My condolences Chef Jim. I lost my father in 2003. When I was a really little kid, my dad took me to the children's public swimming pool where the T of Tonawanda aquatic and fitness center now is on Sheridan Drive. He wanted me to get over the fear of going down the slide, and bribed me to do it with the promise of a cap gun I wanted! (LOL). So I walked up the ladder no problem, sat at the top, and he was telling me "You can do it" and all that...I was super scared, chickened out, and came back down the ladder. LOL! He laughed and said "maybe next time," and bought me the gun on the ride home anyway.

Yes, without question, our main problem this season is McDermott allowing the media to influence his team-related decisions. That, and we haven't been able to get enough momentum. Oh, and the team just doesn't want it badly enough. LOL. WTF is wrong with people?

The more one supports Daboll in the context of this discussion, the more one is also admitting that our quarterbacks, including Allen, just aren't very good.

The Fred Jackson Stiff Arm ?
Fadingpain replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As I wrote at the time this unfolded in the game-day thread, this was just TOTAL DOMINATION by Fred! He knocked him down and went over him. Buldozer, steam roller, snowplow...whatever you want to call it. -

It already is over, except in Buffalo. -

How bad are we making our receivers look???
Fadingpain replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A successful passing game is 90% QB, 10% receiver. Lots of folks around here don't get that. -

Cynthia Frelund: Projected Final Win Totals for 2018
Fadingpain replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Allen doesn't come back, we may well not win another game this year. Unfortunately we already have 2, so we can only sink so far... But would love to see us pick #1, 2, or 3. -
Jimmy Kimmel shames Bills fan's sign
Fadingpain replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I noted that guy and his sign when it aired live, and thought "look at that idiot's sign...who is going to see that?" Ironically people did see it b/c of the close-up but still, that sign sucks. Well intentioned though! -
Look at the bright side of all this

12. Home game tickets can be had on the secondary market for less than the cost of a beer and hot dog. 13. You'll be able to buy the cheapest seat in the house for the December home games and move to the best seat in the house for free. -

One of my favorite all time "candy bars". -
I have seen them play and thought Trubisky looked pretty good. D is their strength no doubt. They have blossomed into a good team in a short period of time and I would put them in the "better" group of teams we have played so far this year. Should be a rough day.

I think I do recall the scene now that you remind me. A show with this much complexity though can be enjoyed a second time IMO. There's so much going on all the time I tend not to remember what's going to happen next in any one particular episode, especially if it's been years since you watched it. Another candidate for this, at least for me, would be "LOST." I've seen every episode of that too, but it was hard to follow even when I was binge watching at times. Could definitely watch that a second time and not really know what was about to happen next for much of it. Just read about that episode at Wikipedia; now I remember it. Didn't know which one it was at first. From Wikipedia: "Fly" was produced as a result of the series' considerable budgetary restrictions and being unable to afford the $25,000–$35,000 needed to move the production trucks to a new location.[1] Series creator Vince Gilligan remarked: "We were hopelessly over budget ... And we needed to come up with what is called a bottle episode, set in one location."

‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel

If it's being produced by the same GOT people, I have to assume it will be just as good. Which means this is the most exciting thing I've read in a long time. Thanks Shady for the update! I say it all the time, but if people are NOT watching GOT b/c you're not into the subject matter, you're screwing yourself out of one of the best TV series of all time. -
You been there? Reykjavik is a cool place. Not as boring as you say.
