  1. We would need the Titans, Browns and Cardinals to win to break the tie with everybody and lockup the 6th, maybe 5th pick in each round. But to be honest, I think we're going to win tomorrow...
  2. You serious? It's for Sandy Hook Elementary School. Every team in the NFL, except the Redskins, wore them last week. That's an awesome gesture. I must point out that these are my favorite helmets in team history. They are so well crafted.
  3. This isn't anything out of the normal at all. Potential head coaches do this every year to prepare for job openings.
  4. We have the tiebreaker over just about every team but the Raiders going into, and likely coming out of this weekend. A lot of teams that we have played, play each other this weekend which locks a 1-1 record added to our SOS. Even with all that, we'll likely not go above a .490 SOS which should be enough to keep the tiebreakers.
  5. That's completely false. It was almost a 100% lock that Mario was going to walk and everybody knew it.
  6. There's already a thread on this subject, but yea, next year's schedule is very tough. Which is why this year requires that Gailey be fired. We had such an easy schedule and he just blew it.
  7. It's called speculation. Nobody here has any influence on the actual decisions being made so to speculate doesn't hurt anything. People take these talks way too seriously.
  8. I really really like Minter by the way. He's made a lot of plays on tape that our LBers don't make. If we could somehow end up with the picks to land Tyler Wilson, Justin Hunter/Terrance Williams (or a few of the other stud WRs in this draft I like) and Minter it'd be a dream.
  9. We're talking about $450 grand in cap space, but $3 million in actual cash. That's cash that could really help operating money and the billion year old Wilson.
  10. There are no worthwhile QBs available for trade or in free agency other than Kirk Cousins (and MAYBE Matt Flynn if we can get him for cheap). But in the draft, I like Smith, Wilson, Glennon (and Murray but I doubt he declares).
  11. In a perfect world, we should trade down to like 10 or 11 while acquiring another 2nd rounder, then draft Tyler Wilson there. Then we can use that 2nd to trade back up into the 1st to land a WR.
  12. Well Thigpen is already a free agent, so I'm not sure why he pointed out getting rid of him. Cutting TJ is ridiculous, he's a damn rookie. Agree with the rest, though. But cutting those guys isn't going to bring us very much cash. Kelsay is the only guy that would give us any cap room there. Cutting George Wilson and/or Brad Smith would bring us the most cap space of cuttable people.
  13. Nassib has solidified himself as at worst a 3rd rounder. A good game here probably locks him into the 2nd round.
  14. I think this is true, but I won't believe it until I hear it actually happening instead of "it will happen."
  15. Depends on who we hire and depends on where/if he lands.
  16. Williams and Hunter are the two WRs I like the most in this draft. Would LOVE to land a QB AND one of them in the same draft.
  17. On Whaley: he hasn't been involved long enough here to get a good read. He was involved mainly in scouting opposing teams in Pittsburgh so I don't really know what skills he has yet. However, he has been a finalist for multiple jobs in recent years, so he must be qualified. I have heard a lot of good, though. He was a big endorser of Cordy Glenn by the way. And I've liked Glenn so far.
  18. Well just looking at the Colts drafts while he was there 2006 and beyond, they drafted just about nobody from that list of conferences above. I don't know much about what he prefers player wise.
  19. He doesn't really have any players tied to him. He hasn't been in Atlanta long enough to tie anybody to him. Kelvin Hayden is the only guy that played for both Atlanta and Indy in his time with the two teams. Not somebody that would be much of a difference maker here. I want Doug Whaley as our GM if anybody other than Nix at this point, but I do like what I've heard from people on Caldwell. TD has done a fine job in Atlanta, so maybe he's rubbed off on him a bit. He's been VERY aggressive.
  20. I'm talking about coordinator candidates, not head coaching candidates. And also, I don't think Nick Saban will be worth the money it would take to get him.
  21. Chip Kelly and "Chuckie" are coming to the NFL unless it's for a HC gig.
  22. I personally think Mike Mularkey is the only decent head coach we've had in this era of playoffless...ness.
  23. It's unfair to make this list though because a lot of these guys are very good candidates for head coaching jobs...
  24. That's Calvin I am not a fan of Dysert at all. I'm actually more keen on this draft of QBs than most are, but he's not one I like. I think the Bills have to come out of the draft with one of Geno, Wilson, Barkley or Glennon. I think at least two of those guys will have successful NFL careers. Bray and Murray are two guys I have behind those guys that I wouldn't hate if we bring in somebody that can start for a year or two while we wait for them to get more complete.
