  1. Two segments ago, Schopp started the conversation by asking McDermott what he sees in Nate Peterman that no one else does. That set the tone for an awkward segment that culminated in McD hanging up on Schopp a bit prematurely without saying goodbye. You have to define what being a good owner means in order for that statement to have meaning.
  2. So there's no room for a discussion about McDermott's faith as the HC and how that might play into his managerial style according to you? Do you really think Mike Schopp is going to phrase a question so that a truthful answer would must indict McDermott? There's no room for discussion here? Come on, man. I am quite sure McD has a huge ego and further, is probably the type of guy who thinks there is 1 right way to do everything, and that's his way. And in that sense, you aren't going to persuade him to see something from a new perspective. There are zillions of people like that in the world. That doesn't mean his faith doesn't creep into his coaching of the team or his stance on Peterman. Whether it is a function of his conscious or subconscious mind, I'm sure he "clicks" with players of a similar faith-based world view. It was Bulldog, actually, who reminded me the other day that Pegula introduced/referenced McDermott as a "faith based leader" when he joined the organization. The relevant question here is this: does Mcdermott value religious faith or a Judeo-Christian code of morality above athletic talent in making player evaluations and roster formulation? If he does, the fans deserve to know.
  3. Meanwhile, back at the good end of the league, NO and the Rams have scored a combined 5 TDs already, with 7.5 minutes left in the second quarter!
  4. Mike Schopp and the Bulldog right now on the post-game show are discussing the allegations that McDermott favors faith-based players and this could be a factor in keeping Peterman on the roster. Schopp just said that he doesn't know one way or the other if there is any truth to this line of thinking, but that it is a good question for McDermott. He basically indicated that he will be asking him about this on his show tomorrow. That could be entertaining, interesting, and it makes the segment worth listening to. Stay tuned to this space for more.
  5. Team wins aren't a very relevant statistic for evaluating a QB's performance, but it's OK. We can disagree.
  6. Looking at the scores last year and this year, and trying to be fair with it, I have 5 blowouts last year, and 5 so far this year. That's 10 blowouts in 25 regular season games for his career. That's a 40% blowout percentage. Every 2 of 5 games McD coaches is a blowout.
  7. This is the key. Stability/consistency is only helpful if the people you keep in place are competent. If they aren't, you end up with the Marvin Lewis Effect in Cincinnati, and no one wants that.
  8. If they were really going to go with a scapegoat firing, Daboll would be the obvious choice. Wouldn't he?
  9. Shady's thinking "I need to have me another women only party at the house." They can believe in him all they want. It ain't gonna help.
  10. This post I'm quoting from Jrober38 was written a month ago. It was all true then and it's all true now.
  11. Yes, there is a positive takeaway! 3 games ago we scored 5 points. 2 games ago we scored 6 points. I predicted we would score 7 points today, and we actually scored 9. That's progress and it exceeded my expectations.
  12. You're free to go live your life and not participate here. Did you know that?
  13. For every 5.5 or so passes he completes, he throws 1 pick. That is amazing. That's true but it's more fun to ignore that! (being serious).
  14. then why the hell didn't we trade him when we had "multiple teams" asking about him on draft deadline day! Stupid.
  15. How many blowouts is this for McD now? It's getting up there.
