  1. I don't think Trestman would be a good hire... Have there been any coaches that went from the CFL to the NFL and had success?
  2. Will be a good game to watch for Jones. He has to be clutch and finish strong.
  3. He's got respect already all around the league, that's a big part of it.
  4. Let me just layout the MANY reasons we should hire Lovie Smith: 1. The obvious- He's a great defensive mind. We have a lot of talent and money on defense, he could help that workout. 2. He has had past success (81-63 in his career in Chicago). One SB appearance, one appearance in the NFC Champ game. 3. The Jairus Byrd connection- Byrd's father worked with Lovie in Chicago and could join Lovie in Buffalo which would lockup Jairus in Buffalo. 4. The reaction by the players in Chicago has been VERY strong with his firing, showing that Lovie has the lockerroom. 5. He could do what a lot of coaches do and bring some talent with him. Henry Melton is a FA, big time player. Brian Urlacher could potentially look somewhere for a two-year deal, he'd be a perfect stop-gap for Buffalo and he could teach the young defensive players how to play. Devin Hester could replace Mckelvin, he was PISSED today. Jason Campbell could be a good backup he brings. 6. He actually WANTS to come here. So he would be happy at his new job and confident. You need a confident coach that wants to be there.
  5. I still think the fit is perfect. Byrd's father could come with him on the staff to keep Byrd here, Lovie is a great defensive guy, he has had success before and has a strongly winning record. Just make sure you get a good offensive mind to go along with him.
  6. Said a while a go that I would like to see him in Buffalo as a change of pace, but not for the price it would cost.
  7. Can't tell if this is sarcasm, so I'll say you're welcome.
  8. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000120608/article/jon-gruden-to-chargers-predictions-for-coach-gm-openings Buffalo Bills Out: Chan Gailey My prediction: Lovie Smith. The Bills spent all that money on defense during the offseason, but the unit proved highly disappointing, ranking 22nd in total defense and 26th in scoring D. Smith can get the most out of those pricey defensive pieces. Ideally, you'd pair Smith with a strong offensive coordinator to get more consistency on that side of the ball as well. SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT WITH THIS: Jairus Byrd's father Gil was on Lovie's staff in Chicago, if he brings Gil with him that makes it much more likely that Jairus would resign here.
  9. The actual report is that Nix will not meet with Wilson, but Brandon will.
  10. I like Barkley. But he'll need to work on arm strength in order to be elite.
  11. he'd be the perfect guy to get the most out of spiller
  12. Frank Reich isn't on the staff in Arizona, he was fired today.
  13. Statistics for Glennon's game today, as well as final season statistics added for those who have completed their season.
  14. He'd be your typical Bills hire. Cheap, no competition.
  15. Glennon making a lot of nice throws, but those three INTs were absolutely terrible decisions. First was a missfire off the backfoot, second was just forced into double coverage and the third was underthrown to a bad area of the endzone.
  16. So you're going to base your evaluation of a player on about 6 plays? WOW, why hasn't an NFL team hired you yet? He's a pocket passer. He's got a big arm and has shown ability to make all the throws.
  17. TUNE INTO ESPN NOW. HUGE game for Mike Glennon going against the number 10 ranked pass defense.
  18. Which is why we need to give Byrd his money then franchise Levitre.
  19. I think I might add every players career stats. That might be a good idea.
