  1. James Cook ran the ball 9 times for 20 yards. 3.3 YPC is not a good metric by any standard IMO. Allen scrambles inflated this as well (26 yard TD scamper). The team we’ve seen the last two weeks is not the same as it was earlier the last time we played. This is predictive and speculative, so I could be off base. I feel they’ve found their stride trying to stay ahead of the sticks and limit exposure to the pass rush and reduce need to push the ball down the field. The Brown point is fair. However, RBs were 19 for 49 yards at a whopping 2.6 YPC. All did most of the work here. We just dominated two of the best run defenses in football. That’s what makes me think they’re going to attack this game differently
  2. I’ve seen many people predict the Bills finally unleash their aerial assault through guys who’ve underperformed expectations this season. I am expecting the opposite. I fully think they believe they can impose their will and outmuscle the Chiefs on offense. We’ve got maulers up front, and multiple dangerous options in the backfield (Allen included). It makes the most sense to me that they’ll double down on their commitment to the run and when asked to throw, it’ll be the usual suspects. I do not anticipate a dominant pass catching performance from the likes of Cooper, Coleman or Kincaid. Last time the Bills played the Chiefs, they could not and would not run the ball. I expect that to be very different this time around.
  3. Prepare to be disappointed I am encouraged by the latest use of pressures from McDermott vs Baltimore. The look you mention puts a ton of pressure on the back end of the defense if your rushers can not get home. I’d hope that they can get creative on how they bring those 3 rushers (if that’s what they choose to do) to try and get guys better looks to get to the QB.
  4. Didn’t he play 3 snaps vs Baltimore? Not exactly a fair sample size
  5. As many clutch plays as Milan has made, there were a handful of times in this game that Milano missed opportunities to bring a ball carrier down 1v1. He was often used to try and limit Lamar Jackson as a spy/controlled rusher and he was unable to bring him down. Williams is a sure tackler, so I wonder if they got to a point at the end of the game where they wanted to give Dorian a go.
  6. Idk who told you that happens but whoever it was, you should ask her for your money back
  7. You can put Cooper in the same boat as Von in this regard: Players who are past their prime, and have limited opportunities to contribute. We don’t need either guy to play even 50% of snaps or regularly being asked upon to do the dirty work. However, when they’re called upon in a crucial moment, can step up and get it done. You don’t need volume reps to break the game open. They aren’t who they used to be, but we only need a flash of it at the right moment and it’ll have all been worth it. We’ll see if it’ll come to be. I credit Beane with making the move given the state of the roster, low asset investment and potential return. Time will tell.
  8. They should have flipped the divisional round games to Sunday for the 1 seeds…I mean they already went 14 days between games, might as well make it 15. That way you can have your 1 seeds potentially playing the following Sunday, allowing for the teams who have been slugging it out a extra days rest. If the NFL truly wants parity, they’ll need to update the format
  9. I was wondering what kind of injury goes from dude can’t walk to nah I’m good overnight? Deep bone bruise? Also re: Benford in the protocol, do we know he actually sustained a concussion? Players can work through the protocol without actually haven’t gotten concussed.
  10. That 5-2 look was really effective. Limits the ability to double guys and get more 1v1 matchups across the LoS keeping the LBs cleaner. I haven’t seen any of the film, but I’d be curious to watch it back to see how it all unfolded when slowed down.
  11. Respectfully disagree. This is not about a single game, but the trend and his career progression after investing a large asset into him. Discussing what went well and what can improve is exactly what we do here. IMO I’d rather roll with Knox at this point
  12. I hear you. I just don’t know where you’re getting a guy like that…they don’t really hit FA anymore and when they do, it is out of our range.…we just took a swing at one with pick 33. Hopefully we take another hack at it in those first 60. I think getting DL help in the draft will get better ROI especially early on.
  13. Yes and no. Aside from Hollins (who I fully expect them to re-sign) the WR room is all under contract. Coleman Samuel Hollins Shakir Whoever they bring in will be competing for 25-30% snap share. I don’t think they’re dying for one, but it is definitely on the radar in the first 60 picks
  14. McDermott runs through: Sean Payton Jim Harbough Andy Reid on the way to Super Bowl 59 and some will still question him
  15. This would have been a pretty sick wrinkle had it been planned and he did it before getting hit. Zone Read Toss. QB keeps the ball and laterals to the back or another player coming in orbit motions
  16. I just think back a few years to a goal line play when Allen faked the QB keeper and then dumped it over the top to Knox for the TD.
  17. Great win, and I will take them anyway they come….but I need to air out some concerns. Spare me the “I can’t believe you’re complaining” quotes as I am acknowledging they got it done when it mattered: I though Douglas was rough all around today. Redeemed himself with the onside recovery. Dawkins got screwed on that holding penalty…egregious! Coleman got lucky on the DPI call…extended the drive for points. Throwing to the boundary guys has to improve….Coleman cooper Kincaid have to show up. 1st 2nd and 3rd round investments are nowhere to be seen. It’s getting really clogged up in the MoF for Shakir and the ground game to operate Ravens did not punt…turnovers are fantastic and timely but not sustainable ways to end drives. Need more on 3rd down. 71 can’t keep his feet at the end of the game…slipped multiple times. I was dying. limited rush from the front 4 but effective bringing pressure looks. Ravens front was stout, but so is our OL. We have a fantastic group. Mac Hollins is begging for 15. 3rd and 2 at the goal line final drive. Idc about running Allen but I’d rather give him a pass option too. Not enough of letting Allen extend plays. Could Keon Coleman catch Von Miller in a foot race?
  18. Bone headed play to throw that football by Williams on first and 10…just eat it. This is why I believe it’s usually best to let the guy who is paid to throw the football, throw the football.
  19. If you don’t re-sign smoot, this is a guy that could come in and compete for snaps but I wouldn’t be expecting very much from him. I still see this future as: Groot AJ Rookie Solomon Smoot/Young(if you want it)
  20. Sack fumble was pretty huge. 4th down stop for lions too
  21. Yea but not in the jaw with the crown of your helmet.
  22. Unnecessary hit on Goff H2H
  23. They blitzed from that side. Got caught. Guys gotta make a play.
