  1. Actually, I just checked, I heard wrong... but still, the Jets run d has been mostly pretty good during the Rex years...the exception being 2012. 2014- #5 against the run 2013- #3 2012- #26 2011- #13 2010- #3 2009- #8
  2. Honestly,I think I must be suffering from a Sal C overdose....the voice just grates sometimes...Murph is just dull..
  3. This could be the auto response to almost everything on this board!
  4. I actually thought Pryor showed some flashes as a QB...but in this day and age, there is no time/room for QB projects...he should go to Canada...
  5. You don't make it to Texas often? I will admit, things have gotten a little better in the Texas pizza arena, but it would take little effort to improve what was available before...
  6. I am going to miss CJ. The only consolation, for me, is that he went to a team that I can root for. I think he will be great in the New Orleans offense...as different as it may be this year. Perhaps, but the Saints offense could look a bit different this year. They have really lost a lot, but seem to have re-tooled... I think Payton is a smart enough coach to succeed with the pieces he has, rather than trying to cram a circle into a square...
  7. The legend of Tyrod Taylor grows a little more..
  8. Not so good with the episode names...and I think Breaking Bad was damn near perfect...for me, a few that really stand out \: the one where Walt dupes Hank into thinking Marie has been in a terrible car accident, in order to get him off Jessie (and his) trail...that was intense...that episode where you start to really realize how awful a person Walt really is, but you are kind of rooting for him anyways... I really didn't see any way the boys were getting out of that sticky situation, short of murdering Hank...but cold, and resourceful Walt really came through... The one where we realize that Walt did, indeed, poison Brock...the last shot of the episode was one of those spine tingling moments.. Also, the episode where Walt frantically tares up the floor-boards of his house to get to his money stash, only to find out that Skyler has given a considerable amount of it away.... it ends with a brilliant shot of him lying in the dirt, laughing insanely at his own predicament.... And, of course, the episode where Walt realizes that Hank knows his secret..their confrontation in the garage was something that had been building up for a few seasons... Such an amazing show...toying with the idea of watching from the beginning all over again...I have only seen them once...also thinking about a second run of the Sopranos...they are series #1 (Sopranos) and #1-A (Breaking Bad) for me.
  9. Yeah, maybe a bit extreme. I guess the constant negativity is just a drag... I guess I just haven't closed the door entirely on EJ just yet. I think he hasn't really played that much, and I also don't think he has been nearly as awful as some have made him out to be...certain posters have been bagging on him, it seems, since his first start...he may not work out, but there is still hope (in my mind anyway) that he can improve and be, at the very least, a credible NFL caliber, game managing QB. In my book, he has shown some promise in that area...
  10. Is this a serious question, or a rhetorical question? Maybe it just the natural result of 15 years of mostly bad football, but this board seems to be overrun by people who's sole enjoyment derived from following the Bills, is jockeying to position themselves to be the first one to claim that something/someone sucks.
  11. Sleep....whenever I want to.
  12. I still haven't had the time to watch the season opener, but for some reason, I don't feel urgent about it. As No Saint pointed out, it may be one of those shows that takes some time to boil...I would almost prefer to have 3 episodes or so back-logged, in case the pace is frustrating, as it sounds it may be. I was pretty transfixed by season one, immediately, and thought it was one of the better things I have seen on tv...ever...at least for the first 6 episodes. For some reason, though, I don't feel all that excited by season two...
  13. Also a reminder: All this week, the NFL Network is re-running the Rex Ryan/Jets edition of Hard Knocks...I believe it is on every day 11am eastern (Mon-Friday) and each one is also rerun in the wee hours of the morning...
  14. Right...just run an HDMI chord from your laptop (or whatever device you will be using) to your 52 inch screen, and you can watch the game on your big screen with little fuss...I do it all the time with NFL Rewind.
  15. Doesn't Herschel say this pretty much every year? It used to be Jim Brown, but then I guess even he realized it was starting to sound ridiculous....
  16. Oh my god.... "stupid season" seems to get longer every year...
  17. What about Matt Simms?
  18. Oh...what an isult to one of the geatest documentaries ever.... As for Oher, it has to be tough, never knowing if a team wants you for you, or they are hoping Sandy will show up at practices!
  19. McCown may or may not be marginally better than Cassel...but even had he signed in Buffalo, neither guy would be the long term answer...and I am not sure either is a huge upgrade over Orton. We need EJ or Tyrod Taylor to step up, or we are simply marking time for another year, at QB.
  20. What he said! I am not 100% convinced either way, who is/was better, Jordan or James...they are both amazing players. I am 100% certain James takes way too much ****...and I admit, when he dumped Cleveland for Miami, I hated him as much as anyone...but his return to Cleveland gave me tremendous respect for him. He did something that almost no athlete, particularly one of his stature, would do, in this day and age. He has definitely had some PR miscues over the years, but most of them have come from issues of maturity, rather than character. He's a fantastic athlete, an amazing basketball player, and a pretty good kid too...
  21. I had the #1 pick in our draft last year... I picked LeSean. He didn't have a horrible year, but he wasn't great either. I can't remember the last time I got great value out of my first round pick. It seems to dog me every season...I take the guy that logic, and every fantasy "expert" says I should take, and they pretty much never produce the way they are projected to. If I have a good season, it is normally because of my later picks. Kind of sucks...in a 12 team league, if you take a QB too early, you are screwed at running back...if you take a running back in the first, you end up with a middling QB, and and a middling 2nd RB. We do the snake draft, and we don't know where we pick until about 20 minutes before the draft starts...I would so much rather pick somewhere in the 8-12 range, than the #1 pick...it is a curse...I have had it two years in a row.
  22. Most of the early rankings I have seen, have Lev Bell, or Eddie Lacey as the #1 pick overall.
  23. Along the lines of what you are saying, I think EJ has been guilty, at times, of throwing the ball worried more about getting picked off, than in completing the pass. I think that comes with over-thinking...
