  1. I remember when they played the show at Rich, in 1981. The Dead played at the Aud the night before... my buddy and I sat through their 4 hour show, and then headed straight from the Aud, out to Rich Stadium to get in queue for the Stones...much different times then...it was a blast...can't imagine doing that now... And the beauty of it is, you don't have to go if you don't want to... Well... that is as much speculation on your part as people saying they will play the whole Sticky Fingers album. You are likely right, but wouldn't it be amazing if they had Mick Taylor on stage with them, for all of the Sticky Fingers songs? Just a pipe dream, I know... btw- they have done some of the "non-hit" tunes from Sticky Fingers on stage over the last few tours...when they played Austin in 2007, they rehearsed "Sway" (you could hear it all over the city)...it didn't make the final cut for the Austin show, but I understand they did it at some other shows since... Keith has also said, a few times over the recent tours that they were having a blast playing songs live that they had never played before, almost having to re-learn them. As much as anything, I think the Stones, in their 70's, are more conscious of giving the fans what they want these days, than they were in their younger days. I think they know the end is near...
  2. Agreed...everything I have seen him do since Breaking Bad ended, seems like he is playing a Jesse Pinkman-esque caricature... he did that "speed" movie, which I have admittedly not seen...but it didn't look to be a real stretch for him as an actor. I kind of think it is cool when these people recognize how good something they were involved with really was, and how, really, fortunate they were to have been asked. I think Cranston, for example, is a really good actor...he is doing everything these days, but isn't too big, or full of himself, to re-create Walter White for a well done ad, or something. It is just fun. Two of my favorite tv shows ever, Star Trek (the original) and the Sopranos starred really talented actors (Nimoy and Gandolfini respectively) who seemed to really struggle, for a good part of their lives, being associated with their iconic roles. Nimoy came around to it eventually...Gandofini never had the chance. Never seen it...it looks bad. But I think it has done pretty well in the ratitngs, for a "free tv" network show...
  3. Norris seems to be the one cast member that doesn't want to bask in the "Breaking Bad" light. I have heard him say a few things, since it ended, making it sound like he has a "been there, done that" kind of attitude toward the show. Too bad, because you would think, beyond Gus Fring, Hank would be the other character from the original show, that could most easily worked into plots on "Better Call Saul". As I recall, the first time Saul and Hank met on "Breaking Bad" it seemed to establish that they had previous run-ins with one another.... who knows though, maybe when "Under the Dome" (or whatever his new show is called) gets cancelled, he will be interested again...
  4. The only thing that could make this tank thing more distasteful, is failing at it.
  5. I believe early on, there was mention of the Hank & Marie spin-off show...but Dean Norris had no interest in it.
  6. What a !@#$ing !@#$.
  7. I'd take crazy Cam Newton in a heartbeat!
  8. Painfully un-pretentious!
  9. St John Fisher, by all means. It is an awesome set up.
  10. Anyone have any idea about what we are talking about for ticket prices yet?
  11. Are they going to have reserved seats? Seems like every other show I have been to at the Ralph (when it was still Rich Stadium) was "every man for himself"
  12. Heard it mentioned somewhere....this is very unlikely to happen. The first Sunday of the regular season falls on rosh Hashanah...the last time this occurred, the NFL get a lot of **** for scheduling a New York game for that day. Perhaps, they would have the Jets in Buffalo, on Monday night? I think one NY team will be on Thursday or Monday night, and the other will be on the road opening week.
  13. I think I am done with this show. I thought the finale was pretty awful, and no way am I devoting more time to this "franchise". Should have stopped watching after season 3 or so... I made the same mistake with "Dexter", which was, at least, fun to watch for a while...
  14. Yes...Cribbs at #4, behind Simpson, Gilchrist and Thomas. People always forget about Cribbs, or all they remember is him going to the USFL. He was a fantastic football player. Yep..they just didn't have a fun name like the "Electric Company" did. Make no mistake though, as great as Kelly, Thomas and Reed were, that O-line was a huge part of their success in the early 90's.
  15. I think the Bills are in good shape at WR, already. Not sure why they feel the need to add another vet. I suppose they might want a bigger, physical type, like they tried with Mike Williams. But, this offense is worlds different than it was last season...new coaches, new skill position guys across the board... I know, Goodwin has had a hard time staying healthy, but I also think, when healthy, he has shown some abilities. I would like to see what they can do with him.
  16. Every time I go see this guy play live, he leaves me smiling, and in awe...he's got much wankier stuff, but I know the tolerance level for some of this stuff is small....the classic "Pipeline" on the guit-steel!
  17. I think too, many here were dreaming of a Revis/Gilmore backfield... people seem pretty mixed on Leodis. I often see people here writing him off, saying we should cut, or trade him. I think they are nuts. If he plays this coming season, like he did in Pettines' defense (really Rex's defense) in 2013, I think Gimore/McKelvin will be just fine. Leodis has no problem covering, but he has struggled at times to make plays on the ball... by that, I don't necessarily mean making interceptions, but simply knocking the ball away...he has improved substantially in the last two seasons. We all seem to know, or accept, that not every great Quarterback comes to the pros, game-ready. We should probably extend the same patience to corners... very likely the second hardest position to transition from college to the pros.
  18. I feel kind of the same way. Hard not to be excited by the moves this off-season, but in the back of my mind, I wonder how many of these moves are Whaley, and how many are Rex. Rex certainly seems to have a lot more control over the roster than Marrone did. The fact that, as far as we know, the Pegulas are still open to the idea of a "football guru" to look over personnel decisions (the GM's job) tells me that Doug Whaley might not be embedded into that job, necessarily. It almost seems like Rex is the co-GM... if they don't make the playoffs this year, or have a damn good season at least, I can see Whaley being out. Not condoning it mind you...I like the guy a lot. Of course, the infusion of so much money is the new element which makes it hard to know for certain who is calling what shots... we haven't really experienced this before.
  19. Right? But lets' not jinx ourselves...we haven't even had the draft yet!
  20. Dibs, I think he really showed "elite" skills down the stretch this last season, say most of the last half of the season. It was a pretty noticeable improvement, in my opinion. In fact, last night, on NFL Network (for whatever that is worth) they were arguing if Revis/Cromartie were the best DB tandem in the league...Eric Davis, a corner himself at one time, argued that while they might have a slight edge because of Revis, he mentioned Gilmore and McKelvin as "not far behind", and really seemed impressed with Gilmore. Not that I think he was wrong (and the nob he was "arguing with" seemed to agree about Gilmore), it was just odd to hear somebody nationally, saying it. Observers are starting to notice him... Of course, in 2013, personally, I thought Leodis had taken a huge step toward that elite status, finally...but then he fell off a bit in 2014. Most of that could be contributed to injuries suffered throughout the year across the secondary...
  21. All of Peterson's problems were created by he, himself.
  22. It wouldn't have mattered if they "stood by him" or not...Goodall was going to suspend him regardless.
  23. Right. Dallas would have to cut some salaries to add Adriane Peterson, and they are taking a beating (no pun intended) for signing Greg Hardy. Peterson is a douche...if he wants out so bad (for a situation that he created), they should ship him to Jacksonville.
  24. They already made the official announcement that this game was Oct. 25th...people have already buying tickets for it. And, the London game, from what I understand, will be considered a Jags home game...the Bills still get their 8 games! Don't be so sure about that. I heard Peter King on PFT yesterday, saying that the main thing holding back the NFL from expanding the playoffs to 14 teams, and/or the regular season to 18 games, was the sponsors (Budweiser, GMC, etc etc , and consequently the networks who are not getting the viewers they once did, feeling a little maxed out by the addition of the college football playoff games...they don't have un-limited funds for all this stuff... the NFL will likely torture them the next few years...
