Wawrow: for you! Ranking 149 Replacements songs!
Buftex replied to Buftex's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I saw them (twice) at the ACL festival last fall...they were great, despite the ****ty setting. -
He is very affable and likeable, for a nut-job. Everyone likes him, until he starts talking. Once that happens...all bets are off. http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2015/05/mike-huckabee-first-campaign-elizabeth-taylor-2016

Rolling Stones at the Ralph concert thread
Buftex replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
All the age bull **** aside, they are playing better live now, over the last couple of tours, than they have in decades. Check out the Sweet Summer Rain flick from 2013...they sound terrific...first time I saw them was in 1978, the Some Girls tour...seen them 7 other times since...better each time. Back in the late 70's they may have looked more the part, but they played every song at 90 miles an hour, and frankly, sounded like crap a lot of the time. Now, in my opinion, they give their amazing catalog of songs (which they delve far deeper into than when they were a little younger) the proper treatment it deserves. -
Oh yeah, knew I was forgetting somebody... Mario, Kyle, Dareus and McCoy...possibly Hughes.

Mario, Kyle and McCoy

Even before the McCoy trade, I have never liked Chip Kelly. That said, while I like Florio for entertainment purposes, he likes to throw stuff against the wall, to see what sticks. I could definitely see McCoy leaving the Eagles after this coming season...unless they win, and win bigger than they did last year, he is going to be in a messy situation in Philadelphia. I could see him high-tailing it back to college, easily.

James Jones had a pretty decent season with the Raiders last year. If Whaley still wants to add a vet receiver, we could do worse. Just seems to me, things are getting pretty crowded at that position.

Polian critical of Bills not drafting a QB
Buftex replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On the "Caught in the Draft 1985" episode, Polian gives credit to Ralph Wilson for getting Kelly in Buffalo. Polian, it seems, was very tempted to pull the trigger on a trade that the Raiders had proposed...Ralph would have none of it. -

Not to mention a busted up back, knee injury...and more than one pretty nasty concussion. -
Polian critical of Bills not drafting a QB

Exactly. I have been hearing the Bills draft getting slammed, for the last few days, primarily because they didn't draft a long-shot QB. Its' like there is the NFL Draft, which has taken on a separate life of its' own, and then there is the actual NFL. Some of these guys, these experts, just lose their perspective, as they try (too hard) to make the NFL draft more than it is. I am a little surprised that Polian, who has been around, can't see the trees through the forest. From my own perspective, I know little about any of the guys we drafted, but I put a lot more faith in Whaely & co, to know what this team needs, and what we have...I wonder if Polian really believes that any of the 5 QB's drafted after the first round really has a better chance of contributing to this team than Manuel or Taylor do. No way they are cutting Cassel. I suppose it is possible to believe that, and maybe Polian really just does not see anything at all in Manuel. But I trust our personal staff to make the judgment before I truest one of the 975 "draftniks" or "draft experts" out there to make that call...most of these guys, are just basing their opinions on what others are saying and writing...you know, like we do here? -

Which one is Cassel? Third from the left? What a complete anti-Rex move! -
kelly doesnt shake lavar arringtons hand.......
Buftex replied to kelsay2sackseason's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As I recall, Jim Kelly had a miserable first half to his 1996 season, and did look way past his prime....but he rebounded in the second half, and was one of the top 3 rated QB's over the second half of that season...but it all came crashing down in that playoff game against the Jaguars. In reality, Bruce Smith was really the only one of our HOF'ers who was playing at a consistently high level week in week out...but the offensive guys could really turn it on from time to time... -

Sofia is so hot! Did anyone see this...it is one of the funniest things I have seen in a while... Amy Schumer, Tina Fey and Patricia Arquette help Julia Louis- Dreyfus celebrate her "Last !@#$-able Day": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPpsI8mWKmg BTW- Julia Lous-Dreyfus gets better looking with age (and probably a little surgery), IMO! -

Arrington is kind of a tool, but I think, in general, he is pretty positive about the Bills. When they got McCoy, he was pretty hyped up about the Bills, as much as he was down on Kelly (Chip) for making the trade. If there are issues between him and Kelly (Jim) they likely don't have anything to do with the Bills. -
Could Rex be trying to add to any potential trade value that he has? He isn't just a fast guy...there are a lot of those in the league....he is a fast guy with good hands....those are a little harder to find...but that durability thing is his biggest con...I agree with you, he is a long-shot to make the squad. It seems the Bills are going to let at least one decent WR go this summer...why not try to get something, anything, for him? You know, the season before (2013), when he did play, I am pretty sure, he didn't finish a single game where he caught a pass, un-injured.
