  1. Doug be nimble, Doug be quick, Doug is here to make winning stick. Quarterback Quarterback We still need a !@#$ing quarterback
  2. Doesn't matter how effective Mario is in the 3-4, no matter what his position is there he'll be overpaid for that position. As, I believe, Tim Graham pointed out he would be BY FAR the highest paid 3-4 DE in league history if he was there, then if you look around the league it's not hard to find that pass rushing OLB for the 3-4. If you have speed and strength then you're going to be effective.
  3. I'm hoping this means that Tyrone Wheatley and Rob Moore follow Marrone and Hackett to the NFL as RBs and WRs coaches respectively. That's all I'd want from Cuse. But I'm thinking Wheatley has a good shot at being the new OC at Cuse. Just kidding, somebody just said Shafer will go outside of the program for the new OC.
  4. I also think we had this move in mind from the start. I think we want to focus on the DC position big time.
  5. Graham confirmed, but didn't say specifically as offensive coordinator. And now he has: "Nathaniel Hackett will be the Bills' next offensive coordinator." https://twitter.com/...836703534317570
  6. That quote would support Hackett and his four years of NFL service.
  7. I just don't see any way the he comes to the Bills while downgrading his position.
  8. This would be a good hire based on the familiarity. But, for the record, ESPN reported that he's staying at Syracuse.
  9. By "ACTUAL CASH" they mean not cap space. They save the ACTUAL CASH, but his cap dollars only go down 450 grand if cut. That's still enough for me, though.
  10. A guy like Matt Moore or Tarvaris Jackson would be perfect. Both are capable of starting in the NFL while you groom a younger guy. Both have also been backups before, and are likely to accept that without a problem if the rook outshines them in camp.
  11. This is just absolutely fantastic. He has done EVERY move right so far in the process. Showed energy in the press conference, reached out to the players, reached out to the season ticket holders. This has been a fantastic hire so far, and it's only been a few days.
  12. The true, 100% breakdown of Fitz' salary situation: He's due a $3 million bonus two days after the SB that, if cut, he will not get. Then he has other bonus' and roster incentives around $7 million total that the Bills wouldn't have to pay if he's cut. No matter what, his cap hit will be $10 million at least, but only goes up to about $10.45 million if he's kept. We don't really save cap space by keeping him, but we would be keeping money that we could put in other places.
  13. Mingo, Moore and one of the others could easily be there. But we don't need another top 10 pick on a corner, or a DE in the first round.
  14. Well if you just look at it by position, the Bills have a legitimate starters at WR1, WR3, TE, RB1, RB2, FB, LT, LG, C, RG, RT, DE1, DT1, DT 2, CB1, FS, P, LS, KR. That is if the major FA are resigned. There could obviously be improvements to some of those spots, but for the most part those guys could start in multiple cities around the NFL and do at least a solid job. That leaves QB (2-3 spots), WR2, DE2, OLBx2, MLB, SS, CB2, CB3. That's really 10 holes, which is a lot. But there are guys at those positions that could potentially get better or fill the hole while we pay attention to other positions. Guys at those positions that I think are capable of becoming good players or filling the hole: Nigel Bradham at OLB, Da'Norris Searcy at SS, Mark Anderson at DE2 and one of our young guys should be able to shape into a third/nickel corner. That leaves six needs to make a move on this offseason, along with depth/injury replacements.
  15. I got the same info, just didn't feel like typing it out ha. Good work. Murray isn't coming out, but I know why you put him on here.
  16. Thought you were talking about when Parcells said nobody under 63% completions. But the QBs in this draft that fall under the Parcell's rule: Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, Landry Jones. That's it. Nassib is two wins short from following his rules.
  17. Kevin Minter is, and will one day be, the best linebacker in this draft.
  18. He's not for us. He's two years on a bench from being anything resembling a starter.
