  1. Having your former starting QB in the lockerroom as a backup is cancerous. Fitz has to go.
  2. Zac Dysert is absolutely terrible. Watch some tape on him. He never makes the impressive, NFL throws. He can zip it across the middle. That's all I've seen. .He misses wide open receivers consistently. CONSISTENTLY. That's an instant red flag. I obviously like Glennon as you can see by my avatar. The misconceptions on him on these boards are insane. People say that he's just a potential guy. Just a tools guy. He's not. He's polished and proven. He has done so much at NC State with one of the worst receiving corps in the country. It's been terrible, but Glennon has still shined.
  3. This thread is obviously dependent on us being a 4-3 defense. Under the 4-3, Jarvis Jones is not a legitimate option for us, in my opinion. That's some good tape that shows why he doesn't fit. If you watch, EVERY single play in the game Jarvis Jones starts at the line of scrimmage and on almost every play he blitzes. He has a few plays in coverage, but not enough to get a read on how he plays in coverage. Also, his motor seems overrated to me. If the play isn't coming directly at him he seems to have no interest. You can bet at him being very capable of containing guys from bouncing to the outside, but he doesn't seem to be able to contain and attack the ball carrier at the same time. If he wants to make a play, he makes it. But it's like he has to make that decision first, he doesn't actually just have it on every play. Also, he has spinal issues which could be a red flag. I just don't think Jones is a fit IF we stay in the 4-3. I think he's a fantastic 3-4 guy if we do make the switch.
  4. I don't know about that. He got told by the advisory board that he's a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
  5. I don't know much about him. I've heard his name a lot, though. Will have to take a look.
  6. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... To 3-4 teams, Jarvis Jones is gold and a top 10 pick. To us, he's a reach at 8. If he's the pick, I'd welcome him with open arms, but I'm not convinced that he's the right guy for us. Not yet. The spinal issue scares me too.
  7. Blessed to be the QB for the Dawgs, not ready to leave just yet. Time to get back to work & help lead this team to a championship#GoDawgs
  8. I'm still stuck in 2010. Keep tracking everything from there thinking that Marrone left in 2006. Would be cool to have him back in town, but Rob Moore, the WR coach at Cuse, is very good at what he does and should get the job.
  9. That's somebody I have liked but his childish attitude with the 49ers and the fact that he stated that he doesn't want to play anywhere in the NFL but with the Giants makes me confused.
  10. Just one note with Carmichael: He only coached for one year while Marrone was in New Orleans, so it doesn't mean they know each other well.
  11. I'm new here, is this guy one of the resident trolls? Or is he just stupid?
  12. I've always thought that each team should play one neutral-site preseason game (like the NBA does except with less games). That would be a good option.
  13. Chip Kelly will probably stay at Oregon, but I get what you're saying.
  14. Jackson has no motivation to join us now. He'll likely get the Cincy job one Jay Gruden takes a job in Cleveland, Arizona or Philly (as I suspect he will).
  15. It makes it more likely that we resign Levitre in my opinion. Marrone has always preached that you can't live without great lineman. CJ will get his carries now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us bring in a big bruiser back. He worked with Payton in NO who really likes to have 3 guys that can carry the rock. Martin is most likely a goner. We might grab a guy like Alec Lemon in the later rounds.
  16. Nobody said he's married to Nassib. He coached Greg Paulus, does that mean he's the next QB of the Bills?
  17. .500 at a school that was 10-37 in the previous four years before him... You need to bump this thread after two minutes from the last reply. Settle down.
  18. He's still under contract in AZ and has no reason to leave unless it's a HC gig. HC: Marrone OC: Pete Carmichael DC: Lovie (not going to happen, so i'm not sure where to look) WRs coach: Rob Moore Defensive backs coach: Gill Byrd O-line coach: Joe D'Alessandris
  19. No no no no no no NO to Gregg Williams. I don't care if he's the right guy for the job, I don't want his scumbag ass in Buffalo. Norv isn't going to take this job over others, I doubt. Lovie Smith would be the dream DC but I doubt he will come here. The only coaches I know I want is that I want us to bring back our former O-line coach, and then hire Rob Moore as our WRs coach.
  20. The amount of stupidity on this board when it comes to Levitre... Levitre is irreplaceable. I could see us bringing in Moore's brother Tob to be our WR coach, but that's about it.
  21. I was considering putting out an intricate post about how I really like the hire even if he wasn't my number one choice... but it wouldn't get read at this point in the thread ha.
