  1. I'm not having trouble listening on a MacBook. People (including myself) have had a lot of trouble with the site for a while now. It seems to be intermittent.
  2. What are you doing here? You are supposed to be over at Billsenthusiast's new site.
  3. In my opinion he became too much of a clown/joke show for Pegula's taste and he didn't like the way he represented the franchise. That also directly relates to why Pegula fell in love with the "faith base winner" Sean McDermott. He is the exact opposite of Rex Ryan. Very conservative, serious, over-achieving, disciplinarian type with no sense of humor. He is the anti-Rex. If you understand why Pegula loves McDermott, you'll also understand why he fired Rex.
  4. Yeah but let's draft a run stuffing DT with the #3 overall pick in next year's draft! That's how you win football games!
  5. You know what is sad? The fact that TSW doesn't call the shots and yet the "professionals" who do have given us what we all know as the Buffalo Bills. No playoff wins in 23 years, last division title in 1995, a revolving door of garbage QB talent, and a current record of 2-7. You can argue that a democratic vote at TSW would be an improvement. It can't be much worse.
  6. PLEASE FORM A BILLS BOOSTER CLUB and take everyone like you with you to your new site. PLEASE. You'll be so much happier!
  7. The real ship that needs to be righted is Josh Allen. And that ship is sinking. It's just started to take on water, so no one really notices that the water line is rising right now. Wait until we are, say, 6 games into next year. The clamoring for a QB and regime change will be deafening. Yes, I know, you don't have to believe this today. Just wait a while and report back then.
  8. They haven't. Only in the eyes of some delusional fans do they have until 2020. I suspect a lot of these posters are not Sabres fans and do not closely follow that team. If Pegula decides its time to end this experiment with McBeane, they'll be gone, and it will probably happen sooner than people think and at a time which surprises. These fans also don't like to objectively analyze who Josh Allen is. He will flame out and we are not going to see much progress into next season. At a certain point, everyone will lose patience, especially the fans. When next year really doesn't make anything better, McBeane will be gone and we'll be looking for a new QB. This regime doesn't even see the 2020 season, let alone the end of it. At this point, it's just a question of whether or not Pegula wants to proactively get out in front of this thing now or at season's end, or if he wants to burn another year. As to which he will do, I don't know.
  9. I wouldn't say "cry". I'd say it's a place for the two main types of Bills fans to come and argue with one another while accomplishing very little. I would love to this forum bifurcated into two camps: those who think this forum should be a cheering ground as part of a Bills Booster Club, and those who want to objectively discuss what's going on with the team at any point in time, be it good, bad, or ugly. If we could just get those 2 groups to separate, everyone would be a lot happier.
  10. Joe, change your name to joefivepack. You're 1 beer short of a full pack.
  11. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I think it is possible McBeane are let go this year or at year's end if, and it' a big "IF", if Pegula becomes embarrassed by our situation especially amongst his fellow owners. It would have to be an unplanned thing with the situation blowing up much worse, perhaps, than Pegula planned for. Shortly before he was fired by Pegula, Darcy Regier's contract was extended multiple years. Everyone at that time in Sabres Land was saying the same thing, that Darcy is going nowhere...and that all seemed to make sense. Right up until the day when, out of nowhere, Pegula fired his ass. Could/would Pegula do something like that with McBeane? Has he learned and changed such that he would NOT do it, even if compelled to? Does he think this season is going 100% perfectly according to plan so no big deal? I don't know.
  12. He's suggesting maybe that's the case as Shady's running has been garbage since the concussion and he is shying away from contact and running with zero intensity. I.E., his play is doing the talking for him. I think it's possible he wants out, for sure. Why not? He is 100% an individualist more concerned with his personal career than the notion of "team" and regardless, he has been around the block enough to know things aren't going to get a hell of a lot better here soon. And the clock is ticking. No need to play yourself off the team if your agent can just get you traded, but maybe that hasn't been working. Maybe he expressed an interest already in being traded and thought he was going to go at the deadline...and when he didn't, his spirit was broken. All these things are possible. From my perspective as a Bills fan, who cares. I care about the Bills, not Shady or any individual named player. He is going to be gone before we are good again so really, he doesn't matter much. It's also why I wanted him traded at the deadline, especially if the rumors were true that teams were lining up with interest in acquiring him.
  13. If Allen doesn't play, we aren't beating any team in this league. If he does play, he's still terrible and we will struggle like hell to beat the Jets. Darnold has been praised by many so far this year as separating from the rest of the pack of young QBs. He had a rough game Sunday but he is showing next-level stuff you would expect of a 4th or 5th year player.
  14. For one, he is, statistically, the best protector of the ball the NFL has ever seen at the QB position. It's the only reason why we made the playoffs last year, and even then only by the skin of our teeth. We were a reasonably middling to bad team with a decent negative point differential but we had the best protector of the ball all time as our QB. On top of that, we went on a freakish run of takeaways for the early-mid phase of the season. It's the only reason we won the # of games we did and why we were a leading regression candidate for this season, as Tyrod was gone and the odds hugely suggested we couldn't replicate the same takeaway rate again.
  15. Herbert looks f-ing fantastic, if he comes out. Now folks are saying he may not. I'd draft him in a heartbeat if I could. We did the same thing last year with Allen, just not as egregiously.
  16. For what it's worth, this topic was brought up by a caller in the WGR-550 post game show, and Schopp and Bulldog entertained it for a while, both dismissing any thought of the team as formally "tanking" as being ridiculous. I.E., there was no planned component of this season being bad in this manner. In their opinions, of course. [Cue the haters mentioning that they hate gr-55, the show is unlistenable, and Mike Schopp knows nothing about anything; throw in something about Jerry Sullivan too; and TBN, even though Sullivan no longer work there; why not]
  17. I don't see them making a serious run at Bradford. "Resign" as what? A fan?
  18. Although certainly possible, I'll be surprised if Peterman is cut this year. He is McDermott's boy, he's made it this far, he's been in the system a while and knows the playbook, and he is increasingly becoming a known commodity which makes him somewhat safe despite the TOs, and McDermott is risk averse.
  19. We don't know that Schopp got his pee pee slapped, as you put it. We do know he missed about half of the hour and when he returned, he said "Where were we?" and Bulldog just laughed. He may have initiated the contact with McD which was my theory at the time. Regardless, we don't really know what happened. Regarding AJ: what does his trade have to do with Peterman? Why is it not possible, hypothetically, to trade AJ despite his faith, but retain Nate in part because of his faith? Your argument isn't valid. The issue is not why did AJ get traded, the issue is what on Earth does McDermott see in Nate. Hopefully Schopp will make good on his boast to ask about this. If it leads to a heated situation and McD hangs up on him or something dramatic again, all the better! Actually, it was "faith based winner" but the winner/leader distinction is not the important part. It was when Terry introduced him at the PC announcing him as new HC. About 3:50 in this video. By the way, just watching this again, I can't help but note how unimpressive Pegula is! LOL. I find your comments insulting. Please feel free to not participate here. Thanks.
  20. Probably something like "To God be the glory," combined with the secret born again voodoo handshake.
  21. Not only is this pure speculation, it's illogical, totally unfounded speculation. What is Beane's motive for backstabbing his buddy (who got him the GM gig in the first place) and ousting him from the organization? Is the OP suggesting Beane sees the writing on the wall and is trying to save his own skin by pushing McD out the door while he retains his job as GM or what? I just don't see this at all.
  22. A debate regarding the relative merits of Tyrod vs. Nate! If this organization isn't currently at rock bottom, it has to be pretty damned close.
  23. Why do you and your ilk write this constantly and seemingly revel in it? Are you a Bills fan? Are you interested in seeing the Bills become a good team that wins games? Why do you direct anger at your fellow Bills fans and posters at this forum but not at the organization that actually constructed and fielded the team that is the laughing stock of the league?
