  1. I can never post pictures on here...
  2. Leah Remini was super hot back in the day...
  3. Jimmy Spagnola rocks!
  4. I can hear Nevarath saying "Cribbs on the carry" so clear in my head...almost like I am there.
  5. For me, it was always the echo of Danny Neavarath's voice echoing through the air, and the smell of stale beer and hot dogs...haven't had season tickets since the 80's...I have been to about 20 or so since then. I realize, Neavarath is gone, but that is what I always think about when I watch games... for me, some of the very best days of my life were spent at Rich...
  6. Deadwood is worthy....if you want to try something current, I think "Rectify" is the best show that nobody ever mentions.
  7. I have a bunch of jerseys...though haven't purchased one in a few years...mainly because I find them pretty uncomfortable to wear (I gotta fat neck!), and I look like a sack of potatoes in them... Check out this roster: Jim Kelly (road SB XXV jersey) Jim Kelly (Houston Gamblers black) Bruce Smith (road) Bryce Paup (home) Chris Spielman (home) Joe Cribbs (home jersey) Ted Washington (road) Eric Moulds (home- ugly era) #34 (no name- blue home jersey- Thurman?) Drew Bledsoe (home and away) Lee Evans (home) Peerless Price (road) Terrance McGee (road) Donte Whitner (road) Donte Whitner #36 (home) Kavika Mitchell (home) The only one I have worn in the last 3 or 4 years is the Spileman, cuz it is the most comfortable (Puma were the best!)
  8. Wow...you had/have an incredible knack for picking winners! If you think about it, that is what will happen to pretty much every player.
  9. Not that it means much (ok, anything), but last season in my "big money" fantasy league, I had the #1 overall pick. Because of that, I paid a bit more attention to him than I might have otherwise (I hate the Philadelphia Eagles, always have!). I DVR'd an ESPN E:60 football special last summer, that had a feature story, on Marquise Goodwin. It just so happened, it also had a profile of LeSean. He really did come off as a guy with an ego, but, for whatever reason, even then, I felt like he was one of those guys who would "grow up" along the way.
  10. Travis Henry was a tool....but a great player!
  11. Motion denied! How can you appreciate how good you have it, when you forget about how bad it was? No way...you can't ignore history..those ugly things are part of our history. And, as bad as the overall produce was (is?) during that time, there were still some pretty good Bills football players during those years... Takeo Spikes, London Fletcher, Nate Clements, Antoine Winfield....and one of my all-time favorite Bills, Lee Evans.
  12. Ugly knockoff "authenic" Whitner, road white from the butt ugly uniform years...and a Whitner #36 home jersey, his original number. That one was only $5.99 at Lux!
  13. Thanks for the link.
  14. When Brown has had a chance to play, he has been productive...can't produce if you don't play.
  15. At the time they dealt for Brown though, they didn't know what kind of season Spiller was about to have. The Brown trade, in my opinion I guess, was our GM doing some due diligence. He knew how much he wanted to spend on running backs..if Spiller had a great season (which Whaley likely anticipated) he would likely be out of the Bills allotted price range. The fact that he had a disappointing, albeit injury plagued season, but still wasn't accepting the Bills initial offer (which, as I recall was about the same for what he settled for in New Orleans), has to tell you something too. Don't forget, the Bills had been trying to re-sign Spiller, and weren't having any luck. At that time too, though Mr Wilson had already passed away, the Bills ownership situation was in flux, and the Bills were still operating under the old ownerships monetary structure. The fact that people are crying about losing a 4th round pick for what was potentially a solid NFL veteran running back is pretty silly... things must be going pretty well. Not saying I disagree with you... but that is another topic for another thread I suppose. The Bills apparently liked CJ, Fred and Brown... but not as much as they like McCoy.
  16. I meant, that nobody anticipated him being available. He wasn't slated to become a free agent, and he hadn't been dangled as trade bait for months, as often happens. According to Whaley and Pegula, the Bills were offered McCoy, and 30 minutes later they had a deal. That is what I meant by "fall into their laps". I am not arguing the merits of what they traded for McCoy...the topic was Bryce Brown. BTW- There was one of those stat geeks on John Murphy this past week, from Walter Football I think...he suggested that the stats show that our running game woes, in large part, were due to the ineffectiveness of our running backs, as opposed to the popular notion that our line didn't block well for them. Not saying I agree, or would even feel qualified to make that assessment, but that notion is out there...
  17. On top of that, when they made the trade for Brown, there was no way they could have anticipated McCoy falling into their lap. Fumbling issues aside, I think there is (or was maybe) a fair number of people out there that felt that Brown is a better than average running back. If we hadn't landed McCoy, most here would still be counting on Brown as a guy who could potentially have a big year for us, and a great option to replace Spiller, at a decent price.
  18. That is the only part of the new rules that I like... the defense can actually score points on an errant play! That could make for some excitement. I realize that the NFL has never been a very sentimental league (compared to MLB or the NHL) when it comes to its' past, but I guess I just don't like when they mess with things so much that it changes the perspective on stats from era to era. Alex Carrington ("megahand" as somebody called him here) was on John Murphy last week... they were talking about his penchant for blocking kicks on PAT and FG's. He said he developed this "talent" as a kid trying to make an NFL roster, when he realized that guys just don't go "all out" on kicking plays..he figured if he did, he was bound to make an impact.
  19. I agree, they have some talent, but I still think they might be another head-coach away from really doing anything....
  20. I remember when he held a similar position with the Chiefs (maybe the same program) he said that he didn't want to do it in Buffalo because he was afraid that it would morph into something where he was just "ex-Bill Andre Reed returns home" and it would distract from his goals of learning. I guess things have changed. I wonder if it has anything to do with Marrone not making the Super Bowl Bills players feeling overly welcome... or maybe he figures, "hey, maybe being Andre Reed returning to Buffalo" isn't the worst thing!
  21. Sounds like something you would say!
  22. He who smelt it, dealt it...
