I'm taking the Rams in my Survivor pool this week. The Rams still have all 6 of their division games left and the NFC West is going to be a blood bath so I am avoiding those games at all costs. Should be an easy win for a pissed off Rams team.

There seems to be a lot of smoke to the fire. Even Jeremy White I believe tweeted something today about hearing how the Bills are putting together a protocol to give to the state. It sounds like they have some kind of plan ready and are going to need the Governor's stamp of approval. I think Erie County has been below 1% infection rate the last 3 days too.

I don't think they would flex us since we are playing on Thursday night the next week.

I've been going to Sportsbook at the Seneca Creek Casino downtown and betting on 4 team parlays this season. $10 each time, 3-1 both weeks so far. This week: Minnesota +3 vs Tennessee Washington +7.5 at Cleveland (I almost bet the moneyline on this one on a bigger separate bet) Carolina +6.5 at LA Chargers (Panthers cost me my parlay last week, hopefully I don't regret it again) KC +3.5 at Baltimore

We added an extra I/R spot strictly for a player out because of COVID. We also allowed are traditional I/R spot to be used for a player on COVID as well. I'm more looking forward to going to place bets at the Sports Book downtown on weekly games.

At this point I would be all for delaying the start of the season a month. Push everything back and start in October (move Weeks 1-4) to January. Let ***** settle in the south and maybe, MAYBE we won't have to worry about a spike in cases in September.

Illinois just announced their Phase 4 plan starting Friday, which allows 20% capacity for outdoor sporting events. If numbers improve they might go up. Hope it is the same in New York. Of course we have ***** shows going on in Texas, Arizona and Florida now so who knows.

Comparing TV ratings to something over 20 years ago makes zero sense given the change in the TV landscape. They were not approaching 0. They stabled out to where, as others have said, were doing better than the NHL and college basketball at the same time.

What I found weird is that a lot of retailers are already opened for Curbside pickup. So I didn't know why that was included in Phase One. The more I thought about it though, it might make it easier to go from Phase 1 to Phase 2 with that in there. If those stores are already open, it shouldn't affect the numbers drastically in this stage and might make a move to Phase 2 easier.

So, Cuomo did say sports can open without fans RIGHT NOW Someone asked him a follow up question regarding football and sports etc. He basically still left the door open for fans. He said if sports can get by without revenue from attendance then they should. But if not it is something they will address. So the door was left open.

Yeah I mean if the hospitalizations fluctuate up 1 down 1 every day does that keep resetting the 14 day decline for hospitalizations needed to reopen? Or would it then switch to the daily hospitalizations being under 15 I believe? If its the former that is really dumb.

Wouldn't this affect college more, especially the scholarship situations? Most schools have their scholarship spots filled by the Draft. Lets say they have 5 players not drafted that want to come back. Where do the scholarships come from?

Why does every thread get filled with "too bad the season will be cancelled/possibly no fans" comments? Can we please just talk about the schedule and nothing else? I like the balance of it. No more than two back to back home or away games. My boss at work is a 49ers fan and a bunch of us are trying to tell him that a trip there for a 49ers game sounds like great team building.

Today at Cuomo's press conference he said that businesses need to submit a plan for reopening. So does this mean the mom and pop shoe store is going to have to give the governor and actual list before they can reopen just like a large chain restaurant would? This seems really confusing. I liked how Cuomo has handled this for the most part. Maybe it’s the fact I haven’t been able to do anything for a week outside because of the ***** weather getting to me. But his press conferences have had less answers every day. I’m not saying open everything tomorrow. But you’ve had two months to come up with some semblance of a plan (after having no plan to close) and we still have few answers outside of construction and manufacturing can open somewhat on the 15. I think it’s becoming clear that Cuomo is trying to 1. Kick this as far down the curb as allowable (reopening) and 2. Make himself come off blameless if things go bad. I’m pretty sure tomorrow new cases could go from 1000 to 1 and he would still say it’s bad. I mean yesterday was the one nice day we've had in a week and people were out left and right hanging out in driveways, and it is going to get harder to tell people no when the weather actually turns nice.
