Aaron Murray faced the number one pass defense in all of college football.

While I'm REALLY high on Wilson, this is a highlight video. Of course it's going to look good... Wilson reminds me a lot of a less-gunslinging Jay Cutler. He knows how to take a hit, he can make most of the throws, he has a solid arm (not as good as Cutler's)... But he also takes a few too many shots down the field.

I liked him in Buffalo from the start, and I have to imagine we'll poke around on him at least. I think he's a better candidate than McCoy because he has at least shown that he can be a head coach in other leagues and has the kind of attitude I like in a coach. Overall, he's my number two guy behind Lovie.

Go to the Lovie Smith thread to see me point out this connection and more. Lovie Smith and Gill Byrd (Jairus' dad) have been on the same staff for five years. Gill Byrd is Lovie's assistant defensive backs coach, and would likely join Lovie in Buffalo. This would all but guarantee Byrd's return, and is another reason we need to get Lovie.

Gone by pick 8, not a fit for us. He's only rated as a top prospect because of the potential he has in a 3-4 system. He's more of a middle-of-the-first pick for a 4-3 team.

Good job, good effort. But I disagree.

He's a great player and seems to be a great man. Great emotion in this interview... But I have a serious question: Can anybody name a soft-spoken linebacker that dominated the game? All of the linebackers that have been great that I can think of are loud-mouths.

Nothing he does jumps out at you? He's got the best deep ball in this draft by a long shot. He makes a lot of tight throws with good zip on the ball. He's one of the few guys who has abilities that actually jump out to me. And as far as him being slow... a lot of very good QBs are slow. But if you watch tape on Glennon, you'll see that he's got probably the 2nd or 3rd best pocket prescience in this draft which makes up for lack of speed, and he does know where to pick his spots and gain a few yards.

Before I even opened this article I knew it'd be him.

I'm still pretty torn on Whiz, but I will say that he is a definite upgrade (as long as he doesn't want to bring in a 3-4 defensive coordinator). Well you've got potentially the right idea, but for the wrong reason. They would use Whisenhunt as a smokescreen so they could get a leg-up and steal Kelly from other teams. They would want fans to get hyped up.

We all knew Ralph is not healthy and we also know he is unhealthy. Don't see anything about Buddy having less power, so if you could show me where you're getting that that'd be cool.

Updated with Aaron Murray's stats against the number one ranked pass defense. Very impressive performances by Murray and Boyd, two guys that are expected to return to school. Their full-season statistics are also VERY close.

He's just old and out of it at this point. Too high of a cost.
