever.”
  22. Fun Fact: Van Miller and my grandfather were lifelong best friends. They grew up in Dunkirk together. My grandfather would do crazy stuff and Van would solicit money for him to do it. They’d split it at the end of the day. When my grandfather passed away Van couldn’t do it. His wife came but he couldn’t do it. I loved that guy!! #lamp
  23. Again, examples can be cherry picked to support the case that they matter. When you look at the entire sample teams that threw for 300 lost more than they won. Tom Brady was a 6th round pick too. It doesn’t mean that you will find your QB in the 6th round. There isn’t a correlation between 300 yard games and wins. The record says that.
