  1. He reminds me of Brent Grimes, but has Brent Grimes' wife's attitude. He's a small corner who can still make plays. I'd absolutely take the risk on him in the 4th/5th. Any sooner then I say no.
  2. I call him terrible to go the exact opposite of those who mentioned him in the same breath as Jim Kelly above and a few others. He's not a good pro prospect, but he's got potential as a good backup and/or a long-term project. We don't have that convenience. Glennon can make ANY throw. ANY throw you want him to make, he can make it. I'm not saying he WILL make it EVERY time, but he's completely capable. He worked with some of the worst talent I've ever seen at the D-1 level from the WR position this season and still excelled. He's clutch. He made a lot of big throws and led an NC State team to wins when they shouldn't have been winning. He's got GREAT pocket awareness. Outside-the-pocket mobility wise, I'd put him near the bottom of the starters group around someone like Matt Ryan, but his in-pocket mobility is phenomenal.
  3. Anybody that has watched him play and knows what they're talking about know that he's terrible. He excels when putting zip on the ball across the middle. That's it. He can't make throws along the sidelines. He sails the ball on a lot of throws. I wouldn't touch him before the fourth.
  4. Would be a fantastic game. Falcons have always been my 2nd team, so I'm still rooting for them now. Obviously don't have much passion for them so it won't feel anywhere near a Bills championship, but still nice to see them win.
  5. The best spot for this is right here: http://nyjetscap.com/Bills/bills2013.php You will not find a better spot because it tells you everything you need to know. To be clear: Prorated bonus column is something they're due at some point during the offseason if they're still on the roster at that point, cap value is what they will count against the cap if they are on the roster in 2013, dead money is what they will count against the cap if they are cut in the offseason, and the "cap saving" number is how much money that the Bills would save by cutting them before all bonuses are due. If the cap savings number is in parenthesis then it would actually COST the Bills that much against the cap if that player were cut this offseason. The ONLY mistake I've found on this page is that Mario's number is supposed to be in parenthesis.
  6. In a perfect world, Stevie Johnson is your number two receiver. If we brought in somebody on an equal level or just above Stevie then we would have a perfect WR corps. I'd like to pick up our QB at 8, then either trade back up into the first for one of Hunter/Williams/Allen or pick one of the many that will be there in round two. Then defense heavy all the way. If he doesn't come CRAZY expensive, Dwayne Bowe would be a perfect fit in our WR corps.
  7. Murray is staying in school... And it's Aaron Murray. In my opinion, if we come out of this draft with one of Smith, Glennon, Wilson Barkley or MAYBE Nassib (he's the only one of the group I'm very iffy on), then we've done well at the QB position. No, I'm not saying all of those guys will be great or even good pros, but I think they're all good prospects. Just have to figure out which one is OUR guy and get him.
  8. I was going with what you were saying, and respecting your opinion... Until you said you'd take Collin Klein is above Glennon for you. Collin Klein has ZERO NFL future as a QB. He likely won't even be drafted... And Barkley didn't play in a bowl game. Whoever said that if we had Peyton Manning we would've made the playoffs is absolutely right. This team is a playoff team with Peyton Manning on board. But he's wrong about the second one. If we added Megatron, JJ Watt etc. we would be a playoff team as well.
  9. Before you make another comment about Geno Smith, please education yourself. He played in bad weather consistently in West Virginia. Just because you watched a bowl game doesn't mean you have wisdom on a player.
  10. It took me a while to figure out why you said "Whix"
  11. No specific threads are needed for things like this. At the end of every year/era you can just go back and find threads announcing the hires and see what people think about them.
  12. I have so many problems with this. 1. These voters are so full of themselves, it's obnoxious. They create new criteria every season. And did you notice how many ballots were public this year and how they all boasted their reasons? NOBODY cares why you didn't put somebody on the ballot. We know that it's because steroids. Get over yourselves. 2. Stop talking about this "first-ballot hall of famer" crap. You're either a hall of famer or you're not. If somebody is a hall of famer, then vote them in as soon as possible. Giving this crazy criteria about first-balloters is what creates logjams later on where you get diluted classes of too many players. 3. IT'S LITERALLY JUST A MUSEUM. It's a place for fans of the game, young and old, to go and see baseball history. Why would it make sense for them to go there and not see the greatest statistical hitter of all time or the greatest pitcher of all time? That makes no sense. Put them in. Put all of the greatest players in regardless of how they got there. If you have to note it on their plaque or somewhere in the hall, do it (ONLY if they were 100% proven to have used PEDs, so not Bonds).
  13. Minter will be a first rounder, Nassib will go in the 2nd at the latest. But getting a QB AND Minter in this draft would be a great haul.
  14. There is literally no reason to bump this thread... Unless of course you're implying that the Bills should sign Osi as a FA this offseason. Would be a good move if he doesn't want a boatload of money... which he does.
  15. None of those guys have been viewed the way Barkley has. Barkley is considered a very polished QB that started for a long time. He's only comparable to Carson Palmer. JDB was never expected to be much. Mark Sanchez started for a year.
  16. People complain about a reach at the QB position, but Amerson is a 2nd or 3rd round CORNERBACK (a position we JUST drafted in the top 10)... Good idea...
  17. He wore 12 in high school too. Only indication could be that the first number he wore at Cuse was 16.
  18. Let's spend a first rounder on a position we just spent unbelievable amounts of money on. Werner will be gone, as will Jones likely. If Jones is there, I don't want him anyways. He can't cover and he has spinal issues that will shorten his career. Moore can't cover the run. Mingo is the only one that will be there and doesn't have outstanding issues, but he's not worth the 8th pick over bigger needs.
  19. 1. It's not debatable. He's clearly the best LBer on his team. He's the best PLAYER on his team. 2. We have a HUGE need at MLB, he would fill that. He's the perfect leader. 3. He's one of the top 5 best player in the league, of course I'd add him to the roster.
  20. No chance Bowman is better than Willis. Bowman feeds off Willis' incredible play. If I had to pick ANY NFL player that isn't a quarterback to start my team with, I'd take Patrick Willis.
  21. Patrick Willis absolutely has to be on the list. He'll go down as one of the greatest to ever play his position. The dude is a complete game changer. Then I would put Calvin Johnson.
  22. Merriman is worth resigning either way as long as he comes VERY cheap. I think he offers something as a rotational guy at multiple positions in different schemes. Flexible when healthy.
  23. Wasn't a fit for us. We don't have time to groom a QB. We'll start losing guys if we don't find our guy soon. Smith, Glennon, Wilson and Barkley are still in the draft and are better than Boyd. Maybe not all better than Murray, but I think all four are better than Boyd.
