  1. Seen the ads for it. What’s the target age range?
  2. I thought it was a decent start. Hoping for a much more in depth looks into the classroom and discussions with players, film, etc
  3. I’m rather sure these players know exactly what the coaches are thinking of them. There is not much beating around the bush with value and projections. Your thoughts might be true as a way to send a message, but it is not the primary way. They are directly spoken with about what they’re doing well, what they need to do better, more of, etc.
  4. I can understand everyone’s perspectives: pay him, don’t pay him, ride the storm and he’ll play, etc. The one thing I cannot fathom is how some people come off as personally offended by this situation lol
  5. First in 3rd grade my dad fell off the second story roof. Broke both arms. Second, I thought my daughter swallowed a coin that was stuck in her throat. She said she did, so I panicked and it was stuck as she was being weird. X Ray proved not to trust a 3 year old.
  6. Idk but put the playbook on it
  7. I agree. If you didn’t get it the first THREE YEARS what makes you think it’ll be different now?
  8. @H2o has us keeping 6 WRs. Have we ever done that under McD? Shavers would make sense but from a purely ST role. I feel like they like that depth on the defensive side of the ball.
  9. QB - Allen, Trubisky RB - Cook, Davis, Johnson FB - Gilliam WR - Shakir, Coleman, Palmer, Samuel, Moore TE - Knox, Kincaid, Hawes OT - Dawkins, Brown, Grable, Van Demark OG - Torrence, Edwards, Anderson C - McGovern, Van Pran-Granger Offensive thoughts: This side of the ball is almost identical to last years roster with the exception of 3 changes (Hollins, MVS, Q Morris). I think it’s fairly straight forward to predict. The QB, RB and OL rooms remain unchanged while the 3rd sting TE and WR rooms get a mild change. DE - Bosa, Rousseau, Jackson, Solomon, Epinessa DT - Oliver, Jones, Sanders, Walker, Carter, LB - Bernard, Milano, Williams, Andreesen, Spector, Ulofoshio CB - Benford, Hairston, White, Johnson, Strong, Codrington (KR/PR) S - Rapp, Bishop, Forrest, Lewis, Hancock Defensive thoughts: This is where the challenge lies. A lot of the competition here is new arrival late round picks vs older more seasoned back end of the roster players. With the youth movement on D, I option to keep some of the younger guys (Ulofoshio over Thompson, Strong over Ingram). A few tough cuts here with Demar Hamlin, Dane Jackson. I think they like Cam Lewis as a jack of all trades emergency DB so I think of the “old guard” players he will be back. You would suspect that Beane will have foresight in how to approach when Hoecht and Ogunjobi return, as there is no way they will keep 12 DL. Maybe he is counting on some injuries or the trade market, but my guess is someone not subject to waivers would be in the plans in order to handshake deal bring them back to the PS like Forrest, Epinessa or even DaQuon Jones (3 guys who are likely done here next year anyway). Add in your 3 special teams roster locks and there is 53.
  10. Well there is no way they’re only keeping 3 DTs. Alec Anderson is OL also. The only way shavers makes the team at WR6 is for special teams. A possibility but I would think they’d prefer the depth elsewhere. You also have them keeping Hancock twice. i am going to start fresh with a full 53 in a bit I hope
  11. Shots fired. Seems like a pretty harsh judgement on his character. Any particular statement that makes you think this?
  12. No clue. I wasn’t trying to hate on him in particular. I just genuinely enjoy the evolution of fan perspective from draft, free agency, camp, preseason, etc. Its absolutely comical at times (skinny Kincaid, Dion is fat, Edmunds is so young, etc) If I had to guess, I think he’ll end up around 50 catches, 800 yards. So roughly 3-50 a game
  13. I absolutely love the rollercoaster of fandom. Camp crush Keon Coleman got everyone salivating and watch him post a 2-15 line in week one and this board is going to absolutely lose it lmfao.
  14. Big fan of these weekly @HIT BY SPIKES threads so looking forward to it this year. Zero preseason effort, as we are flying around squeezing in the last bit of summer before the return to fall madness post Labor Day.
  15. I’ll bite. Any day 3 pick would be fine by me.
  16. Former UB Bull RB Jarrett Patterson caught a pass out of the backfield
  17. Surprised Hampton is getting early work. I guess better now than in two weeks.
  18. We all know how unlikely this is….and that said: I had the same feeling when they announced the Diggs trade rumors. There’s just no way! And look what happened. I understand that Diggs was then and this is now and there are a variety of difference between player, age, money, franchise situations, etc but it’s just a reminder to never say never. If I know one thing about Beane, it’s that he probably will inquire. No stone left unturned.
  19. My guess is your referring to the triple option play/scheme more so than the wishbone formation. If so, it is antiquated for today’s NFL. The EPA on run plays is just far too low to rely on FB dive to march the field, as well as limiting the size of the field of play. There is just too much potential benefit in throwing the ball, and too much risk in relying solely on the run. The closest thing I can draw a parallel to in modern ball is the RPO, which adds the passing element to the game and stretches the field while still bringing an element of leverage to the point of attack.
  20. What kind of knee surgery are you back from in 1-2 weeks?
